GOLF thread

Did he hit that little tree island off to the right? I have always thought if I played there my ball would be dry, but it would be dry right next to that little tree on that island. I have also always wondered how they mow and landscape that thing. I bet the grounds crew hates it.
Yup, it went in the water about 5 feet away from it. Even he was laughing.

I have never seen a pro golfer top a ball off the tee like DeChambeau did.

Molinari did it a couple of weeks ago as well. It was worse.

I saw Finau hit a 50 yd snap hook off the first tee at the Tour Championship a couple of years ago. He jokingly had his caddy throw him another ball and told Rory, "two off the first, right"? They're human and will occasionally look just like the rest of us.

Ditto for Phil at Pebble earlier this year on no. 14 at Pebble, he hit such a ridiculous snap hook that it crossed the OB line about 50 yards off the tee. Then reteed for his 3rd shot and hit a slice damn near OB on the other side of the course. Shit happens, even to the very best of golfers.

Glad Westwood sunk that putt on 18 for solo 2nd. The guy has made over 2 million the last two weeks with second place finishes. Seems to be enjoying golf a lot right now.

It was awesome. Great multiplayer setup. 2K also had the best pro football game ever made before they got Madden'd.

Fowler down to 90th in world, best finish 20th at Genesis, did make cuts at Masters and US Open. Not playing at all this week. Less talk of the rut he is in than Spieth's. Granted one is a major winner. But for the media attention he gets, the only one who says it out loud is Faldo.

How was Dolphin Head? I've never played that one.

Pretty typical for the area. Tight in places with water but generally plenty of room off the tee. It (along with the other courses) was still getting in shape from the winter but I'd much prefer to play in HH in March when it's in the low 70's vs low 90's. There were a lot of great deals to play down there with it still considered off-season.

Is it better the EA Sports Tiger Woods 2012?

I have tried the new game systems and they suck in comparison.

I don't remember that game very well so it would be hard for me to compare. 2K21 has a ton of features and you can build your own course. I enjoyed the Tiger Woods game from a few years ago that allowed you to play Augusta. Can't remember the year but you could use the PS Move controller to simulate a golf swing and that game was awesome.

The old EA Tiger Woods 2012 was on a disc I used for XBox. I tried something last year on a download for a new Xbox and it was terrible in comparison.

Espn had an article a couple of weeks ago about his awfulness

JB is fortunate just be out there with his past medical conditions so I won't fault him for his collapse on the golf course.

True, but he won the LA Open just a year or two ago. TBH, he gives me the impression that golf is a chore for him, not something he really loves doing. Maybe I am wrong . . .

I guess it is really hard for guys at that level, who have to practice all day and do it almost every day, to keep it from turning into a job instead of a passion.
