Jaylen Brown to Kentucky.....

This is the news we need! Fingers crossed that he comes our way! He could be a first team AA and really shine with Ulis/Briscoe feeding him the ball!

I have to admit that I thought the timing of Kirk's signing with NCST when it was being reported he was finalizing his visit to UK this weekend. He was clearly wanting to come check things out. Then, abruptly, he signs with NCST all of a sudden. It's not impossible to think Cal got word that Brown was likely coming to UK and advised Kirk he wasn't going to be needed after all so the guy fell back on his previous option. No way I believe Kirk "just decided" to not visit and go ahead and sign with NCST.
I thought the same thing. From what the coach had said Kirk was all excited about visiting Uk and to have him all of a sudden sign with NC state was odd to say the least.

He really wants to develop his game and Beilein is the best in the business at that....Calipari is a fine coach and obviously the best recruiter of all time but Beilein gets his hands on this kid and next year could be really special. .....You all owe us one for Booker anyways....Do you have to get all the ballers I'm mean come on

After 93, we owe you guys nothing.

Uh, Loney didn't "confirm" anything, he just said "Scout does not have a commitment to report"

The rumor isn't that Brown committed, the rumor is that he will commit to Kentucky.

There were multiple tweets saying that a scout analyst was saying Brown to UK was confirmed. Loney stated that Scout was making no such statements.

I'm not nervous, as I was never expecting Brown to come to Michigan in the first place. I'm just pointing out that the tweets that sent twitter in a frenzy don't hold much credibility.

Please people, including the OP
Think before you start a new subject title.
Even if you are almost 100% sure do not make it sound that what you are saying is a done deal.
With all the experiences that us fans have had with done deals and it did not pan out, we should have learned to wait until it becomes true, instead of making a wishful prediction

Don't ???????? Marks make it a question rather than a statement?

Actually UM seems to be the consensus pick among those in the "know".

Yeah, I'm aware, and I'd be ecstatic. I'm just saying that Michigan got skin the game late in the cycle and it never really seemed like it was a legit possibility. When LeVert announced his return, that was enough for me. Anything else would be gravy and I wasn't expecting Brown to continue with his Michigan interest. I don't get nervous playing with house money.

Few seen Diallo to Kansas. Fewer than you think at least. Ingram to Duke is an easy call, but the way he advertised that info is bold. He was still considering UNC, mind you.
Also, he didn't predict on Newman, I don't think. I'd have to go dig at it.

Which one? The only one I really pay attention to is Daniels. Frankly, the only person I look to confirm or deny rumors one way or another is the person that they're about.

Um.....

You do realize that everyone that flipped to Kansas didn't change their pick until Monday or tuesday, right? Or can you not read?

Lol what?

StraightHoops source said "I'm hearing Diallo to Kansas" 4/27/15 at 4:54 P.M.

At that time, 10 of the 17 Crystal Ball predictions for Kansas were already in. Two predictions were made the morning of the 27th which started the trend. Acting like it was some sort of revelation pick by StraightHoops is ridiculous, even for you.

Well, it was said before the trend started. It's not like Diallo didn't always have Kansas picks. He still had Kansas picks when many said it was down to Kentucky and St.John's.

I hope the straighthoops guy was not going off the fake twitter commitment from earlier today. Apparently many people believed it because the twitter handle was very close to Brown's real one.

I wouldn't say that's the case, because StraightHoops didn't claim to know, or say he seen it. Just that he heard a rumor that Brown would pick UK.

Only 2 of the 9 that switched their pick between 4/19 and 4/28 did so before straight hoops sent their tweet and both did so on 4/27 (there were no changes to Kansas between 4/19 and 4/27)

Or are you ignorant enough to think that Chris Bunn had inside information last July?

Heh, Bunn.

No, two flips Monday morning (before the the StraightHoops tweet) started the trend. StraightHoops tweeted "I'm hearing Diallo to Kansas" over 5 hours after the 2nd flip.

Again, it takes more than being right on Ingram (obvious) and Diallo (trending) to be a reliable source. I'd be impressed if he called Newmon to Miss St., but I'm not surprised we don't see a single Newman tweet.

So you agree that people were calling Diallo to Kansas before StraightHoops and flipping to Kansas the same morning StraightHoops made their tweet?

I'm not an alarmist and I think Kentucky will be fine, but it's disappointing that the best UK-related news I've had all month might or might not have come from an anonymous Twitter account that might or might not be parroting a fake Twitter account.
