I’ve laid off mags for a while. But he’s ramped the humble bragging up to record levels the past few weeks and nobody else ever gives him any grief about it so I figure a few little remarks here and there might level him out some.
[Redacted] haha the Morgan Wallen cousin thing does set me up for grief. I will accept it. His success is cool to see, even more so considering where he is from

I will not apologize for thinking it’s wild my car is in that video and I didn’t know. I am not sure I have ever been more surprised than when I watched that video and saw it

The Willie Nelson 90th show was one of the coolest experiences of my life. So many great artists in one place. Not sure I will ever top it

Not sure I have ever seen a recruit keep his final destination quieter than Hunter Dickinsom

I have spent the past day and a half at work going through the data on a forensic extraction of a phone. There is a hilarious amount of porn. Between the cache and the downloads, the images data is just straight up tig ol bitties.

While I'm sure certain persons in this thread have watched a lot of porn at work, it is weird as hell to watch porn in the office. Also, thanks to the client who will be paying me for the 9 hours I've spent clicking through all the smut!

“Listen, there is nothing wrong with a man enjoying some erotic adult cinema during one - or both - of his state-law-required 15-minute breaks. I get two per eight-hour work day under the law, and that is MY time. If Sheila in the cubicle next to me doesn’t care for it, that’s what headphones are for. This is a GD witchhunt.”

“Sir, the question was, ‘What is your name?’”

Wrapping up my fun, solo, 4-day Lexington/Lou galavanting as my son takes his last UK final exam.

Highlights and snackdown:

Tolly Ho
Drinks at the Elwood Hotel (nightly)
Lockbox dinner - dope pimento Mac cheese and pork chop
10:00 Mass at St Paul’s
Nate’s Coffee Beans
Justin’s HOB (low key unicorn Alabama Dettling Barrel purchase for $79)
Bardstown Bourbon Co lunch and tour
Louisville - FABD Smokehouse Lunch amongst alcoholics…shitty BBQ
Visit with gramma. She turned 90 3-weeks ago
Blind Squirrel drinking reunion with 7 college buds. That place is yuge
La Taquiza alPastor taco Tuesday
Nap - haven’t had one in decades. Highly recommend

Dinner with my son at frat house at 6:30

12-hour road-trip at 7am…. Be cool KY. See ya in August.

Worked remotely from my hotel room from 7-11. Gamechanger. I go back to City for a Thursday week start and not be buried in emails and blindsided issues.

Friends and family were pleasantly surprised at my weight loss. Proud of that. Worked out in hotel gym every morning at 5. Cute little hotel (Elwood) provide enough for ample workout and sweating.

Dreading car ride tomorrow, but at least I will have a companion on this leg. My son is going to have a rough time saying goodbye to his girlfriend

I am not thrilled with the offensive line portal departures. We will need at least 1-2 young and capable replacements for Wholly and Buford.

My healthy, NJ church deacon visited Antigua for a destination wedding over the weekend, ate something that caused Lysteria/Meningitis. He prolly won’t survive due in part to shitty medical resources in a third world paradise. lesson learned- I for one, will choose exotic locales to visit within a stones throw of a city of capable doctors.

I linked it on The Main Board. There are a lot of Bourbon lovers there and a huge thread where they have 3-4 daily raffles. If you get some out of state/area entries then some of them might have entered.

Damn, this place is like a time machine. I probably haven't been here in a decade.....wasn't even sure GYERO would still exist, let alone the names be recognizable. The first time I logged on, we were courting Bobby Perry and Sheray Thomas. What a world. I remember way back when Wildcat Willy was moving left to right across my computer screen, and now, here it is. The world has moved on, but BBDK is still Mr. Farm Bureau, Anth has the HVAC sector on lockdown, and 80 is still repping entry level bourbon. This is nostalgia.

Thanks guys,
I needed this.

Thanks, Chief. We already quite a few out of area entries. We were on some bourbon podcast last week.

They win it, we'll ship it.
Go over there and explain it better than I did. Those dudes are always coming off the hip for charitable things. The thread should be near the top and as a gold member you can post there.

* Started on Southernmost (Silas House). Was anxious to see if this new Commonwealth of Kentucky Poet Laureate was a talented novelist or just an ordinary writer getting attention for identifying across the Alphabet spectrum. Honestly, I think it's more the latter.

But I'm still happy to support a fellow Kentuckian.

* All-time underrated stand-up comedian:

Harland Williams....

* Ric Flair's JRE podcast was okay, but not great. I was surprised he wasn't a better storyteller, especially considering he has absolutely zero shame.

* Nowadays I refer to my clothing ensemble as my 'fit, removing the first syllable. Really endears me to the younger generation.

* Hal Ketchum has at least 3 legendary bangers....

- Small Town Saturday Night
- Past the Point of Rescue
- Mama Knows the Highway

Short career, but some major hits. I'd say he's the Sandy Koufax of the 90's country genre.

* Article up on KSR today about Dermontti Dawson, which reminds me of a time we were bar hopping in college and Showkilla thought he saw him at Nicholson's Cigar Bar (RIP) downtown.

Killa = "Hey, uhhh......Der....uhh...."
Him = "Dermontti?
Killa = "Yeah."
Him = "Dawson?"
Killa = "Yeah, you're Dermontti Dawson, right?"
Him = "No. I'm another black guy."

It happens.

* I've always been uncomfortable using the term "his/her person." That phrase just doesn't make sense to me.

He had some cash and a loaded weapon on his person.

Huh?

* The following people are still alive, unless I'm mistaken: Kenny Owens and Greg Austin. Miracles happen every day.

* Speaking of which.....is Jimmy Carter going to live forever? He was in hospice ready to go at any minute like 4 months ago.

* In addition to having lots of cousins, black people love CashApp. Weird. PayPay? Nope. Vemno? Nah. But they all about that CashApp$$.

* You know whose mama knows the highway now by heart?

Yours. Yours does.

* Graham Ashcraft finishes bereaving to come back and toss another gem. Ink this guy to a long term commitment NOW.

"Stay Forever" is one of the best 90's country ballads, and even "Tonight We Just Might Fall in Love Again" is pretty underrated in its own right.

Ketchum was awesome. Hate that dementia got the best of him.

Quick hitters:
-Chad and I don't always see eye to to eye but we're in sync on sitcoms. He was right about this season of Ted Lasso. Fantastic.

-Succession, this season started out like a Lion, but I'm officially worried they're gonna f*ck this up.

-Cal hanging out with Tunechi and Slick Willie in the same week.

-Wouldn't be a proper Derby without dodging some storms.

-Love seeing AD ball out in the playoffs.

-Got my tickets, William.

Few years ago during a late night at Patrick's two of my inebriated buddies started shooting pool with a couple of African Americans that were very obviously hustling dopey drunk white boys such as ourselves.

They got down $20 a piece, and in true fashion neither had any cash. My buddy came up to me asking for it, which I of course didn't have. So I asked another friend, and he didn't have it either.

So my loser pal turns to one of the brothers and asks if they'd take Venmo.

"N, AINT NOBODY GOT MF VENMO!"

We were all a bit nervous at this point, so we asked one of our wives and thankfully she had $40.

Close call tbh, but affirms pti's point. They ain't got no MF Venmo.

The brazenness of how young (35 and under) people speak to their direct mangers today absolutely blows me away.

Making what they are making at that age, I would have done whatever it took to not risk losing my job.

I’ll tell you the people who are just chaos agents are the folks who have all the pay apps.

“Yeah Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, BreadBag, InstaCoin, ApplePay, GoogleFund, FarmVille, whatever you want you can pay me whichever is easiest.”

Those folks are worth keeping an eye on imo.

AI Biggie

The AI covers people are doing blows my mind man. Like, this actually sounds like Biggie doing NY State of mind. It’s a scary technology and I don’t like it, but I would definitely listen to an album of all biggie covers. Michael Jackson doing Starboy is another good one.

I haven’t seen a reds game all year. Blackout rules atkot. Watched more college baseball than ever before tho. Hopefully the bat Cats can get hot in the tourney.

How am I supposed to feel about 45 degrees in May? I can’t remember what GYERO groupthink is on this. I feel like I hate it, but also I’m supposed to be glad it’s not a 45 degree day in January or something? Idk. I just know this weather can eat my whole ass.

*Never understood watching porn at work. That's not just a leisure activity. If it's on, there's business needing to be taken care of.

*I only deal with mofo Venmo. No others.

*May is going to be a fun month. Derby activities, Bourbon & Bowties, and Tracy Lawrence (June 1st).

*Work has been slow. I haven't laid anyone off, but I haven't been asking for replacements either. Our agencies are getting restless. F'em.

*My son graduates on the 27th and turns 18 in July. I still can't believe he will be a college man headed to Bellarmine in just a few months.

*Braves tied for the best record in the NL. They need to stay healthy. It's like watching UK basketball at times.

Cashapp is mostly for shameless promotion: soliciting donations when times are hard, asking for handouts, announcing your birthday, getting a little extra help to pay bills, etc.
