Thought the same too. Like Burton said, fortunate this one didn't turn out any worse! That was wild. How messed up would Ty have been had it happens on his driver side?
Yeah, he definitely did that thinking he may get away with it. He committed before anyone even started turning into 1. Did not even attempt to make the corner. Then is going to act like the post race interviewer is a dumbass for asking the question.Wow! Shouldn't have taken that long to make the call there. Chastain thought he was slick haha. Appeared to be far enough ahead and on the outside to avoid the trouble.
Will be interesting to see if NASCAR will give a bigger cut of the TV money to it's charters when the agreement is renewed in 2024.It is shocking to me that Kyle Busch can't find a sponsor. Just a testament to the fact that Brian France destroyed what was a good product to the point that fans don't attend races any more and companies refuse to inject money into sponsoring a car because they feel the bang for their buck just isn't there anymore.
I think he's done after 2023 much like Dale Jr in 2017 after dealing with the concussions the year before. Busch was wavering on his commitment to racing before the accident talking about the need for young drivers to come up through the ranks and they have already signed Reddick for 2024 once Busch's deal expires. Bubba extended too. Wouldn't shock me if 23XI Racing expands to a 3rd car eventually if they can get a charter.Kurt Busch announces he will miss races at Watkins Glen, Daytona
Kurt Busch has been ruled out for the next two NASCAR Cup Series races at Watkins Glen International and Daytona International Speedway.www.nascar.com
Depends on the track. Last 10 at a super speedway would be hard to get a finish. One change I wish NASCAR would make among all of the changes they do would be the last 10 laps under green as the SRX Series does. Adjust as needed for bigger tracks like the road courses, etc. Felt that way for years now since the GWC, OT and watching races for years being finished under the yellow before that. At least for short tracks and Superspeedways. It takes the cars a lap and half to hit full speed at Daytona/Talladega and 16 seconds is a lap around Bristol..
Not necessarily for all superspeedway races. The big one could've wiped out half the field early on like last year's 500. 2020 Daytona 500 was dangerous and nearly lost Ryan Newman doing it the way it is now. The clash days before was the same way. There's really no way to avoid the chaos of a superspeedway race but the fewer the laps, the more chaotic it gets.Depends on the track. But somewhere like Martinsville or Bristol would work.
So if cars are scattered wrecked across the track, 10 laps start over? Or keep running thru the wreck? One change I wish NASCAR would make among all of the changes they do would be the last 10 laps under green as the SRX Series does. Yeah keep running through the wreck. I like that idea betterSo if cars are scattered wrecked across the track, 10 laps start over? Or keep running thru the wreck?
Stage 1 Run it in ReverseNascar keeps coming up with these crazy ideas to get fans in the seats how about a figure 8 race. Who doesn't love carnage in the form of 3,500 pound cars colliding?
I looked over at my clock and it was 1:26 this morning when they took the checkered flag. Here are some highlights of the finish. How long did that race last? I fell asleep around midnight and it wasn’t that far along yet.
lolWe have the same weather possibilities every day for eight months a year down here. It has nothing to do with hurricane season.
