Kinda nuts that the billion dollar multimedia conglomerates figured out a way to make streaming profitable

Congrats on the weed and gambling KY, it’s the small things

I know this is taking a backseat, but the barrel tax being phased out also passed senate and will be signed before midnight for the governor to sign.

So let’s keep up the chit chatter about things we already do pretty easily to keep cover on a huge tax relief.

The state is a better place all around today!

Unless i'm suffering from insomnia and watching something in the middle of the night- our TV these days plays youtube videos of Ms. Rachel, which is a good way to make any sane parent want to jump off the roof.

So I could honestly have no monthly bill. But I'm paying for, at the very least that I know of, YoutubeTV, netflix, Hulu, Amazon, MLB TV, HBO Max, Apple TV, and Disney+- which may be included with the Hulu. I really dont effing know anymore.

If the bill is dead, why doesn’t Matt name the name now? Put the pressure on whoever it is and shame em publicly. Does no good after the fact.
I wanted to make clear that the two who were Undecided (Wise and Douglas) would be outed if they voted No. So that’s why I mentioned the other 13. Stivers and Smith decided to flip to Yes to allow those two to vote No but not be blamed for it if it didn’t pass (which I and others were ready to do)

It’s stupid but it passed so I am glad they did it

My hometown senator (Wise) and current senator (Douglas). Fun stuff.

So when will the KSR Sportsbook, a division of Red Mile Racing, be announced?

Not sure why people were focusing and the “undecided” on the sports gambling. Should have been the 12 no voters to receive the scorn.

Anyway anyone know the details of the bill? Will there be live sports books with the horse tracks plus an online component?

Man a high end resort on a pretty piece of land somewhere in between Lou-Bardstown-Lex with a small casino and sports book would be absolutely dope. JMO.
Pretty sure Krazy has the “Steve Wynn of Mt Washington” plan in action.

Know a guy who lost his cat about a month ago. Not his small child, not his wife, not his parent. His CAT. And every single day since, his social has been a treat.

We are so grateful to have had the chance to be your not-so-furry parents. Each day spent with you was a blessing. We selfishly wish you were here with us. We are so grateful to Heavenly Father that you did not appear to suffer, that you were not alone on the day you passed away, and that the last person hold you was your momma on the day you left this earth. We count these as tender mercies from the Lord. The pain of your absence is swallowed up in the joy you brought us with your love and affection. We loved seeing you run in your little jungle. We know that you run now without pain and without restriction. Your parting shocked us, and we miss you so much, sweet baby girl. Thank you for teaching us how precious each day is. Each one with you was most precious. We love you. #

Literally every. Single. Day. For a month. Normal, right?

Paulo Eskitch, a 47-year-old violinist who lives in Tulsa, Okla., is less emphatic about whether his daughter, now 7 years old, should enroll in college when the time comes.

Mr. Eskitch has a master’s degree in music and earns about $30,000 a year playing in several different orchestras. He said a degree has become necessary in his field but he sometimes wishes he had pursued welding as a career because he thinks he could have made more money.

I used to lose stuff all the time when I was a kid and my dad would say “Well, it didn’t just get up and walk away”. One time I lost my cat. It just got up and walked away.

Yeah, got a brother-in-law, Alpha male dude, who is totally overboard sharing social media posts that delve into the Sarah McLaclan In the Arms of An Angel territory. Dogs getting ready for adoption, sick dogs, dogs getting ready to be put to sleep. I mean it's sad, but get a hold of yourself man. I wanna Don Corleone slapping Johnny Fontaine him.

Maybe a little over the top, or maybe he indeed had one hell of a great cat.

In another life I was a community college teacher as a 25 year old at Pima Community College in Tucson with a Masters Degree. I was going to make 26,000 that year teaching an advanced science course with associated lab. I worked that job for 4 months, loved it, realized I would never get laid making that shitty salary, and went a complete different direction in life.

My UK roommate who went to Wake Forest Law School literally became a copper welder

I haven’t watched a final four in probably 7/8 years. Kinda sad actually that the sport I obsessively follow I don’t even watch the postseason that much. Kind of stupid actually

There is absolutely nothing wrong with trade/vocational schools. Let me be clear. But the belief that there aren't still opportunities in a college education to position yourself for a better standard of living is silly.
Absolutely. the problem is there are too many kids going up to their eyes in debt to end up working as a bank teller or selling insurance.

I think it’s actually somewhat insulting to tradesmen that people think it would be an “easier” path to go to trade school. It’s not that easy working with your hands and doing physical labor multiple hours a day. I would imagine there are some uncoordinated, weak dweebs that would be awful at it and would wreck their back or get injured early on.
