he** can UNCheat and UoLol both claim that they "almost" had Shaq? The tarholes say "if not for signing Matt Wenstrom, Shaq was coming to Chapel Hill". Also "coulda" had Durant and Kobe and Garnett. The tards say not just Shaq, but LeBron and Porzingas as well, and if Crum had beaten Bird in a game of horse they would've had Bird too. That's gold, Jerry, gold I tell ya!

Much like unc claims Helms titles and UL claims they matter outside Jefferson County. You can say anything and believe it. I believe in rainbow pooping unicorns. See it's that easy

All of that stuff and those dreams are gone with the wind for UL, as for Carolina, they had everybody they wanted and are still behind in championships and two of them were given to them. Webber calling time out and Georgetown throwing the ball to Worthy for a lay up, There has never been a coach who has done less with more than Dean Smith. Both programs know they might be going away for a while so the fans are wanting people to remember them.

Lebron was Ohio State's to lose. Kobe was going to Duke. I don't know about Kevin Durant but I do remember reading an article about him wanting Tubby and Kentucky to recruit him harder. Of course we didn't... Not saying we "almost" had Durant, but come on man! Tubby could have gave us a chance!

And, and Anthony Davis almost went to UK. Wait. He did go to UK.:)

I think tubby thought he had Wright that year..

I almost had Jennifer Aniston, had she been my next door neighbor and was in love with me, I couldda had her..

Shaq just admitted he took money to go to LSU. So, his other top choices might want to distance themselves.

Don't remember any of the Durant stuff, but your right on about Kobe and Lebron. Also, uofl did recruit Shaq, but Dale Brown had that relationship for years.

Their Garnett talk is laughable...his top choices we south carolina (where he is from), and Michigan. Remember Garnett had trouble passing his SAT. I'm assuming that's why unc wanted him bc it wouldn't matter, bc after he declared he magically scored high enough.

I think Dale Brown first met Shaq on a military base in Germany and thought he was a soldier until Shaq told him otherwise.

Bird was too backward and small town/country at the time for Indiana. Im sure he would have fit like a glove at Louisville in the late 70s. When the campus was a bunch of scattered buildings all over Louisville and there were more gold teeth than brain cells on the team (prior to prop 48).

Yeah Dale Brown saw Shaq when he was like 13 and thought he was a grown man. Shaq had wanted to play @ LSU since he was a kid. It's a pretty good 30 for 30 if you get the chance to watch it.

You're spot on with Garnett. I knew it was South Carolina and someone else but couldn't remember who. But you're right, it was Michigan.
