Reading the espn article about past vacated final 4's it dawned on me that we played 3 teams in the final 4 that had their appearances vacated (93 Michigan, 96 UMASS and 97 Minnesota) while being coached by Rick Pitino. All of his Final 4's in the 90's. Ironic.

^Posed the scenario about what the outrage would be if this were a female sport and these were underage girl recruits that were basically coerced by an assistant coach into having organized sex. The gender in the situation shouldnt matter to the NCAA (or human beings). Now we are basically talking about representatives from the University of Louisville not only arranging sex for recruits (underage recruits and prostitutes), but pushing them back into doing it after they said they didnt want to.

How they have avoided criminal charges or a civil suit- who knows. They really need to consider this a blessing that it could be over with, and move TF on. Surely they have PR people that can see the writing on the wall, why on earth would you want this to drag out even further and continue to attract attention. Surely they wont take it to court after the appeal is denied where they really open themselves up for a shitstorm when people may have to start telling the full truth.

Wait, you mean what if, like, the UofL women's tennis team had a hot young assistant coach that hired male prostitutes?

Yeah. We're onto something here now. Hashtag boing.

Crawford's position that the University should accept the ruling and move on with "grace and fortitude" is absolutely correct, but rings a bit hollow for me if Pitino is not dismissed in the process.

If you look at his body of work, he has absolutely done more damage to Louisville Basketball than good. That's really the underlying theme of Crawford's column IMO. His sordid affair and this scandal are now a huge part of the program's DNA. Nothing he's achieved (vacated or not) is worth that. The guy should absolutely be fired. Like, today.

Looks like Amazon thought more highly of Whole Foods than some retail experts in here

EBT WHOLE FOODS ON YO DOOR STEP!!!

^thats a conspiracy and a half, imo.

At least UL wasn't systematically touching young boys like Penn State!

I want UNC to go down too, but they aren't not UL. Penn State is not UL. Kansas, whoever, etc. People care a lot about those schools, and they are important, but nobody gives a f about UL and that's why NCAA humiliated them yesterday.

After thinking about this more...the only right thing to do is to fire Pitino. Jurich survives...barely. But Pitino has to go. He was at the head of a huge scandal that has tarnished the university. And we're not talking about Karen Sypher.

Don't really see any other option. And wouldn't be shocked if he is fired in the next few months. Because if he isn't fired, then Jurich has to go to, which will be the ultimatum from the Governor/Board. And Jurich isn't going anywhere.

Why should Jurich survive anything? He's the biggest POS in the entire POS organization.

Thinking Friday December 29th, 2017 will be the last time Rick Pitino will set foot in Rupp Arena.

Jurich is likely behind all this and probably has filtered money to McGee to fund it and to keep quiet. He certainly needs to go as well for all the other repugnant shit that has gone on on his watch in UL athletics.

He shouldn't survive, but he will. He's almost too big to fire...which is the root of the problem anyway...but it will be him or Pitino, and he sure as hell isn't going to resign.

The problem for Louisville is Jurich isn't going to be pushed around or told what to do by anyone else in that organization. Unless he decides he wants to fire Pitino, and that's the thing to do, they've got to go through Jurich, to get to Rick.

They'll have to go to Jurich and say "It's Rick or it's both of you." Which they could, but that's uncharted waters for them. Jurich has stuck around so long because he owns this town, and he owns Floyd Street. I have a hard time seeing him taking marching orders from anyone down there.

Contract buyouts be damned, there is documented gross malfeasance on the part of Pitino (the scandal) and Jurich (the Foundation).

IF U of L wants, it has plenty of leverage to get rid of those two clowns, or at worst, negotiate a drastically reduced buyout.

I would wage a bet that both are gone by this point next year. No one in the admin side is going to make it through that fallout from the Foundation audit. Hell, Ramsey will likely end up in jail. Public opinion is going to drive that. Pitino won't stick around under another AD. They all have a ton of power but they aren't going weather this. Just too many holes in the dam and its unraveling to a point where folks are already starting to point fingers at each other.

- DeCourcy hammered Louisville- claims they got off way too easy.

- Gladwell's podcast is back. Interesting look at golf in Southern California and also in Corporate America.

Holly Sonders looking decent today.

I'd love to watch her on T8, and she's definitely hot, but not a fan of her bimbo/trash look while strategically prancing and posing on a Major Golf telecast, jmo. Her outfit yesterday was ridiculous for the environment. [eyeroll]

Maybe it can be a teaching moment for all the fathers Sunday.
