I did have a buddy from SMU in Egypt that his girl broke up with him as she was headed out on vacation. She forgot something and came back in while he was getting after it with porn and she said it was cheating 😂. Ummm okay, you’re never going to get a guy that doesn’t watch porn toots.

Way back many years ago, when I was dating a stripper, she had a fellow stripper friend that lived in Louisville but came to Lexington every Thursday through Saturday. Apparently she was compensated well. Anyway, she would stay with us sometimes. So one day I had the place to myself, popped in a porno, and was getting “prepared” when the friend walked in the door. She asked me if I would like a hand with that but I wussed out, said no. Young, dumb, and faithful.....man, that was dumber than betting a bunch internet dudes that Stoops would win a Natty before Cal.

WTF is going on in here tonight? Some people should learn to hold back some info, IMO.

Too bad the Cubs spotted the Braves 6 in the first, but we’re half way back. Just make it a game by the 8th please.

After winning in 2016 we looked set for a solid run, and I don’t know why we failed so miserably ever since.

Save the cub loser nonsense because that team was stacked, and we are absolutely horrible at baseball right now!

Be careful saying “we” around here unless it is reference to UK or the Reds. Unless you are @legalbeagle123 and he is talking about those dirty St. Louis Cardinals

- So we're getting CJ Fredrick from Iowa, apparently.

- Been in Chicago the last month relaxing, eating great food, and chilling with the family. Much needed reset from the five month party mode I've been in and gear up for getting back to work.

- Flying to San Antonio tomorrow to consult on a race for a couple weeks. The vacation is officially over.

- Shark Tank marathons on Sundays are perfect.

Step 1. Make sure the bluetooth speaker downstairs in the kitchen is off.
Step 2. Turn off the bluetooth on your phone.


Those 2 things will help save you some awkward conversations. 😒

-Great weekend.

-Took the best team in the league to the wire on Friday and should've won. Sunday run ruled an undefeated team so 3rd inning got to play the youngins in the infield(salt in the wound😉). 40proof went ham on the mound, which was an absolute blast to watch. He's already a problem, next year is going to be a beast when he really figures the game out. Nice that our first win was against some neighborhood friends. Got the lineup where we want it now, bout to reel off several in a row.

-Hit the creek up Saturday with a good buddy and absolutely smoked em. Several nice 12-18" rainbows. Perfect weather. Not too crowded, but busted a big one in front of group of camp grounders, so that was a nice little treat. Also, stalked and finally got one on the surface(elk hair caddis) which is a first down there. Mostly Euro though, which is crazy effective.

-Grilled out last night. 1st time in... nearly a year since I have fired up the BGE. 😳

-Since we were a man down the last year, while #2 was in the oven, our wine stock pile has gotten out of hand. We're committed to resolving that issue though.

-Derby just crept right up. Going to do my annual swing into a men's store and kindly ask them to rush a coat that I know SAE will hate.

-Looks like mid 70's next week. Just in time.

-Cycling season is well under way. The young stars are showing out. Old guard is firmly on the clock. Hoping Sagan moves over to Quick Step to finish out his career, which sounds really odd, as he was just a young badass.

-So Louisville just had mini Thunders all over the city. 🤣 They're running the marathon over 4 days, mostly in Indiana, and 50 people per 15 minutes? 🤣🤣But just a few days later 70k people will crowd into CHD. Safe to say the Derby City hasn't handled the last 13 months well. I did hear BTown Rd was hopping this weekend. Good for them. Join the rest of the normal world.

-Stoops, JFC. Get after it, buddy.

-Tailgate area got a big upgrade over the missed season. Should be ready to go this fall. Lots of outdoor area to hang out now.

-Let's see it, Cal. Give us a reason to get giddy and evan a little cocky going into next season. I can't take another year of, "we're going to lose some games early but we'll have it figured out by March." I want to bust Duke out of the gate and not look back.

-Red Legs!

If true regarding Cal, he is changing.

He normally would bring the player in so they could watch him tear up the scholarship.

If Jackson comes back, he’s likely an all American, SEC POY, and a guaranteed lottery pick on a great team. I feel very confident about that.

It makes sense to stay in the draft and be a mid to late 1st rounder, but a “normal” coach would at least put that sales pitch out there and make the kid give it some really hard consideration.

And Cal may not realize this, but either choice really IS keeping his best interests in mind.

-crittenden in midway, anth. Do it. Stuart mercer if ya wanna stay in the hood. I like logan's/howard and miller for the basics...but crit and mercer have superior taste/offerings.

-last of the plants in this weekend/cleaned gutters. Stopped into michlers Saturday...peeped a few summer sweet shrubs(native/locally grown/birds and bees like em). gonna pull the trigger. That's next weekends work.

-when did vinyl plank flooring become expensive? Double what I expected.

-uk football recruiting. Hot damn.

-3 hrs of tennis yesterday+week of heavy yard work reminds me of my age/mileage. I need yoga or something.

-made halibut with a mediterranean sauce Saturday. Cauliflower/raisins/shallot/madera/orange etc. Outstanding...glad to get out of my "box" kitchen wise.

So Steve Czaban, who I know several on this thread listen to, visited Kentucky this weekend for distillery tours and stayed in downtown Louisville was aghast on his podcast at how dead the Downtown was. " "Why are these restaurants boarded up? Where is everyone? Why are they having and air show and fireworks with no people?" before adding " Well I'm sure they have a democrat as Mayor"

Overall a raving review on how vibrant Downtown Louisville is from an out of towner from DC.

Stealthily conducting an outdoor airshow is the height of stupidity.

At this point it's obvious they just reach in a bag and grab arbitrary parameters and work off feelings, not science. But people go along with it and vehemently defend it, so get used to it I guess.

- Black Rabbit is a new wanna-be speakeasy worth checking out. Had a couple maple ghost pepper old fashioneds that'll blow your skirt up. Local folks if you like Jacks/Equus, you'll dig this spot.

- Spent some time over the weekend trying to educate myself on crypto. Every site I read talked about how easy it was to invest in...

...then listed about 17 steps you had to take, ways to avoid being hacked, ways to avoid others knowing your identity, how long it takes to transfer coin to cash, etc, etc. etc.

After about an hour of digging and a small migraine, realized I'm going to accept whatever monetary loss comes from this fiscal avenue and stick to ticker symbols.

- Can't make every home game but feel obligated to throw down on season tickets because of the job Stoops, Marrow & co. are doing.

Someone tell him it was solely the responsibility of covid? Boarding up or busting out windows prevents covid. Because that's the company line. Certainly not 6 months of rioting and protesting coupled with a police department scared of it's own shadow. That had very little to do with it.

Spent a few days in Gatlinburg to take the kids to Dollywood and the Aquarium and there was a Pentecostal Holiness convention in Gatlinburg and a Hot Rod show in Pigeon Forge. Needless to say they got the full Gatlinburg experience.

We got there Thursday and Sevier County's mask mandate at midnight and I'm not sure I saw more than a dozen masks on Friday/Saturday. We took our masks to dinner out of habit and quickly realized they wouldn't be needed.

I mean, I get it. But they're also running a massive vaccination clinic at the stadium, so inviting 30,000 plebs, would've really soured my 5 month old's time and probably interfered with the clinic. Plus, we've seen outdoor gatherings like Thunder and Marathon are covid super spreader issues, but not Derby, but certainly at Keeneland. With that kind of scientific information we needed to make sure we only invited the people that pay for all the nice stuff because of science and money.

I have no idea what it it was like. I was at the Creek slaying trout(actually CnR).
