* Levis is 1-0 on the year destroying the Heisman hype of an opposing QB. We stole Anthony Richardson's soul. AR-15 might not make the CFL now, and not just because of Canada's strict gun control policies.

Coming off a bye week to get healthy, I'm betting on our quarterback who walks around like this:

* On defense, I'm hoping Deone Walker has gotten his conditioning to the point where he can play a lot of snaps and be our war daddy tackle. We don't get many sacks but if we get constant penetration in the middle of the line, that should make it much more difficult for Hooker to play pitch and catch. Oxedine has been pedestrian this year, which is surprising. Wonder if he's truly recovered from injury.

With Jordan Wright and Alex Afari, we've got linebackers who can cover while still being versatile. Valentine was a liability last year against UT. He got absolutely abused (probably because he had to play every snap and give a huge cushion because we had literally no one else to put on the field). This year he's a legit asset. Keidron Smith is solid, too.

I think the key will be whether our offense can control the clock while still consistently putting up points. If the D is on the field too much or UT gets a big lead early, we will get boatraced.

* Scangarello seemed to adapt and simplify the offense against MSU. Hopefully with a bye week, he can jettison a lot of the NFL crap that is too complicated for college and figure out a way to focus on getting the tight ends involved in the passing game, do more play action off C Rod, and get an offensive rhythm going.

* The Lakers are 0-4. Wonder if Anthony Davis regrets hitching his wagon to Lebron.

Still hard to believe Hendon is same QB from Virginia Tech bowl game that Lynn Bowden Jr beat single-handedly, in more ways than one, to heisman frontman.
$28 for a 4 pack of beers? Sorry, give me the High Life. I'm a simple man Jenny.
All these "micro-brews" have to be reaching their saturation point, no? Like bourbon, no offense Krazy, everyone thinks they can make a good one. Fine. But does the market need 5,000 of these?

Don't believe the doc when he tells you that you'll be able go back to work the next day, etc.

I had it on my jaw and my head swole up like a pumpkin and my jaw was slashed open like a prison fight. It was during COVID so I was able to do everything electronically with my camera turned off but there is absolutely no way I could have gone any place public for a week.

I still hate you but I hope the procedure goes well and you end up cancer-free, dickhead.

  • Waiting for Lynn to pop off the Patriot practice squad, passing up Mac & Zappe and run a Belicheck/Gran QB masterpiece to the playoffs.
  • Eff Tennessee
  • Smoked Mojo pork shoulder was excellent Carnitas tacos for days. Food lasts a lot longer around here without a 18 year old gavone munching mountains. Miss that guy.
  • Like Willy, I have plateaued in my fitness quest. Gotta change shit up.
  • I will kill the next dental hygienist who attempts to use the hypersonic water pick thing whilst cleaning my teeth. Bitch nearly blew out my eardrum when she hit a certain molar.
  • Knob Creek 18 was released at Beam yesterday at 3. My (mule) son got there at 9. C’est le vie.
  • For anyone coming up to see Kates in NYC, Lemme know.
  • 5 meetings today. Too much work.

- Man, way too much Ye in my feeds, message boards, papers, etc. Always thought it was all just performance art. Coming over to the more common “he crazy” POV. Either way, I’m over hearing about it. My guy who made MBDTF is gone and never coming back.

- I mean Davis got his ring but yeah. On one hand, you have to give James credit for handling fame pretty damn well and I think he’s a pretty good dude. On the other, he personifies nearly every general negative Millennial trait.

- Would be nice to see Levis have his “Heisman” moment this weekend.

- This Kentucky basketball squad is going to be nasty. The more I think about them, the more hype I get.

- 25 year class reunion in a few weeks. Count me as a guy who likes seeing old friends and acquaintances. Seems most lean the other way these days.

- That GL Christmas Ale on tap is so damn good. What a time of year.

Can you ship an in n out order down to FL?
Jeez bro, do you have to let us know you live in Florida every post? You don’t see any of the rest of us pull stunts like that.

-GL Christmas Ale is good but I prefer Rogue’s Santa’s Private Reserve personally 😉.

-First time in probably 2 years I’ve had to wait for my windshield to defrost this morning, what a pain. But that crisp air this morning was a delight.

-Whether looking about perfect for Chicago this weekend, lows in the 40s highs in the 50s with plenty of sunshine. Me and the gal pal will be pacing around some bar on the Northside come game time, that’s for sure.

Hahahaha, you’re one to talk about where you live. 😂😂

2007 is by far the best year for movies so far this century. The list includes:

No Country
Zodiac
The Assassination of Jesse James
There Will Be Blood
Michael Clayton
Charlie Wilson's War
Before the Devil Knows You're Dead
Into The Wild
Superbad
Ratatouille
Juno
American Gangster (eventhough I think it's overrated)

That's just to name a few. It was pretty much the 1997 of its decade.

0-3 for UK games in Neyland. Have been to 2 Alabama games as a work-related guest so at least I have seen those people walk away sad. It's not on my list of places I need to get back to.

I'm a long time No Laying Up podcast listener and probably my most envious thing about it is the golf rtips those guys go on. All over the world and they just got back from Scandanavia. Never considered playing golf there- but now I want to go like tomorrow. Oddly enough- i've never been on a golf trip with a bunch of buds. I've played a lot of scenarios where we drive somewhere on friday- play friday and saturday morning then drive home but never done it the right way.

UT isnt concerned at all about this game Saturday. Hoping to at least have a chance late- Just give us some hope going into the 4th- and see what happens. Avoid the big errors that have plagued us this year, dont give UT the ball back with 2:40 left in the 1st half so they can score and then get the ball back after the half, make an effing chip shot field goal... I mean lets have a clean game.

My cousin, a long time HS School soccer coach has his team in the state finals this weekend (ending cake eater LexCath's 26 game win streak), for the second time in as many years. His teams have won nearly everything, individual honors, club trophies, but never a state title. Think he's been wanting to retire for a while- just wanted to try and go out on top.

Big Oscar's numbers from last year are going to be tough for him to replicate- but the team around him will hopefully be a little more well-rounded. He's going to have a target on his back from day 1, and will be interesting to see how his game translates.

The Tourist Sauce episode that came out last night was fantastic.

Sorry to clog the thread but wondering if someone would care to share the link or general direction to the coveted Wynn gummies. TIA

* Just realized next Saturday is the last daylight savings time in our lifetime, most likely. Mixed feelings tbh. Doesn't bother me that we change the clocks and I enjoy that extry hour of outdoor activity in the summer more than the bleakness of life winter. It's whatever though.

* Hit up Neyland in '10 when both programs were scraping and clawing to get to .500. Vol fan was still a wretch but subdued. Can't imagine how obnoxious they're going to be this weekend 🤯

Thought early on we could peacock out of that shithole but Joker's butthole puckered, we punted in UT territory and the rest was downhill like the full bourbon and coke I spilled all over the degenerate orange fan in front of me. #smallvictories

* Ball control + tempo...this team capable of that? We can't run every play down to :01 and hope to nickel & dime them to death. More possessions > when up against a high-powered offense and I feel like Scang's glasses are going to want to keep this a rock fight well after it's clear the only way to win is a shootout.

* Several of those fake Sprit Halloween costumes have brought a chuckle but like everything on the Interwebs, the gag has quickly played out.

* Downtown Louisville getting into the holiday spirit with a slasher on the loose at 4th Street Live. To quote the great Doc Holliday, "very cosmopolitain".

Yeah, shootings are worrisome but they're usually gang and drug related, and rarely random.

THAT is scary though.

Of course it could have happened anywhere too because it's so random.

-The increasingly frustrating part of the rising cost of fast food is that I can still make one hell of a home cooked meal for $30-$50.

-I will be banned from the Twitter if the Cats win Saturday night. I mean the receipts are endless out there for #vols twitter. Hate. Hate. HATE.

-K flag going up on the house after I mulch leaves at noon. Personal quirk: I can't put it out there with an unkempt lawn.

-Curious to see what happens to 12.5 come Saturday am when the sharps place their action.

-Kyle Tucker was cool on the BBMC twitter space last night. Seems like a really good dude in person. Has a sense of humor about lunatics like us. Of course Drummond kills it every week.

-9 year old little lady requested hibachi for her birthday dinner. Couple sapporos for Dad in order. The boy has never been to one, so I suspect he'll go nuts over the whole deal. Can't wait.

-Worth noting that the 2 throat slashing and the hammer claw to the head victims are expected to survive. So relax, folks.

-When I went down to Neyland as a student I showed up to get my tickets at the player family will call (Coleman Barnes FTW). The UK lady noticed I was only wearing a starched Oxford on a brisk day in Knoxville, and gave me a UK fleece to wear. It's still the nicest thing any UK official ever did for me.

-Cats 31, Vols 28. Stoops' magnum opus is nigh.

The media folk I know all like Tucker.

You have to remember with people like he and Jones - they’re dealing with complete idiots via social media all day long. Part of the job and all but I’m sure it wears thin and affects you.

- Any advice on hanging a large, heavy painting on exposed brick?

Use Hangman Z-Hangers.

here

Tap-Cons will work fine: drill into the mortar joint - not into the face of the brick. You can blow out the brick if it's an inside wall - the mortar joint is extremely easy to repair/conceal if the painting is ever moved.

I forgot to sign on at 9p and missed most of Tucker on BBMC last night. But the res was enjoyable. I agree that tmfh needs to figure out the record button.

No, they are generally dealing w/ people who know a helluva lot more about sports than they do and it irks them when they get challenged.

Outside of the "inside" info, they are generally clueless about x's/o's and the what nots. You can masquerade some of that by being a homer for whatever team you cover, but only to a point.

Kentucky loves it's homegrown "celebrities". Did you know Charles Manson went to Tates Creek HS for a semester? Awesome. Good for the state.

*The Whitmer/Dixon debate was pretty good tv. Not much to listen to, but not bad to look at.

*4th Street Slasher story is wild. Good thing we don't have subways to toss people in.

*Nice little Harry's/Waldo's Wednesday night. Had a couple beers, some sliders, and laid some $ on the horses while sitting at the bar. Finished up with a nightcap at Waldo's. As it is most of the time, we saw a few people we knew, sat down and had a couple. Also go to see the midget from Saturday night. Cool.

*I think it will take no more than 3 possessions to see how the game is going to go. Either "we" come out trying to win or come out trying not to get our doors blown off.

*I have to finish up writing a Senior message to my son. I'm finding it incredibly difficult to sum up my feelings in 3 to 4 sentences. <wipes tear from left eye>

*Food prices suck. I've gone back to cooking dishes that are great for leftover. Zatarains w/regular and smoked sausage, Chili, pastas...etc.

*Work is making my life miserable. All the stock we couldn't get during the summer started arriving about 3 weeks ago. We are rapidly running out of storage space. When I expressed my concerns, my VP said to, "figure it out and don't mention another building." Ummm, OK. Stack that shit up, I guess.
