It always happens in Rupp. Cal wanted that game more than any game in the last decade at least. He had everyone fired up and we were down and hurt. That’s all there was and they played over their averages of course.

Well we all knew if there was one game Cal and Arky would be fired up for and play with max intensity, it was the UK game.

With that being said, UK played no defense that game, while Auburn at least played defense last night. Pope insisted on having UK go under screens throughout the game...plus recovery off pick and pops was terrible.

Z, Wagner, and Thiero had that game circled on the calendar for nine months. It was the biggest game of the year for them and they wanted to prove the entire arena wrong for being happy Cal was gone and they wanted to shut everyone up after being booed. It's human nature, revenge is a powerful motivator. There was no way our guys were going to be as motivated or pumped up for that game because Arkansas and Cal mean nothing to them.
