Interesting take from a life long hog fan

Cal took a nose dive after the 2015 season. and one main reason. JOHN ROBIC, he left for an adminstrative position and he was the real glue. since robic left it was down hill, Robic was the planner and the x and o guy without a doubt. good luck having Brad Calapari as that guy now

Yep robic was the brains. Hard to see that till they parted.

The first big red flag for them should've been when he smirked and walked off the stage without doing woo pig.

The next should definitely be hiring brad. As if the the first wasnt bad enough.

Then the talk of cal u.

Whew boy.

Folks, Arky won 16 games last year. Cal will win 24-25. This time next year they'll be having the greatest night in the history of the state of Arkansas celebrating a couple draft picks.

They're going to have some cultural relevancy that they haven't had before. Mussleman was/is a good coach, not sure he brought much to the table outside of that. Cal, even as he slips past his prime, has cultural relevancy in spades.

Arky is going to be talked about, they are going to be on the radar of talent that would never consider them before. Cal was just on the Pat Macafee show doing his Cal thing, regardless of whether or not you like Cal or Pat, that show is kind of the "it" show for the upcoming generations of sports talk consumers.

They're going to get pre-season love, in season love. People love Cal, there may be a few refs who don't, but by in large the basketball/media/entertainment world likes Cal. He's got some homers across that landscape. They always hype him, his teams, and individual talents that recruits/coaches. This day and age they're all about that "players first...getting theirs...feeding the family...etc" that Cal pioneered long before it was popular.

Hogs will be tickled shitless.

Cal will win a few big games they shouldn't at Arkansas but he will also lose some head scratchers. He also will win nothing of substance, no regular season titles, no SECT titles and very few NCAAT wins.

College basketball has changed so much in the past ten years and Cal has failed to adapt. I guess in his mind, Brad will change the offense, be the best recruiter in college basketball and lead them to the promised land.

They will be good. They will have more talent than they have had in years. They will be shaking their heads in disbelief as to what happened that they couldn't make it to the sweet 16 with all that talent.
