D-League

Good morning everyone

Wow, just a great and refreshing game to watch last night. Too many players to mention having good games, but with this much experience and defense we should be able to compete with anyone.

I realized that I watched the entire post-game interview with Pope and enjoyed it. Big difference. I hope in my lifetime we have the definitive answer to who is KY's 2nd best coach.

We'll head out and vote a little after the lunch hour. I think we've figured out that early afternoon seems to be the slowest time at the polls. We aren't working the polls anymore....just not worth it to us. Less stress is my goal.

I hope everyone has a great day and don't be too stressed over the results tonight (talking to myself here).

Good morning D-League.

Prayers to BKO’s family. What a tragedy.

Cats are off to a good start. Weak competition? Yes. But I note that Wright State beat Oakland by 21 late last February. Maybe that’s a sign.

Off to do my voting thing. It is mostly symbolic in Maryland. The entire state from Appalachian towns to Chesapeake Bay fishing villages is decided by slums in Baltimore and along the crime-and-drug corridor bordering DC. But I want to feel part of what I hope is a historic day.

You all have a good one.

Morning Legionnaires!

Mid 50's this morning with a high in the low 60's expected. Cloudy but no more rain until Friday. Need to soak in the last 2 days before we float away, but we will take it. Needed it bad and welcome some more for the weekend.

Headed to Noman OK later this morning for a visit to the oral surgeon to check on last surgical implant healing and progress. It's a process with this. More coming after this set.

Wife, daughter, and I have not voted yet, will do so after she gets off of work at 4:30 this afternoon. Looks like dinner out as it will probably take some time.

You folks take care today and please God save this country with a good day of voting. Prayers have been daily for this country to go in the "right" direction.

Sunrise in Smiths Grove with the sun highlighting a big dark cloud but little chance of rain. It is 65.5°F on our way to a warm 78°. We had to turn the AC back on yesterday. It got warm.

I enjoyed the Cats. I am impressed with the tough defense and the offense is happy going inside or outside depending on the defense of the opponent. I am still impressed with the 3 pt shooting. Last night near 50% even with the last two put up by the freshmen.

I fully expect to lose to Duke; however, I want to see a good competitive game. I am heartened by Arkansas beating Kansas in exhibition game even though Kansas was missing a couple guys. Then Arkansas get beat by a nothing. As usual the early polls tend to be very inaccurate.

Really sorry to hear about BKO's sister. BKO's is a sweetheart.

You all enjoy your Tuesday.

Hello all,

MAN, I hope today's results changes my feelings. (Feelings don't last but they don't feel good either...at times.) Won't go into it but no excuse for what is occurring. Just bad people running amok with power. (Not even talking about the election...) "I know who I believe in and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I've committed, unto him against that day!" I am thankful!

Good morning D-League!

Voted yesterday and I did avoid watching any election results last night and got up this morning to find out the results. I slept great.

I checked the temp outside at 5AM and it was 65 degrees. Wow.

I'm still excited over the first 3 games of the Pope era. I'll have to start preparing to stay up late next Tues. for the Duke game. That will be difficult in the middle of deer season (opens this Saturday) since I get up about 4 AM.

Feeling good this morning for some reason. I hope it's the same for all of you.

Trump won big. Good bye Chuck as the Senate Majority blocking everything. It looks like the house will stay with the Republicans so the little bastards can't impeach Trump at the least the first two years.

Drill baby drill, close the border, stop law fare, make the Trump taxes permanent, force Iran to their knees etc.

Good morning folks. A new morning in America. Living here in a thicket of Kamala signs I have to discipline myself not to gloat, and to trust that the wisdom of the American people will benefit even those who have different beliefs. God Grant Trump the discipline to focus on what matters, avoid pettiness, rise above the irrelevant noise and fulfill the promise of making America great again.

Beautiful day in the east. We’ll remember this one for the rest of our lives.

And DEPORT, don't forget DEPORT SIr. (Do hope you are not dealing with that crap...) Just full on stupid here illegal-wise.... (See them on the corners with signs "Just Arrived" begging, begging, begging...

Slept about three hours but feel FINE!

Hello all,

Working a little today but it will end up being a long part of my day in any event.

Have a GOODUN!!!

Good morning from ATX. Currently 69°F and cloudy. Rain chances increasing mid-morning. Today's high may reach 80°F.

Working on the upcoming Germany trip, which happens Nov 25, two days after Cats vs Horns game at DKR. I'm attending. Lotsa things going on. Former sister in-law ordered the turkey. Anyway, former-nephew traveling with me to Bamberg on Dec 1. We're staying 4 days. He's a big, strapping 38-year old German kid. Foto below. So happy he's going with me. Fine young man. I attended his baptism in 1987 at nearby Burbach church.

Wishing y'all a great day.

Nephew below. By the way, his paternal grandfather fought at and survived Stalingrad.

Church where he was baptized. 800 or so years old. Note snowfall.

50° this morning with light winds. High to be in the mid 60's with rain coming in later this afternoon.

2nd day after the election and excitement gone. Will not be exited again until January 20th. Will not be overly excited as we all know fixing the problems caused by Biden and his Kabal (yes spelling, I just like using K for it) will take some time. Still waiting on the House for full affect. Not sure why it takes some of these states so long to finish with their votes. Trying to keep the pubs from keeping the house and getting the trifecta I guess.

Thursday after the hump helps a bit going into the weekend. Wife took tomorrow off to have a 4 day. Oddly enough we thought she would have a lot of time off because, at the end of last year they were saying her job was going away with the new contractor in May. The new contractor has not taken over yet because the old one has the contract in litigation saying the awarding of the contract to the new company was not legal. Litigation continues and she says no one knows for how much longer. Many of her workers are looking and some have already left for other jobs anticipating the axe to fall. We quit worrying about it and just leave in God's hands.

You folks be careful out there and God Bless.

Good morning, it is Friday Eve folks.

64.0°F and overcast. We are supposed to top out at 66°. Yesterday we got .66" of rain and we can used every little bit of it. We may get a little more today.

@TheFrontRunner I am with you. I love Pope's style of play. He defends and actually has an offense trying to score points instead of see Cal playing not to lose and over managing the team until they are confused.

I agree, Cal seemed to make his own team nervous late in games with all that stuff. The offense is a night and day difference. The passing is great (love having a center that can pass like Williams) and any team where every one on the floor can shoot is my kind of team.

Good morning everyone

It's just another day and a half for the next UK game. I'm looking forward to it. I may watch some of the Bengals game tonight. I just don't watch much sports at all other than UK anymore. Who would have thought?

I saw the big bear that I posted a pic of a week or two ago.

Not much on the agenda officially today...just a men's discipleship group study this evening.

I hope everyone has a great day.

I read where Scumer is still at it though, read where he's trying to introduce a bill aimed at Trump!!

Good morning all,

Hopefully a quiet day working from home. No meetings FINALLY.

The BB should be here shortly, going to make his breakfast of pancakes and orange juice to give My Darling a break. The BB's Mom is going to a gym class she likes so Papa will take him to school though my daughter lives within walking distance of his school....

Well....

Have a fine day!

Good morning D-League.

Happy Friday. Looking forward to the Cats' hoops game Saturday. It'd be nice to come away feeling confident for the Duke game Tuesday.

My wife is heading to NYC to visit her ailing aunt. My three kids are scattered to Philly, Texas and KC, so I'm alone again, naturally.

It'll be okay to have some time alone this weekend, just to absorb all that has happened in my life, and with the election. I'm enjoying this Schadenfreude Phase of the election cycle, to use the German word for pleasure from anothers' misery, watching the smug, arrogant, sneering class of elitists make asses out of themselves and in some cases actually break down emotionally. Kudos to the good work of our fellow posters on the Politics thread.

Hope you all have a good day.

Sure wouldn't mind running into you/ meeting you one day. You be good people. Hard to stay that way where you landed. I can somewhat relate but from the view from afar your path has been much much more difficult to remain....human.

I too have listened to leadership with the snide and tart remarks. (The remarks are more evident now.) Not so much conceit in the tone now though. ;) That part makes me feel good. (Wish I could share a document that was just put out.) Take care...

Thanks BB. I'd enjoy that too. Meanwhile, have a great weekend my friend.

Good morning D-League. Sunny and cold in the east. A beautiful morning for a long Saturday run.

Game day. I’d love to see continued signs of a new day for the basketball Cats.

That said: I’m superstitious about nothing in life, except sports. That’s leftover from boyhood I guess. And this morning I saw a car with a BUCKNELL basketball sticker! I’m quite confident I’ve never seen one before in my life, and on game day!

I’m hoping Pope’s magic overcomes even such a clear and loud jinx.

We’ll know soon. Have a great day.

Morning D-Leaguers. It was a crisp 52°F here this morning at sunrise and now it is 57.4° on our way to a cloudy 66°F with little chance of rain.

I have watched too much news because I love seeing some of the more hateful dudes have to eat crow.

I also enjoyed seeing the stock markets react so positively. Maybe we will get some reasoned economic decisions come January 20th. I have a lot of hours in econ and making my living in a very competitive industry. The last four years was like living in economics never never land. Those dude did not know their economics from their asses.

I look forward to the game this afternoon.

Enjoy your Saturday.

Passing through from Nashville (hate that Nashville traffic with a passion) yesterday Stopped at the Bucc-ee's near you for gas and we both got a brisket sandwich. 12.99 I think for the biggest one. It was filling and good.
