Happy Tuesday. I departed Anneta, KY at 6 am yesterday morning. Drove to Hartsville, TN. Arrived at 8:30 am CST. Visited Waffle House near Carthage, TN with another cousin. Departed Hartsville at 11:30 CST yesterday morning. Arrived here in ATX at 1:50 am this morning. Totally fried. Drinking a few beers to calm down from caffeine buzz. Tuning in rental car around noon today. 2,800 miles total.

We had a celebration of life service last night. When I went through Sarah’s phone, I found where she had texted a meme to a friend about funeral kazoos for her death party. So we bought-100 plastic kazoos and ended the night by having everyone hum along to Don’t Stop Believing by Journey. She had played the song in orchestra this past spring, so a lot of her friends knew it and of course all the grownups did too.

It was a fitting tribute to her spirit.

This morning at the graveside service, a butterfly came and landed on the pastors shoulder. It stayed there until we moved it to a flower. I was told that it stayed at the flower until my wife and I left, then it flew away.

NASCAR is in state again this weekend and for the first time I’m just not interested at all.

Loved the Home Run Derby and All Star Game. I don’t know most of these players anymore, but it’s still fun to watch.

We never did get an official post-practice, sweaty, mean-mug picture from the basketball team this summer.

I mean ... Invisalign or some other orthodontics place could have a field day is supporting Beshear by getting his teeth straighter by November. It’s going to be a big race, why not. (I don’t know why his teeth bother me)
