* Levis is 1-0 on the year destroying the Heisman hype of an opposing QB. We stole Anthony Richardson's soul. AR-15 might not make the CFL now, and not just because of Canada's strict gun control policies.
Coming off a bye week to get healthy, I'm betting on our quarterback who walks around like this:
* On defense, I'm hoping Deone Walker has gotten his conditioning to the point where he can play a lot of snaps and be our war daddy tackle. We don't get many sacks but if we get constant penetration in the middle of the line, that should make it much more difficult for Hooker to play pitch and catch. Oxedine has been pedestrian this year, which is surprising. Wonder if he's truly recovered from injury.
With Jordan Wright and Alex Afari, we've got linebackers who can cover while still being versatile. Valentine was a liability last year against UT. He got absolutely abused (probably because he had to play every snap and give a huge cushion because we had literally no one else to put on the field). This year he's a legit asset. Keidron Smith is solid, too.
I think the key will be whether our offense can control the clock while still consistently putting up points. If the D is on the field too much or UT gets a big lead early, we will get boatraced.
* Scangarello seemed to adapt and simplify the offense against MSU. Hopefully with a bye week, he can jettison a lot of the NFL crap that is too complicated for college and figure out a way to focus on getting the tight ends involved in the passing game, do more play action off C Rod, and get an offensive rhythm going.
* The Lakers are 0-4. Wonder if Anthony Davis regrets hitching his wagon to Lebron.
