He was born in Africa? Immigrated here. Do you have to a particular skin color to be called that depending on which continent you resided on? So a black man born in Ukraine couldn't be called Eastern European? He would be African former ussr Ukrainian (for now) eastern euro ? Liberals with all their alphabet letter soup boxes to check are a migraine.

Don't want to speak for Syrus12 but I'm pretty sure he's making the point that Musk's family was pretty wealthy when he immigrated to the US. The way you worded it made it sound like he boot strapped his way from Nigeria to being the wealthiest man in the world. Kinda like how Jeff Bezos parents gave him $350k to start Amazon, Bill Gates' mom was on the board of IBM and Trumps dad gave him a small loan of one million.

Either way, he's got a tough task ahead of him. Still think he did it to ban the kid that was tracking all of his flights.

PTI(uko) and Chief Incel arguing about something neither understand is like watching Dunning and Kruger play the muffin game.

* Ate Ruth's Chris in Nashville last night. Most disappointing experience since nailing a Chinese girl. The guy next to us apparently eats there all the time and called the waiter over to ask if they had a new cook working that night or something, which I respected as a boss move.

* Things PTI knows more about than the people who have actually done it:

1. Parenting
2. Being a billionaire
3. Running a baseball team
4. Coal mining hygiene

I do respect his opinion on being the victim of an armed robbery and still moving to New Orleans, though.

* Musk immediately fired the existing Twitter executives (including the numbnuts general counsel who allegedly cried during an executive meeting after learning Musk was attempting to buy the company) and was photgraphed carrying a sink around HQ so the news could "sink" in. I respect the cut of his jib, if not his subtlety.

He's also released a statement (on Twitter no less) about his reasons for buying the company:

I feel like Musk is just bored and wants to live out of his dream of being a real life Ron Swanson.

How do you folks who love the platform feel about Musk taking over? Think he’ll make it better? I’m not talking about who he’ll let back on or anything. Just general user experience.
Meh, my experience is following writers in sports, politics, etc. They link to articles they like and I decide if I want to read them or not. Makes it easier not to search web sites. Beauty is you only need to follow a DeCoursey or a Tucker. They retweet each others stories. So, you don't have to follow both to know what's going on. I'm not sure the site is any more than that.

He probably won't change the fact that a tiny percentage drive most of the reactions/interactions. It will be interesting to see if they fix suppression whether the trending topics remain predominantly liberal or will it be more balanced.

If Elon Musk somehow manages to fail and tanks Twitter and it goes out of business he deserves a Mount Rushmore with only his face on it for helping better society, that would be a dream. Now if he fixes it up and makes it less shitty and actually a social media platform that’s not ruining society then that’s fine too, I guess.

I hop on Twitter maybe once, twice a year, not counting Tweets linked here. Just never been my thing.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that it will continue to be a dumpster fire and general indictment of humanity.

Hopefully he will bring some censorship to the platform and help shutdown toxic influencers that are plaguing our society.

The best thing I saw on Twitter this week was BBdk posting a tribute to DRAKEO THE RULER #RIP. It was so appropriate.

-Florida, Ole Miss and now UT are all nationally relevant games, maybe even the game of the week in some instances. Pretty amazing. Kentucky Football is a brand now, man. Think about that UGA game in a few weeks *IF* UK somehow got it done tomorrow night...

-That Schlarman speech. Shew. I love watching Stoops' non-reaction of just standing there. Think we all know what's going through his head... just an amazing moment. Cancer sucks. Those two were something else together. You could see it.

-Is there a signature Cawood Ledford call for the gridiron Cats?

-Kentucky and Tennessee have been playing since 1893. Amazing.

-No local media could get a word from MITCH about the Beer Barrel this week? UT's been chirping away about it, clearly putting some pressure on UK... it's starting to become a bad look IMO. Just drop "Beer" and let's go. FFS.

-Basilio Show was discussing whether or not Heupel will "step on Stoops' throat" if given the chance. They all agreed he would. *IF* that were to happen, it would almost be worth it for the ramifications down the road with our ornery bastard.

Note: I had forgotten Spurrier's vendetta against Bill Curry for not retaining the OBC on his first Georgia Tech staff. That worked out well.

* Was doing laundry and my Samsung wash started spitting out an absolute banger. Not sure who's producing their new junts these days, but kudos to whoever that may be.

* Okay guys, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

I'm sitting at my house yesterday minding my own business, when a package arrives via the nice man with the USPS. Turns out it is LITERALLY A CHOCOLATE PENIS. Oh, and on top of that, an assortment of chocolate assholes.

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR, people. Disgraced in front of my family once again. I will get to the bottom of this and when I find out who the culprit is, there WILL be retribution.

:mad::mad::mad::mad:

* The thing about Josh Heupel is that he is incredibly obese. People forget that.

* My old yoga buddy just moved up to UT recently and took a position as like 2nd/3rd in charge in their athletics department. Didn't realize she had that kind of swag, but I remember her saying her goal was to be the first woman AD in the SEC. May just happen.

* Just because:

Kinda curious what ever happened to Stacy. Now that she's a grown ass woman, I'm sure she's a baddie/hottie/etc in her own right.

* Leonard’s Losers likes the Cats this weekend, and it’s hard to argue with his folksy shenanigans and wordsy southern charm.

Establish the run. Dominate time of possession to keep Hooker off the field. Take advantage of their depleted secondary. Lots of pressure on the QB. Cayts by 7.

- Have never been a “don’t get your hopes up” guy in sports. I’m going to be equally pissed if we lose whether I prep myself or not. I’m not bold enough to pick a dub but this team barely lost to Ole Miss and was completely hamstrung against a now-ranked SC team. We’re pretty damn good and our orneryass coach loves coming in as a dog. Dude’s frothing at the mouth right now.

- As most of us, I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t a Kentucky fan. First memories include Dad bitching about Joe Hall, Cawood saying Kenny “Sky” Walker, Harden’s halfcourter against LSU, watching the Hall of Fame Bowl against Wisconsin on an old bunny-eared TV with shitty reception. I don’t think I even knew Kentucky had a football team before that game.

First time to Rupp was ‘84 or ‘85 against Georgia. I still have a pennant from that game. Recall a subsequent trip being in the backseat on the way down and Dad and my Uncle Mack talking about how Sutton was probably going to get fired. I couldn’t grasp why but would later explore the scandal in a research project speech to my grade school class. Most kids took a deep dive into their favorite animals. I talked about UCLA setting up Chris Mills.

First trip to Commonwealth came against Akron after a morning soccer game in ‘86 or maybe ‘87. Dad and I got matching t-shirts. I took over Dad’s in high school- just an outstanding buttery soft 80s style tee with the then brand new dick tongue Wildcat logo. I’ve been searching for that shirt for 25 years as I’m sure it would still fit. Mom swears she didn’t give it away. Maybe I left it somewhere.

I feel I really came of age as a Kentucky fan in ‘90-‘91. From then on, I’d say my fandom had stayed on a relatively straight line. I don’t know more or care more about the team since then. I don’t know or care less either.

Being a sports fan is a remarkable thing. It immediately identifies you as loyal and a romantic, someone who wants to be a part of something bigger than oneself. I can specifically credit Kentucky sports to many of my greatest friendships and my top bonding experience with my dad.

I feel like I don’t know a damn thing about who Tom Brady really is. He seems ok. I respect how he went from 6th round to GOAT. I’ve never disliked him but I don’t find him all that likable either. He’s not Peyton Manning. His quack best friend and their training philosophies/business are kind of weird.

But it seems like he finally pushed it too far this year. Frustrating season. Losing his wife.

Will always appreciate how Elway went out on top.

No doubt. I was just baiting because someone would get offended on the white guy from Africa thing. Honestly don't know any billionaires not born on 3rd base or rose to bloody power in communists countries.

Reactions: 80 Proof
I think you could follow media timelines on Tom Brady this year and figure out either he lied about playing/retiring or the guy got tired of Giselle and got caught.

Either way it’s more proof that marriage, while seeming right/great in the moment, is the ultimate test in life.

I just couldn't help myself and was forced to look up the Wisconsin Volleyball team leaks on Twitter. Looks like i'll have to say more Hell Marys after my next confession.

Has there ever been a sports team that enjoyed being naked around each other more?

Great boobaly goobaly. o_O

Yeah that’s the beauty of regularly visiting this gal pal in Chicago, doesn’t want to get married, doesn’t want kids, slays it in marketing, loves UK/sports and can kick my ass in golf.

That being said…I am curious what’s going on this time as she seems HUBER giddy to see me, asked me to come up this specific weekend, woke up and texted me, “I get to see you today!!!”

I’m cool with whatever though.

~ Marriage isn't a nightmare for everyone, but it's definitely not for everyone. Picking your partner is the easiest part (in the grand scheme), making it work is hella difficult. Adding children and their difficulties as a dynamic amplify it. Krazy, the saint the man is, is doing the Lord's work for a gaggle of kids that aren't even his. Good on him.

~ I've been listening to a ton of new "Rock" lately. I mentioned Turbowolf last Friday and, mercy, that bass tone and guitar work are prettay, prettay good. I've enjoyed moving away from some of my metal and folk tendencies.

~ Screen porch nearly complete, pantry reno I've been working on should finish up tomorrow morning. Just need to get the old lady to rubber stamp a new bathroom vanity to replace our bird feeder in the guest half bath and I'll have everything done prior to ball surgery in a few weeks. Stoked.

~ UK vs. UT is strength on strength. They stop the run well and we run it exceptionally well. They are top 3 in the nation in total Offense on the back of their passing game but we don't give up much there. Need to break open a few big plays in the air and get Hooker to turn it over a few times. Just don't take an early haymaker and let Stoops work his magic. Cats 31 Volunteers 28. Ruffalo kicks the game winner to get back into Brady's good graces.

Not sure what provoked this, but my response was to WCC questioning what does anyone really know about Tom Brady.

I wasn’t really talking about me, although my marriage has hit boundaries neither of us ever thought we’d deal with and stay with someone, but it is extremely stressful and we barely have a relationship right now due to our choices in the last 2 years.

But we’ll get through it and I’m sure of that, or she’ll kill me, either way I won’t make it out this world alive. 😁

First UK memory - pulling for UofL against UK in the original Dream Game (o_O)

First memory as a UK fan - 1984 Final Four vs. Georgetown ( ); also first UK tears.

Other UK basketball tears - 1986 LSU; 1988 Villanova; 1992 Duke; 1993 Michigan; 1997 Arizona; 2015 Wisconsin

What sad sack of shit invented “malted milk balls”?

I always associated Whoppers and Milk Duds together as a youth. Wouldn’t even glance at them. Which is sort of a shame because Milk Duds are solid. Those malted balls of milk are just putrid.
Ever so often you'd get one that was just awful, kinda like a random Honey Comb that was all crusted up and tasted like shit.

New music has to find me at this age.

Lil Lass #1 wanted to listen to Taylor Swift’s Midnights last Friday when I picked her up from school.

Sure thing. First song that comes on shuffle play from the album is “Vigilante Sh!t” and Swift is talking about taking a knife to her ex lover or something along those lines.

WHOA THERE, KIDS. LETS FIRE BACK UP THE KIDZ BOP.

The Maxey/Quick/Richards squad was dialed in and playing at a high level before the tournament. It’s a shame we didn’t get to see anymore of that team.

Wonder which call tonight we get absolutely screwed on. Maybe a targeting, PI, face mask, or all of the above . The possibilities are endless, really.

Malted milk balls are awful. I’m afraid I’d have to immediately run to the dentist if I tried eating Milk Duds now.
