When your 86 year old grandfather who has battled cancer and a stroke this year looks at you on Christmas Eve, not your dad, uncle, brother or sister and says, "I want you to say the blessing tonight."

I mean, heavy stuff, man, heavy stuff.

Merry Christmas!

I hope you recited my last post when you did it.

I really really hope that happened.

I don't know many people who take their family name more seriously than Killa (or who do such a fantastic job of carrying it on so proudly). That's awesome, and quite an honor coming from such an esteemed patriarch. [thumb2][thumb2]

To this day I am amazed how much he transformed his image after he left Wham and during the Faith album. Even as a kid I thought something was off with him and that other guy in Wham. After the I Want Your Sex video I thought that guy was getting any woman he wanted.

Cal's podcast with his family is pretty good. Pretty much an hour of his family busting his balls.

-Great time with the family all weekend. Flat exhausted today though.

-For you lou peeps that workout or spin. Cyclebar is really nice. Highly suggest. I think we're getting one in that new mall. Great change of pace.

-Little man had it all figured out by the end of yesterday. Next year should be a blast.

-2.5 car loads of crap. Think the adults seem to all agree exchanging gits is pretty much done. Thankfully. Was nice loading up on scotch though. Last year got me until Summer.

Christmas might be the only day people do Facebook right. Well wishes, family pics, some silliness... welcome change of pace.

3ft snow drifts and near-zero windchills here in Idaho. All I need is some brown water and basketball and this would be perfect, amirite?

Happy Boxing Day, Gyero

New York delivered, again. Glad to be home though. 4 days there is about all my wallet can handle.

We did a fair bit of shopping at some of my wife's regular stops, which is a nightmare for me but whatever. Stayed in Chelsea and spent most of the time outside of the fray. More focus on eating a ton of food and drinking a bunch of wine.

Hamilton was really good. Probably my wife's favorite time of her entire life. She knows one of the understudies that graduated from Alabama and she had been pretty amped up about seeing it for months. She definitely had legit tears a few times, even after the show.

Brought back some superbug from the trip and spent yesterday puking and sleeping for most of the day. Presumably something from Newark. But we did get into and out of NY at the holidays, connecting through Atlanta, without a single delay. A true miracle.

Gift alert: I got a KyforKy ice cube tray that makes cubes in the shape of the state of Kentucky, and one of those copper skillets that are on late night info-mercials. Both bomb ass gifts.

Alos, really pissed off college football is on for the next 12 hours. Goddamnittohellmother****erssonofabitch
Enjoy watching 3 bowl games of which none of the teams as of yet have a winning record. One team could actually win and still have a losing record.

I was actually talking about wanting to go to Yellowstone in the winter sometime, -70 degrees and all.

I've been trying to get my family to quit exchanging gifts for a couple of years now. Figured it'd save everyone from just exchanging $25 gift cards, but I'm the only one with kids so they think I'm just being an asshole.

Always kind of depressing once Christmas is over. Wife is a total psycho and took the tree down yesterday afternoon. I didn't put my outside lights up this year and combine that with the 70 DEGREE TEMPS and it really doesn't seem like the day after xmas. Sitting at my desk and debating just going home and watching exhibition football the rest of the day to get me back in the spirit.

Moms husband got me an echo dot - it's pretty cool but all I have really done with it so far is play music and give me the weather. What else should it do?

It's actually fun in its own way. We always go to Jackson and see the Tetons (lol titties), but the pass was intermittently closed my whole stay. We usually just drive around, look at the elk heard, head to the park entrance, get out of the car and take a few pictures, then beg for the sweet release of death as moderate frostbite sets in.

Yeah I read up on it and the downside besides the cold seems to be "well, you may not be able to get in, and if you do get in you may not be able to get out" which can create scheduling issues.

-Learn Gambol and sitting at work bored watching football. Don't really care who it is.

-Both families discussed some intriguing vacations over the next 2 years. U.P. on one side for fishing and anywhere but the Caribbean on the other so we can get the MCFs knocked up ASAP.

-We use Alexa with the TP link lights and outlets, as a timer, to reorder common amazon orders and mostly to play music or pre/post game shows.

This is how one goes bankrupt these days.

Play Jeopardy, read audiobooks out loud from your Amazon Kindle, read Wikipedia articles out loud, give you cooking recipes, and add things to your shopping list and email them to you when it's time to go to the store. Still working on porn commands.

If you're into Vegas 'polls' Cats are still currently 3rd to win the title (+550), behind only Duke (+300) and UCLA (false, +450)

...on my book, at least.

-Kind of a bummer Holiday for me, as the wife couldn't make it with me for the first time b/c of some family circumstances -- wasn't quite the same. Love my time away, but during the holidays isn't really ideal. :(

On the flip side, I got to spend a little extra time w/ the family & relax this year for once, which was nice -- heading down early on NYE & stay the night instead of the usual down & back w/ quick & rushed stops all over on Xmas Day.

As a result, Dad got rich this weekend, thanks in large part to Wii Mario Kart & Tennis with small shout out to my Labyrinth marble game gift. Hammered the Uncle & Brother for $600+ over a 2 day stretch. Add the usual Christmas rake, and it was a very lucrative trip to Madisonville for me. [cheers] Makes the midnight drive home the WK a little less awful, at least.

Always envy those families who drink during the holidays, but we just never have. Guess we make up for it with heavy gambol & gaming.

-RIP George Michael, one of the goats to me, pretty much worship the entire Wham/Solo catologue. What a shame. #LastChristmas -- 2016, man. Damn.

-Hope GYERO had a great Christmas, Go Redhawks!
