Moreno with Lewis , Johnson and Ament would be extremely good class with players that complement very well …. but we are underdogs for Ament. I will keep my ears open. One of the AAU coaches that I know for family reason, coaches at the same HS where Ament goes.

I just loved these guys and never felt their greed or look at me. A l9t of them played really injured and bleed, some same game, Oweh and Colin, blood steaming down their faces, result one foul against us🤡🤡🤡.

I thought it was between UL/duke. Now I'm seeing reports that ark made up ground and it's between duke/ark which makes sense. UL got wooley yesterday, IMO means the figured it out as well and offered him Aments bag!
I never thought we would get Ament anyway, we went all in on Wilson. We should use the money Ament would c9mmand and get a premium portal starter now. I’d love to get a ament but not at the expense of wait being till June and have him choose a Arky or Duke.

Do you read what you post? Wilson was a piece and that is all. A HIGH SCHOOL piece. High schoolers are not going to demand the $$$ that they once did now the portal is open for business. They are just not. Might take 2 maybe 3 high schoolers the rest will be transfers and hopefully most will be multi year guys. You are seeing a transition in college athletics.
Thank God this isnt football where Duke could pay it's way to a 52 man roster. Only 5 guys and a few bench contributors.
It will be interesting to see what they do here, if they are able to convince guys like Evans and Kon to come back instead of going to the NBA, and what that means for their recruits, transfers etc. Because I can't imagine the Boozer brothers would want to compete for playing time against Ngnonga and Maluach, when they probably thought this whole time that the starting spots would be theirs.
I saw a Facebook post, but thinking it might be fake, that said Evans turned down 4.5mil from a school this week to transfer there, and that he made 2.1mil last year in Nil to play for Duke. Seemed fishy.. but this is still interesting, and makes me wonder how much Duke is going to shell out for it's program.
I dont think Ament helps us with the problems we faced in SEC play this year. I could argue he makes them worse.
Maluach and Kon have a 0.0001% chance of coming back, they will both be lottery picks and have been projected that all season (Kon maybe falls just out of it but still.) Ngongba will be back, he wasn't even going to play this year but the Maliq Brown injury changed that. I don't think the Boozer brothers would be at all worried about the Duke bigs as one of the Boozers is a guard....
Evans is a true wild card, doesn't play enough this year to get a full picture of his game as defensively he isn't on the same level as the other guys, but he can light it up. Rumors are Ament delayed his decision as he is waiting on an Evans decision. Evans could come back and be a lottery pick next year.

The longer he waits the less likely he is to choose UofL. I believe the main issue right now is seeing who is staying or leaving Duke.
have never wanted nor cared about this kids' recruitment one bit. This type of recruitment is over, and he's made a huge mistake waiting this long (couldn't care less). The transfer portal is open with proven college players, why would you take this drama queen in lieu of a mid-major play of the year or first teamer?

Agree. In my opinion this kid isn't coming to UK. He isn't worth breaking the bank over either. He won't be anywhere long enough to mature into an NBA player. 6-9 185. I know he has skills but the SEC bigs will push him around like a little girl.
This kind of antic doesn't sit well with me. I know someone is coaching him on how to maximize his value. I can't be critical of that, but it does leave a bad taste in my mouth when we want kids who want to be at UK and be about UK.

The 6'9" 185 part reminds me of Tayshaun Prince in the McDonald's game, and I had concerns about that. I was wrong.
It looks like if it were Duke, he would have already committed. Again Duke has the problem of to damn many wanting to go there, it doesn’t matter 10 All Americans are already there. They just can wait to get there and sit on that bench.
What if he surprises everyone and commits to us are you still going to be pissed at him . Little over the top don't you think cussing out a 17 or 18 year old kid about his future .
With Moreno making a pitch I don't think we have moved on at all . Mark pope is very competitive he was as a player and now as a coach .

We got 3 freshmen this year and that feels like the right number. Top 30 players don’t come to sit and having 5 or 6 freshmen needing minutes feels like a disadvantage. How many time over the last 5-8 years were we overmatched physically by 20-22 year olds in the SEC? Now sure it all depends on who the freshmen are but this feels like a sweet spot to me.
