100% what I think is going on and it’s a shame because the fans are a casualty at this point. I think Cal is done with Barnhart and the boosters and out of spite, the boosters aren’t going to push for him to be fired because they don’t want to pay that fat buyout. My guess is they are starving him if NIL money and it’s going to absolutely crush our team in the short term but eventually someone will give on either side.
If Cal is not here Perry will be. My opinion only.
Cal and Matt suck equally in my opinion
Think Perry is too smart to come to uk if ccc is coach. Think he will watch to see how Sheppard is treated this year. If he is treated like a normal non favorite and doesn't play, Perry will go elsewhere for playing time and real coaching

I think he's speaking objectively on the state of the program. And that sort of thing used to be ok. But now if you agree with someone at all--they have to have an agenda.
I don’t have no insiders but common sense was telling me something wasn’t adding up. I hit it on the head when I was talking about the Donors being fed up and not wanting to put no more money into the program.
Most of it probably has to do with Cal withdrawing from anyone outside his inner circle of cronies. He didn't feel the need to work for the NIL funding and has basically become a hermit. But I do know for a fact that the Shaedon Sharpe fiasco pissed off a few big money guys and gals.
What I find funny is a few people on here think it’s Rafters only that’s pissed off at Cal.. No no no it’s not these donors bleed blue like most of us true fans do on here and they are sick of the $hit they are seeing done to the program we all were born into loving!

How does these all end? CAL in my opinion isnt walking away without a huge buyout being paid. Everyday he is the KY Head Coach is causing more damage to the program.

there is little to no ROI to give NIL to a mercenary player whose only concern is how he can use the program to get to the next level.
Now I happened to like Cason Wallace as a player, what he said didn't match how he played, but at the end of the day, no one is going to remember what Cason Wallace did because the season amounted to nothing notable. Fans will be lucky to remember his name 4 years from now. Cason Wallace's name isn't going to make fans want to buy cars or fast food or anything else.
This is why Cal is saying what he says about the transfer portal. It would seem he has no NIL money to spend on players and is stuck with the NBA contract promise to freshmen.
He's completely shot himself in the foot multiple times. This is just damning of Cal as a coach, if true, it shows even if he wants to , which he doesn't, but even if he wants to, he is incapable of building a veteran team in the modern system.
Any and every AD in the country must realize that, and it doesn't look like Barnhart is burning the midnight oil to solve it from a donor standpoint.

I find some parts of the show entertaining and some parts maddening but when he is right about something am I to let my disdain for the part of him I do not like blind me from seeing he is right?

Yeah, but the fab 5 didn’t really win anything and IIRC, had a couple double digit loss seasons. Our 2014 squad had a better run, but that team was deeper than this one and had an animal in Julius in the paint.

That was the media virtue signaling. We can't make decisions about what's best for the Program based on what others say who don't really care about the Program but rather the virtue signal itself. I could care less about the media b/c they care only about a sensational story whether it's factual or not.
Barney isn't hitting up the donors because his people skills are equally as bad as Cal's. No need in pissing off more donors.
Take in perspective that Jones is the same individual who took other people's information, articles written, and even radio and podcast programs as his own without giving proper credit. Jones is all about Jones. HIs narratives generally are. So I would take his thrashing of the UK program very lightly because it is just to garner attention in one of his projects. The best way to handle jones is not pay him any attention whether on his show or anywhere else. His endeavors have never helped UK or BBN. They have only profited him.
