One of the players talked about kills, if I heard right, when KY stops the other team from scoring 3 times in a row, that's a kill! I could be wrong, Mrs. M says I am about 99% of the time!!

Wow, what a great game for UK. It sure didn't look good for us during the first half. Where was our great D and great shooting? But, what a gritty performance in the second half. I cringed at some of the near half court heaves (that's what they are no matter how good you are). The calmness during the madness towards the end of the game is what stands out to me the most. I think we have a team.

Hunting report....I got a decent buck Saturday and my wife got one yesterday. We have given one to our niece/nephew and will be teaching her how to cut one up tomorrow. It's not too hard but this kind of work kills my lower back. It sure beats paying more money to get it done. We already have a small fortune in our hunting and fishing.

They are supposed to be neutral. They are not. They are pro-ACC and they fall over their asses being pro-Puke.

I watched the game again today and it was a damned Duke commercial. Jay Bilas is as biased and any color guy can be. All the bad calls against UK were fine. Calls against Duke were pointed out.

I am glad we have ESPN; however, they are biased out the ass.

Man I have a dilemma...(Many would like to have my "problems".) Thought I was winding down my career. I think about retirement but it is not in my current plans. (Planned to go three more years or at least until I turn 65 if the Lord doesn't take me home.) I could retire now but there are so many unknowns. (I know several here have went through it.) I still have zeal for the work. Sick of the swampers and swampettes.. May have a chance to at least change the scenery and with a decent raise with less involvement with the S&S "bigshots" (In their own minds.) . The thing is I would be away from My Darling more than I am now being at the office.

It will work out, I am just typing. I hope all are well and resting well, as well. (Well, I wanted you all well!) Well, well...

Still psyched about Kentucky’s win. I watched a little of Arkansas last night. They trailed Troy (I think their nickname is ‘The Fighting Donahues’) at the half before winning. They play like Kentucky did last year and the contrast in styles with Pope’s offense is amazing.

With the Duke game behind us, and no Kentucky game for a few days, I’ve been watching some of my discs for a hoops fix —The 1978 championship, the 1998 Elite Eight game, the 2015 Champions Classic…From Goose Givens to Padgett, Sheppard and Mills to Jamal Murray. What a remarkably rich hoops legacy we’ve been able to enjoy, as evidenced just by a glimpse at past Duke games.

I was looking at an article about "dumb" dogs today. I think you said you have a chow. They are on the list I saw. Is it true? Sometimes a dog can be mislabeled. For instance a beagle is often listed as dumb, but that is because of their powerful sense of smell. It often overpowers them in training sessions. They may simply be more interested in a scent than what a trainer wants them to do. I was just wondering about chows. I have never been around one.

Off today (Off other days too but I am not working at my day job today.) Got up, took the BB to school, came home, ate breakfast and sit at my computer. I have a few things to do today but I plan to pick up the BB around 4 and told him I would not turn my work computer on today that it was his and my time today.

Oh, I have a John Wayne movie queued up on my computer that I have never watched. Just got through the opening of "Tycoon"... we shall see. (I have about ten of his movies I own that I have never watched. Just hasn't felt right to watch yet. May wait and drink a Yuengling or two later this evening and watch. My Chow/Shar Pei mix died a couple of years ago and he was dumber than a box of rocks. However, before him we had a Chow mix named Jake who was very intelligent. He was a rescue dog, (most of ours are) so we did not know what he was mixed with, but he was a sharp dog.

Paul Skenes is a hot shot rookie pitcher for the Pirates. Had a great rookie year and they expect him to be special. Topps made one special card and it is being sold at random in a ordinary pack. The Pirates are offering whoever buys the "so to speak golden ticket" 30 years of season tickets plus a few other things for the card.

Got up late this morning for the first time in a long time. Stayed up last night and watched the Tyson-Paul fight. It was not even close. I think Jake Paul actually went easy on him. Tyson looked confused most of the way. It was just a money-making deal. A couple of fights before were much better.

Got to get motivated and walk the monster. She has been in my face while I have been sitting on the couch watching last nights Gutfeld.

But what are the odds whoever gets that card, in a national distribution, lives close enough to go to Pirate games? I guess you could sell the season passes but a card like that would probably just bring a lot more in an auction.

Just got a weekend bonus —my wife and I were taking this boring couple who are friends of hers out to an expensive lunch because it’s a longstanding tradition on the guy’s birthday in November — and they take us out on my wife’s in March…But he and his wife just canceled, so my wife and I can have a lunch I’ll enjoy a lot more —for half the cost.

Went to another HS football playoff game with friend last night: alma mater NCC beat Brossart. I thought the talent level was pretty good for small schools. Enjoyable cool weather.

I see the Cats beat Murray State. If only Berea and Cumberland College had football teams Stoops would be Bowl-eligible. Louisville managed to lose to a terrible Stanford team —they gave up 59 in their last game to NC State. So, maybe there is hope for the Cats in that game. But when it comes to the SEC, Stoops has never really been competitive, and that won’t change. Baffled Barnhart got lucky and somebody bailed him out of his Lifetime Contract with Cal. That won’t happen with Stoops. He’s going to have to actually do his job and fire the guy, or endure more years where going in the best case scenario is beating four mid-major weak sisters and two SEC bottom feeders to go to the Toilet Bowl.

55° this morning with moderate winds. A high of 68° expected with a strong chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Fall league co-ed softball tournament supposed to start at 1300 today but rain may cancel those plans. Right leg while still sore and bruised from last week's quad injury has some mobility with light pain so, I will jog to first (foregoing my blazing speed) if I get a hit. Since they allow pinch runners, I will be fine.

Ladies defeated evil Cards at Memorial yesterday in an OT game, 71-61. Wife and I watched it. First win by Lady Cats against Louisville since 2015. I maintain Coach Brooks is special.
