D-League

Reading Rafters after bad game is hilarious.

-my thought process on Cal is this: all the success is predicated on getting kids to the draft. How do we win? By having the best talent. How do we get the best talent? We make sure the kids get paid in nba.

That being said, cal will be stubborn. We barely play zone because man to man is what you see in nba, and goes back to first premise of getting guys ready/into nba.

The reason Skal, the Harrison's, Archie, etc get the leash, is no matter what, wins or loses, have to get them to the nba or the whole thing breaks down. You crack the illusion. What, 6 dudes drafted? We can cover up Harrison not getting drafted, because 6 dudes. There is even a mystique in the NBA that our guys are somehow more draft able.

Willis will never get play because he's not an NBA dude. Cal will treat people differently because his job is to get people to the NBA. The NBAers will get treated like shit. Murray, doesn't play D? It's ok, because he will be a lotto pick. Willis loses one dude, benched, wel, he's treated differently. And it should be that way.

As silly as it sounds. Getting the 5 guys drafted from 2010 was the lynchpin of the program taking off. It showed everyone that UK=NBA. It's a simple probability, have the most talent and you should win. 4 FF in 6 years. More talent comes in.

That being said, we have primary and secondary motivations. I really think cal s primary motivation is getting kids drafted and being a basketball coach is secondary motivation.
Absolutely agree with this. Cal is more of a promoter than a traditional coach.

Friend of mine went with a not-very-invested-in-recruiting buddy to the Holiday Invitational Basketball Tournament here in Raleigh. When buddy saw Bam for the first time, he asked, being serious as hell, "why is there a coach in the warm up line?" [laughing]

My friend said Bam looked like someone's dad out that playing against a bunch of middle school kids.

Worried about where Murray and Briscoe went after this was snapped, you guys.

Been laying off the making a murderer stuff because I don't have Netflix and haven't seen it yet. However from what I know, it sounds an awful lot like the West Memphis Three. Shoddy police work mixed with a forced confession of a mentally handicapped kid leads to a shitstorm.

As time went on, I am convinced those three kids are innocent. The only thing connecting them to anything at the scene was the Misskelly kid's confessions, but he couldn't give details in any of them without being led by someone to give the answer they wanted. These kids were victims of being outcasts in the Bible Belt. Listening to Metallica and dressing goth in the deep south in the early 90's labeled you as a satanist. Hell, the prosecution's star testimony was someone who claimed to be an occult specialist, but was revealed to have a mail order phD.

DNA evidence later puts one of the stepfathers at the scene, plus the knife of one of the victims was found at his home. Why the state never looked into Hobbs as the murderer after finding that amazes me. Especially after finding a bite mark did not match any of the boys convicted. But, Arkansas maintains a record of zero overturned convictions in the state. Those Alford pleas they made those three take to free them was bullshit. "You're proclaiming innocence, and we're gonna let you go, but we are gonna make you plead guilty.". Give me a break.

However, the most infuriating thing of the west Memphis three, the misconduct of the judge and jury foreman that later came out. It was proven that the judge that resided over both trials shared information of Misskelly's trial and confession to the foreman of the jury of the other two boys' trial. The foreman then took the information and shared it with the jury during deliberation. Huge no no, because Misskelly's confession was inadmissible for their trial unless he testified against them, and he refused. That alone should have been basis for a retrial.

Watch the Paradise Lost documentaries on YouTube. There's a lot of other details and evidence that I am leaving out. Plus, the Byers dude is quite a character. Pretty sure dude killed his wife, and may have had a role in the killings.

She's hot, but that outfit was no good last night. She's also aging quickly, which is cool 'cause so am I. She'd still get it, whatever 'it' is.
Kinda liked the outfit...

Reminded me if she were the slut in the Pink Ladies gang in a stage production of Grease.

Spaking of Grease, I'd grease every fold of that minx and plow it mercilessly*.

*Said greasy merciless plow session would last as long as Skal handles a low-post pass.
