Lass got a new Cold Brew thingy yesterday in the mail.

I'm mostly espresso, but I drink an iced coffee 3-4x per week, year round.

-If I want a cold Starbucks drink I go green tea/lemonade shake up thing. Not really interested in cold coffee.

-STK they're playing mostly old school hip hop and pop dance music. Not like Deadmau5 is on the tables. That atmosphere is fun as hell. Even weirdos like MCF love it. I don't think it works in that location in Louisville, Ky but whatever. JDub, I can't stress enough how big of a douche that guy is.

-"Hey Anth, why are you up at 11:45p watching a Dual Survivor rerun?" [eyeroll]

-Vegas twice in a year? :cool2:

The lassies need to show my wife a good time up there, to improve my future prospects. Last time, she was able to sit at the pool all day of which I had zero interest -- no clue what she's going to do all day this time with it being mid-December, but need to figure out something so dad is free to sportsbook/gambol all day long unimpeded.

Beyond jacked to finally be there during CBB Season.

* I'll drink a bottled Starbucks frap every now and then. I'm not mad at iced coffee.

* I can't imagine I'd want booming bass & dope beats while enjoying my steak.

* Jessa Rhodes is my part time gf despite her awful tats.

<--- Likes Cricket.

* There is a canoe/kayak joint about half a mile from my house that rents fishing kayaks. May give it a shot in a few weeks. One trip drops you off at Caesar Creek Lake. That's a good half a day drift back to Loveland.

* Today's Willy's office soundtrack is provided by The Police.

* Rob fall off a ladder again?

* So much of this season depends on Barker. We have real offensive coordinators, its up to him to execute the plan. I want to trust him, but I can't yet.

* I have zero worries about basketball recruiting. Cal has taken a little of the fun out of the offseason for me.

* Enjoy the day, boys and girls. We deserve it.

The Beaver Dam rest stop in the median has to be one of the most profitable places of it's kind on earth.

If they'd just kick that shitty Arby's out and replace it with something else...they really hit a home run getting to be that tenant, I'd think. They are very undeserving.

OK, so I have been to Beaver Dam. Didn't even know it.

- I just hate house music. HATE it. I hate the sound. Hate the vibe. Hate the DJ. Hate the people who enjoy such shitty music. I know some of you enjoy that more, so to each his own. It's not for me. Give me two guys with guitars singing songs I know the words to.

- Watched Simmons show for a bit last night and his interview with Aaron Rodgers and it got me thinking- is there anything more overrated than athlete interviews? They're boring, terrible, cliched bullshit 99% of the time.

- Bruce Feldman, who I like and respect, likes UK this year. Says watching them practice, UK passes the look test, especially at receiver, OL and in the defensive backfield. Thinks we could finish 4th in the East. TIFWIW.

- Amuses me listening to all these podcasts just how much sportswriters think we give a shit about their little media bubble. Even the dudes I love- Dauster, Feldman, Mandel, our own Matt Jones- seem to think the listener gives a flying F about topics like media accommodations at SEC Media Day, Twitter beefs between sportswriters, etc. Just talk about sports...or pop culture...or politics or whatever. There's nothing I care less about than the plight of the sportswriter.

Any comments about his bachelor brother?

Nope. It was the only reason we watched the damned thing. It never even came up. I'm sure it was "off limits" as part of his agreement to come on the show. The interview was horrible. It had all the entertainment value of discussing a tax issue with the IRS for 20 minutes.

-Athlete interviews are only solid once the athlete has retired. They increase in quality by about 100x.

-My aunt died around Christmas, but my uncle can't remember his Facebook login, so since she was the last to log in from their computer, he just stays logged in as her. Pretty weird to post a pic and have my dead aunt "like" it.....FROM THE GRAVE.

-Beaver Dam is more than a rest stop. It's also the hometown(either that or Hartford, same difference) as Lil' Mez. So recognize. Also, Chase is a sorehead.

-Sorry to bring political talk into GYERO, but I am kinda caught up in the whole presidential race. Not that I like either one of them....I just like all the nuts and bolts of the thing....how they determine who they'll pick as their running mate, how they determine who will speak at the convention(and when), all of it. It's helping me bridge the gap until CFB season.

Simmons is just not good on TV, especially during his monologue. Awkward, stiff, forced. And stop trying to dress like a millennial, Bill. You're damn near 50.

And the fact that the show is taped doesn't help, either. Half the topics they're addressing are either moot or old news by the time that show airs.

I'm just not sure that kind of sports show works for television. Jim Rome's TV shows never worked either.

PTI is so simple it's brilliant. There's a reason everyone in sports is following their lead. The "lineup" scrolls down the left hand side, and they work thru topics in an organized fashion.

I'll give Jew & Fat credit for something too -- they basically just interview all the hotshot ESPN personalities all day long. That alone makes their show watchable.

Dan Lebatard is just an awful person. I just hate HIM. But he actually has some good takes. I've come around on his talent, if not on him personally.

PTI is good because it allows a sportsfan to get ALL the day's relevant sports news in 30 minutes, doesn't spend much time on any particular topic and the chemistry between Kornheiser and Wilbon. ATH works for similar reasons.

I've softened on Lebatard primarily because of how likable his father is.

Le Batard is the best thing going on ESPN (Highly Questionable included) because sports talk is mostly stupid. Mike & Mike is the radio/TV equivalent of Mitch's polo buttoned up all the way, Rusillo and Kannel is Mike and Mike for the under 35 crowd, Bomani is occasionally funny/insightful, but can't stop playing his character long enough to really be interesting, and almost all of the TV offerings aside from OTL are garbage.

Why would you need another brewing system for cold coffee? Brew coffee like normal, pour over cup full of ice, suck it down with straws in about 8 seconds, caffeine enters system, profit.

That looks awesome. I bet you can squeeze 2 lawn chairs on that patio. Maybe even 3.

I've actually been on the property. The patio area is about the size of the Grey Goose patio in Lexington. They just have to rip out all that landscaping.

Really curious to see what kind ( if any) progression Barker shows this fall. We can joke all we want about UK football but the pieces are in place for this offense to be pretty good. Talent, experience and depth at wide receiver and running back.

*opens the blinds embracing the sunshine ignoring the torrential downpour coming soon*

Did that dude in Beaver Dam ever finish his mansion?
Yes. Well, actually he didn't. The guy who originally built most of it skipped town after setting an ENORMOUS tire fire. He had apparently been a con man of some sort. It happened so long ago, and I wasn't all that old, that I was never privy to the details. I do know the now superintendent of OC schools bought it and finished it. I'm not sure if he still lives there now, or he's since sold it. But, it is currently occupied by someone.

There are many ways to brew coffee, all of which produce different results/tastes. Cold Brew is entirely different, idiot -- not unlike yourself.

Which you prefer is a matter of personal preference, but they aren't even close to the same taste -- which is why your coffee shop doesn't pour their regular brew over ice if/when you order an iced coffee.

There are two types of "ENORMOUS tire fires" in this world:

1) Accidental: Which will undoubtedly blow one's cover as a con man.

2) Spiteful: In which tires are set ablaze as last hoorah when one has to skip town after their con man cover is blown.

So was it #1, #2, or a #1 followed closely by a #2?

Either way, I now have one fun fact about Beaver Dam (aka "Con Man Tire Fire Town") now. So thanks for that.

^ I'm anything but. You don't have to be to understand the basic differences.

I loathe Andy Roberts, but watching him play golf is a thing of beauty. He's pretty much the Zach Johnson of the KY Amateur scene. Ugh. Him getting paired with PTI(pti) at the Barron still makes me [laughing]. Or was it KGAR? Or both? How did that even happen, I can't remember.

These guys are eating this course alive. Weird watching the OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP with clear/sunny skies in the background. Of course, that can (and will) change in an instant. The only issue out there for these guys right now are the bunkers, which is almost like hitting it into a hazard -- you just have to pitch out sideways most of the time and eat a stroke.

I hope our DL is a pleasant surprise, otherwise any offensive improvement will be for naught.

DL will be a problem again. But a few more points out of our shitty offense would've resulted in wins vs Florida (lost by 5), Auburn (lost by 3) and Vandy (lost by 4).

8 wins last year and the whole outlook on everything is a lot better.
