My sister and BIL spent their 1st Halloween in their new house. They got over 400 kids and ran out of candy.

We do but they are not very plentiful. We've seen one good bull here at the house and a couple up on the mountain where we do most of our hiking. At our hunting lease we'll usually get pictures of a bull about once every three years. If by area you mean within an hour drive....yes. There doesn't seem to be as many elk in KY as there was 10 years ago.
I was at the initial elk release about 20 years ago when the Dept. turned out 7 elk and another here in the county when they turned out a bunch.
Absolutely! Before we started doing the Trunk or Treats I insisted that we "give out" Reese's Cups for that very reason.We live on the main road of our housing division and only get a few tricks or treaters each year. However, we got none last night probably due to the fact that the road is closed to most traffic right now while being repaired. It just means those few bags of candy will have to be eaten before next year. Not big bags mind you, but good bags of candy. My daughter and I will enjoy for sure. Me in moderation of course.

"Day off? Off day.." Yeah my regular day off. (I needed it.) Taking My Darling and the BB to My Darlings medical appointment around noon and then will hit a market or two. Maybe head on post to see if there are any sales.

My Darling and I stayed at home last night. (Was kind of amazed at no doorbell rings in our 55 and over community. Many people here have pets and walk them religiously. (We feel for some of them.) Only one way in and out of our community so it is secluded thankfully. (Even in nearly the middle of town.) Papa babies hit it hard yesterday though here in Virginia and in Florida. Got some seriously good pics. We are thankful..

Slow night of TrT in my neighborhood. I think we had seven. They were lucky kids because I gave each about 7-10 small pieces of chocolate candy - Reese's, Milky Way, Snickers, etc. That's because my wife, in her enthusiasm, bought what must be a 25 pound bag of candy from CostCo. Ah well. I guess we'll nibble away at it and she can take a pile into the hospital where she works.

I live in a secluded area, but have not seen a trick or treater in 30 years or so.
We are usually swamped on trick or treaters, but last night it was only 8. record low.
We ended up with .60" of rain, but it was over many hours.
It is a sunny 55.6°F on our way to a cool high of 66°.
Sherry and I will vote this afternoon. I love the early voting. No lines, nice people and a happy occasion.
I have lived in many places and Kentucky does elections better than any that I lived. We may be hillbillies but we can run elections. When I won as Mayor I knew by 8pm that night.

Snickers and Twix (Right side) can't stand the left, they are always so ugly and bad tasting.
Probably 500 or so trick or treaters in my Lex hood.
Was pretty impressive, even with the crappy weather.
Lot's of excellent costumes as well, and seemed like more older kids participating this year.

Visited Camp Mabry yesterday for new ID cards. My old card was INDEF, issued in 2001, but got a new one anyway. New card expires Oct31 2026. Wife received a new card.

It is a sunny day here. This morning at sunrise it was a brisk 43.3°F but we are supposed to get to 70. I will continue to wear shorts until I can't.

A beautiful day in the east. Sunny and cool. Went on a long run. Then had to help my MIL with some work around their place.
Great recruiting pickup with Acadian Lewis. He’s a perfect player for Pope’s system. So far, very little recruiting drop off from Cal, and that’s about all Cal was bringing by the end. Pope has the edge everywhere else.
Looking forward to a nice dinner at a favorite restaurant tonight. Won't bother to watch the Cats play Tennessee. If the Cats surprise me, I'll watch it tomorrow.

My school didn't have a football team. I never played a real game of football in my life. I helped coach my daughter in basketball and softball because I had a decent idea what was going on. My step son played football in eighth grade, but I couldn't help. had no idea about football. He only played to try and get girls anyhow. He told the coach not to put him in the game.
Not as fired up as I usually am when the Cats play UT. Maybe that will change once the game starts. Who knows? Maybe they'll surprise us.

UT is a second half team. We are banged up. If I am Stoops, I throw caution to the wind and pull out all of the stops. Play like we have nothing to lose because, well... we don't. Take chances, mix it up, keep it changing throughout the second half.

After typing that^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^the monster came over and is trying to get me to take her for a walk. It is wet out and starting to rain again. Not going to happen. Took her to the Vet yesterday for her annual shots and checkup. 143lbs and all is well. Could use to lose a few pounds he said though.

Cats played just well enough that they could give it a way with a couple horrific mistakes, especially that pick-six pass that absolutely blew my mind it was so inept. That, plus the O-line letting UT take target practive on a QB who holds on the the ball too long...
We had a great dinner last night at a favorite restaurant. Nothing like a good steak perfectly cooked.
My son went to the Spurs-Timberwolves game in San Antonio last night with a buddy. Keldon Johnson was the leading scorer in s Spurs win. Glad to see a former Cat do well.

I never made it to church today. My Darling and the BB did, me, I had to go chase a stupid dog. Nuff said... I am thankful.
Took the BB to his school and soccer buddy's birthday party yesterday. Stayed two hours longer than planned but met a couple good people in the process and the BB had a blast.

Heavy winds and rain right now with a tornado warning in effect. Was watching the Bengals when my cell phone warning came on. Neighbors out of town and one of their privacy fence gates has almost come completely off. they have dogs so I will have to go and see how they are as soon as the winds let up.
