Padraig Harrington would then have 3 captains picks

My guess as of now on who he would take wouldn't be a surprise, if they are all playing somewhat decently
Ian Poulter
Sergio Garcia
Justin Rose

Shane Lowry will be one of the picks, if I had to bet. Not sure Garcia is the player he once was, and may not get picked.

Ok, new found golf hottie.
I watch a ton of golf, so I watch a decent amount of women’s golf. Charley Hull was a short short wearing nice ass, halfway cute gal but no big deal. Today I stumbled on her Instagram and I’ll call her hot.

I also have an older Odyssey putter. It is a Rossie Dual Force. Definitely need an upgrade. Searched mallet only, and found a Odyssey (2019) EXO 7 Stroke Lab for $149. Also a Odyssey Triple Track 7 Slant $149, Stroke Lab 7 $139

What can you tell me about that new putter? I have played a traditional Odyssey for as long as I can remember and am thinking about switching to something different. I am a good two putter but miss a lot of 6-10 footers.
Feel like my traditional putter wobbles on the takeaway, was thinking something like a mallet or the one you mentioned might keep my takeaway more smooth.
TIA
I have a TaylorMade Ghost mallet putter with a Super Stroker grip and those putts inside 10ft are what a great putter can improve most for you. Also notice how much shorter most pro putt strokes are compared to your own. Get a good putter, line the ball up using a line on the ball, set your putter on that line, then short stroke it in on that line. More weight with a mallet at the bottom helps you shorten that stroke, too.

Yep I agree. I have a much shorter back stroke and the ball still pops with this Stroke Lab. I had been using the Odyssey 2 Ball SRT putter for years until my daughter decided she liked it and we had the shaft cut down for her.

All this is fine but my greatest fear is golf is going to descend into the smack talking trash that all the rest of sport has succumbed to. The trappings around golf, call it the "majesty" if you like, the way they jealously guard the tradition at The Masters... well those are my favorite things about golf and I hope all this Brooks vs Bryson smack talk doesn't cause everyone else to think they have to act like Conor McGregor in order to "build their brand" as that would ruin everything.

It’s already started in a way. You have female golfers like Paige Spiranic who are nothing more than swimsuit Instagram models. Rickey Fowler and his bright colored Puma gear makes him more money than his golf winnings ever could. Many others are following suit as well.

Spieth gonna run away with it next week in Texas.
It wasn't hard to predict Jordan was going to roll this weekend in Texas but coming in right on the heels of me predicting Harry Higgs as the darkhorse at the PGA Championship I'll take it.

I do not think you have to worry about golf turning into a WWE spectacle or UFC fight promoting, as 99% of the guys grew up respecting the game and have etiquette. It is the 1% who have no respect and are natural idiots. All they care about is "ME". I do not think Bryson is in that 1%, Brooks on the other hand,,,,,,,. I just think Bryson will not let someone try to bully or talk shit about him. He is more of the react than the start / talk shit kind. Brooks Koepka has had numerous instances where he, without no reason, will take shots at other guys. These nerd writers can call it the competitiveness of a champion, not buying it. I call it being a self entitled asshole who thinks his shit doesn't stink.

I was thinking along these lines last week watching the PGA. Plus the crowds seem to be getting more and more rowdy, vocal, etc. Phil about got tackled on the 18th Sunday. Lot of yelling and screaming the entire tournament....unless CBS had the mics turned up to highlight that galleries/crowds had returned.

Like Lord Z, one of the enticements many years ago for me to pick up and start playing the game, was the 'majesty' of the game. The beauty of the course (almost any of them). Sadly I think golf is going the way of most other sports. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Agree 100% with everything you said. I like Bryson and I used to like Brooks, but as soon as he got a mic in front of him... I remember the first time I heard him start talking about other golfers. I was thinking he was joking like athletes all do to each other in a harsh but friendly way, but he wasn't. He's just a total jerk. You always hear about certain golfers like Patrick Reed and Bubba Watson that supposedly aren't very well liked on tour, I'd imagine Brooks will be joining that list but he surrounds himself with fantastic looking women so that might save him. At the PGA he got out of the car with two that were smoking hot.

I didn't think the PGA let you have alcohol sponsors. Kokrak has an Eagle Rare logo on the sleeve of his shirt.

Their polos look like a Nascar fire suit.

My daughters first time playing in a 18 hole golf tournament went pretty well. She was playing up an age group against girls 2-3 years older than she is because I wanted her to play 18 holes and her age group only plays 9 holes. She shot 112 which was tied for last but only 6 strokes out of 3rd place. Putting cost her at least 6-8 strokes so overall a successful first attempt at walking and playing 18 holes.

Entertaining finish with some big putts made and some missed. I thought Cantlay was finished after that bunker shot but that was one helluva putt to put it all back on Morikawa.
