Mounjaro/Ozempic weight loss

Let me suggest a little thing called cocaine. You'll be skinny, broke, and possibly divorced and/or incarcerated in no time!
I'll second this. If you are a poor, crystal meth will also do the trick as long as you don't mind open sores and a few less teeth.

The harm is because people would rather use pharmaceutical induced malnutrition to melt away any muscle and bone they have rather than balance their diet and do even minimal exercise.
Do you really think people "just don't want to balance their diet and do even minimal exercise"?

Did you have an aneurysm? WTF are you even talking about?
Put two and two together, Hank.

@anthonys735 said "people would rather use pharmaceutical induced malnutrition to melt away any muscle and bone they have rather than balance their diet and do even minimal exercise"... my argument is that people do want to eat right and exercise, but they don't have the discipline to do it in the face of several things including:

1) A food industry who has learned how to engineer food so that people overeat.
2) Genetics which for all but the last couple hundred years has our brain thinking that we should eat as much as possible to avoid lean times / and conserve energy (e.g., sit on our asses more) so that again, we'll have reserve fuel ready when needed.

As for the Musk tweet, my point for that was that even though Anth is correct, it's much better to eat healthy and workout, at least this drug is having a measurable effect on junk food consumption in this country.

It definitely works but I wonder if they should lower the dosage. I know a quite a few who took it and now they look worse than meth heads. They sure did lose weight fast though.

Went to renew my prescription last week and all the local pharmacies are saying it's on back order and one of them said they just talked to their drug rep and they likely aren't going to be able to get it until 2024.

WOW! GREAT POINT!

They've made opiates incredible. I guess we should all get on suboxone, too.

I don’t need Ozempic brodies, I’m into gaining not losing. Anyone can lose weight, gaining masses of lean muscle takes, time, correct eating and lots of weights. You all should try it.

You seem comma happy…did you go to grammar school?

The problem with working out is if I go a couple weeks without working out I get fat again - I’d rather take my medicine and eat whatever I want.

So you're the guy who check his insulin level, registers ok, and then proceeds to the nearest Krispy Kreme. SMH.

That's a recipe for disaster. You know it as well, but enjoy while you can !
Ya I figure you see on the news they interview these 90 year olds and I’ve never seen one say their secret to still living was spending thousands of hours and dollars pumping iron/testerone/steroids it’s usually simple living that’s the secret but these gyms and gnc health stores raking in the dough for people trying to get jacked.

I don't believe gyms are the answer but do believe in walking as many miles as you can a month. And eating anything you want because a pill takes care of it is foolish IMO. But to each his own.

I do walk about an hour a day but nothing strenuous I don’t want to tear an acl/achilles/pectoral muscle

Didn't know that this was just one big joke for you. Enjoy while I avoid you like the plague.
You seem like a cool dude so I’ll let it slide but what’s the point of being judgmental toward someone you don’t know. This is a discussion forum not a strongarm my opinion over someone else.

I just looked at your recent postings and it's smart allec comment after smart allec comment. Good luck and goodbye, sir.

With this logic, why make your bed (you’ll just mess it up again), brush your teeth (they’ll just get dirty again), take a shower (you’re going to get dirty tomorrow, get an oil change (you’ll just have to get another one), etc etc.

This makes zero sense and you know it. You’re lazy and undisciplined and don’t like people pointing it out so you make jokes and say stupid things like this to make yourself feel better about being hard to look at.

I agree with half that

Making a bed is useless

Oil change is important or your engine will die

Shower/brush teeth is proper hygiene so your co workers don’t make fun of you

My dentist did say toothpaste is useless just need a good toothbrush and floss

I know your questions are “leading” me into your opinion and that’s cool but it’s not all the same

Heck ya I’m down 30 pounds and never been happier and healthier - on top of the Ozempic I found a fat burner supplement online that helps too. It says fda approved so I’m set.
Healthier? Your blood work is the key indicator, not the scale. If you are eating anything you want, well, you may be a ticking time bomb and not know it.

I have a friend in his late 70s, early 80s, former professional athlete. His weight would fluctuate greatly. He would lose a lot and then gain it all back. He was placed on the drug and now looks great and feels great. I support that completely.

Yea and working out and eating healthy is important or YOUR engine will die, no different.

Making your bed is the first disciplined thing you do to start your day.

Well the only way that’s possible is that his diet and exercise fluctuated greatly so that would be on him. Consistency and discipline. It’s not complicated but it’s not easy. But if you can’t do it, you should really work on it.

As Jocko says, Discipline is Freedom and he’s 100% correct.

The man was a professional athlete for years and then a doctor. I don’t think you get to preach to him about discipline. Stay in your lane and enjoy your hobby until your engine dies. And, it will die.

Doesn’t change the fact he likely didn’t have it when it came to food and exercise. Obviously he has it in other places, but I try very hard, and fail, to be disciplined across the board.

Whether it be eating, education, drinking, training, weed, cleanliness, dog, car, job, etc, I try and keep disciplined with everything.

Not telling you to do it, I’m saying it works when you do.
