D-League

I watched a show today on Mysteries at the Museum, it was about the MILITARY, it was about of all things, silly string! A Soldier on his first deployment in Iraq, he was assigned with a squad clearing a building and was starting through a door, one of them stopped him, told him to wait, the guy pulled out a can of silly string and sprayed it in front of them, it revealed a trip wire! Have any of our VETERANS in here ever heard of this? There's more to the story than just this, just interesting!

Silly string wasn't invented till after I got out. I read about it, but I will let those who were in Iraq talk about it.

Nope, but I like it.

IT'S GAME DAYEEYAYEEAYEEYAY!

18° this morning with moderate winds. Feel is -7° or so the weather site says. Nowhere to go today other than the workout and monster walk so...

Finished the chili last night that my wife made on Saturday. Next up, beef stew for these cold days and nights.

You folks stay warm and dry (snow) and be careful out there.

God Bless the D-League.

Good morning all,

Took my youngest to work on Fort Belvoir earlier this morning she is EE. Felt better driving her though I thought she'd have been okay today. She has a RAV4 and it is AWD. Still icy as can be though. I felt better...

Got home and one of my grandaughters was here as well. Her Mom brought her here today in stead of her day care. Not sure why. I think it was open...

Was shoveling a lot yesterday. Took care not to overdo but darn.

Cats vs. Dawgs tonight

Kentucky is -1.5 favorite. (Worth noting Florida is a -3.5 point favorite at home tonight against #1 Tennessee. Go Gators)

We all know how SEC officiating can be, especially on the road. I hope Brea plays.

Georgia has a win at home against St. John's. Other than that no real quality wins, haven't played a tough schedule. Lost by 11 to Marquette on a neutral floor and just lost by 12 on the road to Ole Miss.

One thing I like about this game that I liked to going into the Florida game. I always like when my team has played a much tougher schedule than our opponent. Can't wait for these games now. Pope has brought that back to the program. Go Cats!

Don't know if anyone cares what umps make, but I was talking to a guy today who has a cousin that umpires baseball. He had risen in the pro ranks to AAA minors. He quit because he felt DEI was promoting people over him. He said he was making 750 a game in AAA (plus expenses I guess). He lives near Chicago and took a job doing Big Ten games at 1,000 a game. I guess he gets to be home more umping college to.

Good morning folks.

I think the book is out on the Cats —ugly up the game, keep going inside, force the bigs to defend deep into the clock and make it as physical as possible. UK is not equipped to win a game like that this year. Maybe Pope can make adjustments but the personnel just isn’t there on the roster.

Still freezing in the east. The snow has hardened into piles of ice as hard as concrete.

Hang in there folks.

Hey, FR, you live in Ky, see you over in the PT giving the Libs heck, you and WC keep it up, makes for good laughs!

Thanks man. Been giving the libs hell for years now haha. I have lived in the Newburgh/Evansville area of Indiana for over a decade now. Close to Kentucky though...grew up in KY, lived in KY my first 25 years, last seven of those in Lexington.

I'm in Muhlenberg, glad to meet you. I took a Stained-glass class in Newburgh many years ago, still doing glass after all these years

Good morning from ATX. Currently 39°F and cloudy. Expect steady temperatures all day. Rain inbound. Snow also forecast for DFW area. Try to get a walk in this morning before rain/snow starts.

Irritated skin late last night. Legs itched like crazy. Probably a reaction to some hot, spicy soup I devoured late yesterday afternoon.

Wishing y'all another great day.
