I meant Team Tiger in terms of realizing that him likely being hooked on painkillers isn't all his fault. It's sickening how hard the medical community has pushed that garbage over the last 10-15 years. Sickening.

This stuff happens way too often. Person goes in for surgery, gets prescribed heroin, then gets hooked. Most people never should have been given that crap in the first place, and then they turn into a junkie. Awful.

$1 beer night got expensive last night.

I go to have a couple brews and sit in the sunshine and ended up at Against the Grain with Suter and his awesome Braves jersey handling brisket and a couple double IPAs until around 11 PM.

My 88 year old grandmother is addicted to lortabs and we/she just found this out when a neighbor kid that she pays to mow the grass stole the rest of her prescription to sell to his buddies and take. She didn't have them for a few days and we/she thought she was dying ---> sweats, tightness in chest, shitting all over herself, nausea, and of course extreme pain. She was and still is an emotional wreck. It was just withdrawals. She takes them once every 4-6 hours for her chronic back issues and has for the last 7/8 years. Just a horrible situation, I feel awful for her as she thinks she's done something wrong.

I don't know what can be done or how things like this can be avoided but nobody of any age should ever have to deal with that kind of situation. The neighbor kids mother caught him with them and said he and all his buddies are hooked on them as freshman in high school. One of them had a dislocated elbow last year in football and it all started from there.

If only there was some sort of pain relief that was effective in a lot (not all) of cases and not nearly as physically addictive. Man that would be a wonder substance.

There was an Outside the Lines story this weekend about former tackle Eugene Monroe, and his quest to get the NFL to recognize the benefits of medical marijuana. They played an interview with Roger Goodell, who slammed the door shut on that idea. His reasoning, of course, was that marijuana....

- was addictive
- smoke is bad for your lungs

You can't make this s*** up.

For my money, Alisha Klass was the best porn star of all time.

Hot in a girl next door sort of way, enthusiastic, no plastic surgery, down for whatever. The works, really.

- Hospice is incredible. Lots of personal experience with it as well. Getting people to accept hospice is very, very difficult.

SAE, without knowing your particulars, you all had your family members best interests and her wishes in your mind when you made your decision to pursue hospice.

The main point is that a lot of families don't ever have those conversations so they don't know each other's wishes. Especially when emergencies or unexpected traumas, strokes, etc happen. Most people just want to be let go in peace, but if it's never discussed the amount of guilt on a family can be overwhelming.

- Swimmer articulated things very well, no need to expound.

No worse feeling for everyone involved than a completely unnecessary code/compressions on an elderly terminal patient followed by their eventual tracheostomy, PEG tube, and shipped off to a vent farm to live what barely constititutes a life.

I've never had medical grade marijuana, but I get paranoid af when I smoke. Never could overcome it. Would much rather be a smoker than drinker.

That said, 4 hours till happy hour!

Kathy Griffin takes a picture with a severed Trump head and gets all kinds of attention. Trump types covfefe and everyone forgets about Kathy Griffin.

Dude gets it.

Some people are of the opinion that marijuana exposes you to those thoughts because they are your insecurities and possibly what you focuses should be, whereas alcohol just covers those thoughts and pushes them to the back of your mind.

I lost my 53-year old Dad to a brain tumor that was the result of an aggressive, soft-tissue sarcoma that had ravaged other parts of his body for 3 years. That sarcoma typically doesn't spread to the brain and not until he had a seizure was any type of imaging of his brain done and by that time it was really too late. My Dad had made peace with the disease and that his life was ending and was spending the last weeks making his final goodbyes to family and friends. Hospice had been contacted and he wanted to die at home.
My stepmother was having none of it. The three of us went to Brown Cancer and the staff there had the following scenarios, 1.) do nothing and have 0-3 months to live, 2.) do radiation and maybe extend it to 3-6 months, 3.) remove tumor and follow up with radiation and have maybe 9-12months but a significant chance of death during surgery, stroke, being a vegetable but the doctor added if all went well 9-12 months was considered success. My stepmother latched onto that like a life preserver and what Dad wanted(and I wanted whatever he wanted) went out the window. He had the surgery, couldn't speak after and died a week later.

I figure it's going to take responsible, tax paying citizens being proponents for it to change the attitudes around here.

And that's who buying it. Rich white people. The whole thing is totally absurd. It starts with the law. Obama had a chance to reschedule, he actually did the damn opposite, upheld it's schedule 1 status while actually downgrading coke and stuff? Don't quote me on that last part, but I believe other more harmful drugs than MJ were knocked down while weed was upheld as highly addictive and blalblalb. And Trump won't touch it either...though he should, because that'd be a brilliant strategy and man political buffoons would be so confused as to how/why a republican did that. But he won't. I'm sure he's heavily invested in the medical world.

So my insecurities are that someone is watching me in an empty room? Shit... better hit the sauce.

Hadn't smoked in years until we were on vacation in Mexico 3 summers ago. My buddy and I scored some next to a taco stand in "The Village". Laughed my ass off on the beach that night until
I fell asleep and every single song I was playing via Spotify Marcus been so fng choice I would've raked as a full time DJ. I'd do it again.

Don't think the quality of the weed changes the paranoia that much. When I lived in Spokane I was dealing with some serious anxiety from a sudden death in the family that manifested itself as hypochondria that I hadn't had before and haven't had since.

Went to the legal weed emporium and grabbed two chocolate edibles.

First night I ate one and within an hour I was laying in bed where my legs and arms below the knees and elbows turned into waterfalls and I drifted off to a peaceful sleep sinking deeper into the bed.

Second night I ate one and waited for almost two hours before it kicked in (thankfully, knowing not to take more) and I laid in bed comparing both sides of my rib cage until I determined one side had a fist sized hole in it and that I was probably going to die at an early age.

:baseball:Cats lead 3-0. Looks like a great day out there.:baseball:

Meh. I prefer my BIG TIME softball tournaments. Only rule is "winner takes it all, loser takes the fall".

Has anyone ever actually "thumped" a Bible before? I don't understand the utility of such a move. I can understand reading it, but I'm not entirely sure why a Bible enthusiast would flick it.

Kyle Tucker's SEC Country pod is tremendous.

Does he talk about his kids? Or the joys of fatherhood? Or how Kentucky fans should feel about Kentucky sports teams? Or the environment?

Dude's good when he sticks to the issues but he weaves out of his lane more than Tiger Woods at 3 a.m. #topical

I've seen batshit preachers rap their knuckles on a bible multiple times outside of the UK Student Center.

I get that baseball has multiple lineups because of pitching and single elimination doesn't work but why does the SEC tournament have to look like this?

Can't hear you, at a 9 hour long swim meet filled with screaming kids and loud speakers
I'm pretty sure my (collegiate figure skater/coach) wife, (retired professional ice show figure skater) sister-in-law, and (Skate Canada - Ontario region bigwig) mother-in-law are plotting to make my daughter the next Tara Lapinksi. It will be very convenient since the rink is in Sharonville and proper skates and attire is very cheap. So that will be cool and fun.

Nothing you said in this post is true. #fakepost

You know what's worse than being a parent at a 9 hour (sometimes 12 or 13) swim meet? Being a coach at one of those swim meets. At least when you're a parent you only have to watch the 4 or 5 times your kid swims.
