This is how stupid some people are, in the town next to ours, the owners just posted that they are sorry to announce that they are closing, wait for it, the reason they are closing is the incoming administration, high cost of food, promise to raise tariffs and here's the best one, mass deportation!!! Wonder who they voted for!!! Give me a break!!

I was a big Ali fan because of his work ethic. He worked much harder than anyone else. I would have liked to seen him without the layoff. I read in the Ali Frazier fight where the Frazier corner threw in the towel, in the late rounds, Ali kept saying to Frazier "You are getting tired and you are in

Good morning from ATX. Currently 39°F with a slight NW breeze. Today's high expected around 72°F.

Watch UK women's volleyball last night vs Mississippi State. Cats dominated for the most part. Won 3-0. Can win another SEC title if they beat Hogs at Memorial this coming Sunday.

It’s 29f outside. The calendar was tight again. Winter has arrived. I’m trying to layer on enough stuff that I don’t freeze my ass off running four miles.

Another tune-up game for the Cats. These guys are fun to watch even against mediocre teams.

Good morning everyone.

We got about 3" of snow last night but It didn't stick on the roads except on top of Pine Mountain. I thought about hiking in the snow but it is just a little too warm. It will be a slushy mess soon.

Game Day! Excited even though this may be the worst team we've faced in a long time.

I'll take a Retirement Day today and just watch the birds at the feeder, eat some nice meals, and enjoy the game later. Nice gig if you can get it.

My neighbor is flying down for the game with some of his fellow UK grads so there will be some support tomorrow. The Cats seem to rise up for the big games, UT, Ole Miss and UGA.

Back in the days when I could still run, usually the cold didn't bother me much once I had ran enough to get some body heat going.

Bernie -- That's true enough. I'm so cheap I'm still running in cold weather gear (long johns basically) I bought to wear on pipeline jobs more than 40 years ago. The stuff fit so poorly and aggravated me so much this morning I told my wife I'm going to Dick's Sporting Goods tomorrow and updating my winter running clothes. My wife, by contrast, who is more of a distance runner, upgrades her gear every season, whether she needs to or not, and probably has well into four-figures worth of insulated running pants. The secret to our success as a couple -- I don't mind working for it, she loves to spend it, and we zero-out each other.

I also am pretty cheap. I recall as a kid, using out houses and the Sears catalog. Many a day, I took mayonnaise sandwiches to school for lunch.

Good morning all,

I am on leave today again. Not sure how to act.

Took the BB to school this morning. His Principal called his Mom a little while ago. It seems he made student or as they stated Cub of the week (Mascot Lion). Pretty cool, he is a good boy and engages with most anyone to help. His teacher recommended him which is always good.

On my note, got a call this morning for an impromptu meeting about an hour later.

I will state again, I am thankful knowing that God ALWAYS takes care of me, giving me what is best for me every time. I submit to his care. Do not doubt that for yourselves. I am thankful...

And, I am lurking but cleaning and rearranging my office as I need to make room for my treadmill. Not getting enough exercise lately and need to ensure I stay on the path I was on... My weight is still trending good but I know what I am not doing so...

Have a goodun and ....

Game Day! Go Big Blue! I'm headed for the bus stop around 8 am. Plan on grabbing Chick-Fil-A down by university then walking over to parking lot for tailgating. Enter DKR stadium about an hour early.

Cats dominated at Rupp last light. Brea was on fire, as was Oweh. Love this team.

Wishing y'all an awesome Saturday.

Enjoy the game. I'll be watching....mainly to see how good Texas is this year.
