Mounjaro/Ozempic weight loss

That's what I was thinking. If I was going to talk to my doc then I'd like the real stuff. Get me that TRT action going on.

Your insurance should cover TRT:

The good news is TRT doesn't have to be expensive. In fact, most insurance companies cover all forms of testosterone replacement therapy, which means you'll only need to cover the co-pay. Co-pays can range anywhere from $30-$100 per month, depending on your location, treatment protocol and insurance plan.

Probably want to familiarize a few key words to point your doctor in that direction but you should be able to get it. Pity Rouge isn't around right now as I think he championed it. I am getting old enough that I think I might give it a whirl myself that's why I was asking you about it.

Please don’t waste your time with OTC “Test” supplements, you’re literally donating money to that company. They may work a wee bit but not enough to make a change for you.

They used to have some that “worked” when I was I college but I’m pretty sure it was just cut with ED pills or something.

Right now if you’re not comfortable with injecting (which is the fastest, most effective overall, imo) you have these delivery pathways:
Pellets
Gel
Creams
Buccal
Patch and there may be a
Nasal Spray now but idk sounds wild to me.

Sounds pretty savage though.

“Hey man what’re you up to?”
“Nothing much besides SNORTING TESTOSTERONE!”

I was having focus issues about 10 years ago so I went to one of those "improve your mental aptitude" centers because there was one near my house and why not. The first thing you had to do was take a baseline test where they would ask you to do a bunch of simple so-called memory tests. Things like "repeat this string of words" and stuff like that.

While I was taking the test I asked the adminstrator how I was doing. She said she couldn't tell me but would provide the results at the end. My results were disasterous. I'm surprised I could even figure out how to get home at the end of the day based on how I did.

But unfortunately for them, I'm not dislexic and most of those tests were super easy. So I immediately called BS on the results and asked to take the tests again while recording the results. They declined and told them to eff off.

I mention this because I have a feeling these totally on the up and up Low T centers would do the same thing re: testosterone test results.

I thought this was a long form joke and that there would be a punchline at the end.

You might need to revisit that place.

Of course they’ll fudge the numbers for you at the clinics designed to sell it to you and that’s up to you to figure out.

I’ve posted my results to show people it was no joke. In fact, my first 2 results were at my primary who wanted nothing to do with it so she sent me to a urologist who tested me twice more and he originally set me up with it.

I now get mine mailed from a T clinic though out of ease and the fact all that was done in Florida and not here.

Going for approval later this month. Couple quotes:

The advance of Mounjaro, which is already on the market to treat Type 2 diabetes, has excited doctors and patients who have been waiting decades for effective treatments, while helping turn its maker, Eli Lilly & Co., into themost valuable standalone pharmaceutical company in the U.S. with a market value of more than $300 billion.

Mounjaro could be one of the highest-selling drugs of all time with annual sales exceeding $25 billion. Novo’s Ozempic and Wegovy brought in close to $10 billion last year, with prescriptions rapidly growing.

I wonder what kind of job in private industry rubber stamping approval on a drug at the FDA that has potential to be one of the top sellers of all time gets you.

Purdue pharma paid the guy that approved the non-habit forming label for oxy for the FDA a whopping 35k to make billions. Hopefully the new guy negotiated better terms.

We literally have the worst healthcare system of any country in the world. True story.

We have some of the worst and most expensive primary care in the world. We're awful at preventing things. We are among the best at ER and surgery due to in part to our military expenditures and resulting advancements in the field.

Sure hope you all invested in some Lilly stock, talked to some corporate patent attorneys this week and the reviews were glowing ! Primary endpoints out of this world ! 💰🍺

How much weight have you lost since you’ve been taking them?

That psyllium husk “works”. If you want to be regular that’s what you need.
Thanks, I’ll try that soon. Diabetes doc put me on Ozempic 5 weeks ago. I’m still hitting the weight training 4 days a week. Before Ozempic, I was losing about half pound per week. During the past 5 weeks, I have lost 7 pounds. Just not hungry and have to force myself to eat. Ozempic cost me about $200 bucks per month, but my blood sugar is slowly improving. Don’t like the high cost, but if it improves my quality of life, I’ll have to continue until I find a more affordable option. Hope to get back down to light heavyweight division again before I depart this earth. 😀

I'd rather not take any pills for weight loss and prefer the old fashioned route. Some folks need them I suppose

I'd rather crap my bed than be morbidly obese.
A majority of the people I know on it aren't morbidly obese. I still don't have a big issue with it assuming the person is using it as a tool to get in better shape in conjunction with exercise and healthier diet.

If they're not doing weight training while dropping that amount of weight then most of it is coming from muscle and bone, not fat.

I wonder which attorney will be the first to successfully win a multi-billion dollar class action lawsuit against these guys? I may enroll in law school just to get a jump start on it.
