I could have sworn that UK would tie the modern-day series with a win against UL this year. I know I've been keeping up with it because it's one of the only things the locals can throw in my face. I forgot about the 2021 forfeited season. Ugh! Now 2-games back.

IU now 8-0. Damn it!

Vandy hanging in with Texas. Vols are for real. UK should go after their coach while he's hot.

Another baseball story. It is told by Billy Sunday the baseball player turned evangelist. It involves Ned Williamson, one of baseball's biggest stars in the 1880's. After the season a group of players took a trip to tour Europe. As Sunday told it, on the way home there come a great storm and the ship was rocking. They all thought they might die. Ned was a large man and he put on 2 life vests and one on his wife. He was a big drinker and he told God that if He let him live, he would quit drinking forever. The skies Immediately cleared and the winds died down.

When they got home, Ned bought a tavern in Chicago and went back to his old ways. Sunday said every time he did a revival in Chicago, he would stop by and see Ned. Ned would cry like a baby, but he just couldn't quit his ways. Ned died a young man from liver complications and TB. Sunday said Ned's liver was hard as a rock and huge.

Just tell them that in the last 10 years (The real "Modern Day") UK has kicked UL's ass.

Defense has collapsed. Horrible play calling. Stoops has given up. Wimsatt is not the answer. Multiple injuries. 7 straight SEC home losses. It really doesn't get much worse than this. The only question left is will they win more than 4 games this year.

I've got nothing against IU. Only team in B1G I'd prefer beating them is Purdue just because GD goes there. But they're awful. UK & PU would be a titanic struggle with 3-0 being most likely score.

Football, Football. La la la la la la I hate that game La la la la la la. Not really, but I hate the season so far for both of my teams (Cats and Bengals). Time for new leadership on Both.

Looking forward to BB season with an exhibition game tomorrow night and the regular season starting next week.

Only good sporting news was that we won both co-ed softball games yesterday (18-9 and 14-7). Apparently, I have a new nickname from some of the brothers on the opposing teams. OG (old guy) Now when they great me they say things like "What's up OG" or "How's it going OG" took me a few minutes to figure out what they meant by OG until I ask.

Hey, you hard working Bubba's be careful out there today.

Back at work. Always an adjustment, even after just a couple off days. I can feel myself ever more getting mentally and psychologically ready to retire. I'm financially there, to be honest. I just have to make sure my mind is right to walk away.

Beautiful, cold and crisp day in the east. Went for a long run in the day and it felt like winter for the first time.

I'm wit ya MdW. (I just got back from a medical appointment. I am working from home today.) (It seems you have a few years on me as I never considered Nolan Ryan and I are the same age, at least the session stating he was 63.)

Looking at finances I feel we are ready to retire but my mind isn't ready. (I think I will know when that time comes.) (I hope.) I am still pushing hard in the job but now to see my people get the accolades though I sure do like seeing good fruit born by my initiatives.

I may take myself in another direction as well once I do decide to hang it up.

I sure hope President Trump gets in.. (Not being political with this.) My Darling is talking about me home-schooling my two grandchildren that are here near us. This STUPID criminal agenda with schools and what they teach now is seriously scary for the innocent children.

I do not want to but I do have the credentials to teach and if the Lord doesn't take me home I could get them through grade school...

We shall see, I am thankful...

Took some sick time off this morning but better start hitting it...

Good morning all,

Another day working from home but I am seriously busy every day this week. Have to be on video this morning first thing in a important functional meeting so have to dress the part.

Meeting a guy at my daughters at noon, buying her large BBQ grill. Needs a trailer. Need my old clothes on...

Back for another "dress up meeting around two. HA. Two dress up meetings in one day is very unusual.

Have a day to remember in fondness....

Cold and clear in the east. I was out walking about an hour ago and there is just a sliver of moon and in that darkest hour the stars were vivid. Then I saw a falling star streak across the sky. Beautiful.

Looking at the dark morning sky I was reminded of a quote in the great book Lonesome Dove when Gus is pondering why so many men he’d known had shot themselves. “It seemed to him it was because they could not take enough happiness from the sky and the moon to carry them over the low feelings that came to all men.”

Heading into work now. Hope you all have a great day.

The upside to most of the team being good 3-point shooters is that there will be times where you have an off-shooting night, but since we have so many, someone will be on, so you keep feeding them and of course work on some more inside play when you have 3 guys who can play inside.

True, we sure shoot a lot of 3's. But Carr has been almost entirely an inside player, Williams as well. I hope Garrison has learned to not shoot the 3 by now. And....Oweh is unstoppable driving to the basket. Butler not bad at that too. Oweh is going to be my favorite player.

I've recommended the following for a bunch of people I know and it has helped everyone so far. Raw, low sodium beets. They have directly worked wonders for several people with serious HBP. Fresh or canned. Best by themselves but still work in a shake or smoothie. They also sold them for a while in squeeze packs at Costco or Sam's Club.

An acquaintance of mine told me about them many years ago after he had heard about them from an older woman. Saved two of his friends from bed rest and hospitalization respectively.

I can't stand the taste, but have eaten them when I've had hypertension issues and they've really helped me as well. Please let me know if they work to help you. Always good to get some positive feedback. Prayers being said that they help for you as well.

Only saw part of the Cats game. I’m not sure we know much yet. This style of play works great against lesser talent but will it work against athletic defenders who can harass out on the perimeter? And can the Cats guard athletic SEC players?

Good morning everyone

I believe I'm going to enjoy this year's team. We may not be the most talented team in the country, but I think it will be a fun team to watch. Our experience should be a big factor as well.

We're not getting as many pics this year as we normally do but a big bear shows up at the house every couple of weeks. I haven't seen him in person yet this year. But he's moving around more during the day so probably just a matter of time now.
