Did you actually think Kaluma, (a starter) was going to come here considering: Edwards, one of the best freshman in the country,
plays the same position, and who he would have to beat out for that starting position?
I’ll file this under news I didn’t expect today. I mean I at least thought we would get a courtesy visit.
Kansas st does not have more money than Kentucky. They have a program who is willing to play the NIL game and make guarantees.

We might as well get used to this because the NIL that Calipari wanted years ago is biting him in the butt. I wish this NIL thing has never come around. All these players were getting everything free anyways. Free education,food and lodging. But it is here to stay so might as well get use to it.
I remember a time not long ago where I would say things like, “I don’t ever worry about recruiting with Cal here. Cal will land his targets.” Boy, how times have changed. The emergence of NIL/portal has taken Cal to the cleaners. Unbelievable how far behind the 8 ball we are on all this. 🤦♂️

That's what this is really about. Calipari does not like UK or its fans. He allowed his team to kneel when he KNEW it would upset fans. He allowed one player to talk about changing Rupp Arena's name. He wants s to be fired but wants his Fab Five moment and another NBA draft night to talk about.
Yeah but pretty much every school kneeled. Our football team did it too per Matt jones. Never see these comments on the football board.
This is the downside of having the number one recruiting class. None of the other veterans that could come back did, except for two that played very little. One of them threatened to leave, now nobody in the portal really wants to come here because they know they will get limited minutes here. Going somewhere else they might get to start or at least get more playing time at another school. In order for this to work we needed at least three to come back. Next year is not going to be much different from last year. You have to have more veteran leadership for it to work.
