Folks, Arky won 16 games last year. Cal will win 24-25. This time next year they'll be having the greatest night in the history of the state of Arkansas celebrating a couple draft picks.
They're going to have some cultural relevancy that they haven't had before. Mussleman was/is a good coach, not sure he brought much to the table outside of that. Cal, even as he slips past his prime, has cultural relevancy in spades.
Arky is going to be talked about, they are going to be on the radar of talent that would never consider them before. Cal was just on the Pat Macafee show doing his Cal thing, regardless of whether or not you like Cal or Pat, that show is kind of the "it" show for the upcoming generations of sports talk consumers.
They're going to get pre-season love, in season love. People love Cal, there may be a few refs who don't, but by in large the basketball/media/entertainment world likes Cal. He's got some homers across that landscape. They always hype him, his teams, and individual talents that recruits/coaches. This day and age they're all about that "players first...getting theirs...feeding the family...etc" that Cal pioneered long before it was popular.
Hogs will be tickled shitless.
