He'll be going to Memphis with Wiseman. Big blow, IMO.
I suggested this was a possibility last week - especially if Penny can pull a couple big time recruits on top of Wiseman and everyone went ballistic at the suggestion.
I imagine all Penny had to do was put a bug in his ear about the imminent commitment from
Jahlil Whitney. I think the writing is on the wall in regards to Wiseman.

Well the Penny effect had worked out better than I had originally thought it would. Kudos to Penny but cya to Jeffries. We’ll be more than alright without him.
Most won't try to spin this as a positive, but it's better than "certain people" on here that spin everything as a negative..........

Perfect timing with Whitney and Allen visiting this week. Mississippi is an almost impossible place to recruit to start with and now you have the ‘Memphis mafia’ pulling some strings.
Completely different positions and types of players. IMO , Whitney had nothing to do with Jefferies decommiting

That’s a bummer, but I’m excited about the possibilities this opens up for Cal to get wild on the rest of this class.
Bet you my house that we land 2 or 3 guys in this class ranked higher than DJ Jeffries. It's almost a guarantee. Won't be a huge deal.
Not really worried about losing Jefferies, but this probably means we don’t get Wiseman. Cal needs to go all in on Carey and McDaniels.
