I disagree. I think most teams will and should get better as the season goes. But just look at our team to now. Very young but loaded with potential. Not to mention we're just now getting to full strength. Again, I believe we have a lot of good things to look forward to this season. Our bigs haven't practiced, much less played and are shall we say...very rough around the edges. If Bradshaw improves as much as he did from his 1st to 2nd games...look out. Granted, the first was just terrible, but is also understandable. Being so inexperienced worries me in the unc game. If Big U shows up though, that's what we need in this game. UNC will try to run with us early. If our shots are falling, they will slow it down because they nor anyone else can run with us if shots are going down. Realistically though, we shoot 45% from 2 and 33% from 3, without the bigs. With them, we may go to 58% from 2 and our 3's are less guarded, hopefully upping the percentage from outside. That's seldom gonna be a loss.

Oh ye of little faith. I hope we've all watched all of Cal's teams, both good and great. If so, you should see why I think this team is a special one and that Cal is the right man for the job. I agree that he sometimes does some things that are just plain stupid, to me. And yes, there may well be better last 4 minute coaches out there. I for one, am not better. But I don't think there is anyone better at developing outstanding talent, and he has that right now. Huge upside to this squad! I don't pretend to like all of the bashing until you can give me a name that will appease the masses as much as he has. I remember the Joe Hall years. I bet you'd loved those.

Funny how that works. It seems every year we, Kentucky, are chasing new criteria. We heard that playing the sub 300 teams was bad for you, so here we are playing several near-100 mid major teams.
