Today's slate of games is like watching an entire round of Regional Finals at one site back-to-back-to-back-to-back...

One could make the case that SEC Tournament fans will be watching live the greatest single day of college hoops at one site in the sports' history...Likely two one seeds, a couple of two seeds, a couple of three seeds...Incredible...

Maybe in the heyday of the ACC or Big East there were as many as two games with teams ranked Top 15 or so, and even an occasional 1 v. 2 maybe. But four games in a row with teams ranked as high as Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri and Ole Miss? It can't have happened before.

In terms of AP ranked teams, today's SEC quarters includes:
#3 Auburn
#4 Florida
#5 Alabama
#8 Tennessee
#15 Kentucky
#21 Missouri

The 2011 Big East quarters included:
#3 Pittsburgh
#4 Notre Dame
#11 Syracuse
#14 Louisville
#17 St. John's
#21 UConn
#25 Cincinnati

It’s a fair statement. Can you name another instance ever where one could see four top 10 teams and six ranked teams at one site in one day?
No - my brain/recall isn't that good and I don't want to waste time trying to go back to research it. But every year, the first two days of the NCAA tournament rival it for excitement for sure.

The 2011 BE tourney I noted above actually had 7 ranked teams at one site in one day. Not 4 top-10 teams .... but 4 top-14 teams. So not really that far off what we'll see today in Nashville.

You need to work on your reading skills. The OP’s criteria was “at one site.” The first two days of the NCAA tournament ain’t all played at the same site.

Thanks for the pointer. I was going by the thread title primarily.

The first 2 days of the NCAA tourney are great, but they don't have ranked on ranked games for the most part unless you happen to get some 8/9 or 7/10 matchups that work out that way. All the top teams are playing mid majors you don't get matchups like you have today.

Agreed, an incredible slate of games to day. Louisville is in the ACC not Big East.
