Good morning from ATX. Currently 66°F and cloudy. Increasing rain changes beginning at 9 am. Meh, we need it.

@cordmaker : Very nice work, as usual. I carry the glass ornament you hand-crafted for me in my backpack. It goes everywhere with me and will visit Germany next month.

Game Day! Zags visit Rupp. Game broadcast begins at 3 pm CT. Go Cats!

Wishing all a winning Saturday.

Uncle Ken travels a lot of miles!!!! ATX just remember, every time you look at your ornament, you remember that I am praying for you!!!

Nice work cordmaker.

Just thought of another story. Dealing with people is often a headache. We worked mostly women. There were two women who both liked the same guy. One day, one of the women was sitting in a chair running a binding machine (sort of like a sewing machine). Out of nowhere, the other woman ran across the room and dove at her like a football player making a tackle, knocking her to the floor. We got them separated and the tackler left never to be seen again, by us at least.
Sorry for the laughing emoji but the mental picture was just too much.

Good morning folks.

Back from a morning run. Cool and cloudy but pleasant in the east.

Big chance for the Cats today. Playing short handed again. But it’s a deep team. I hope Kentucky has enough.

My wife is still not herself after the botched procedure. She had to cancel a trip to New York she was looking forward to. If she’s feeling better maybe a pre-Valentine’s Dinner tonight at a steakhouse we both like.

Hope it is a good day for everyone. Go Cats.

Good morning all.

Me and the BB just climbed out of bed. His "Ama" already made his banana pancakes and he and I are in our office working. Waiting for the coffee to finish and I have a piece or two of Costco cheese pizza to eat. (Will stick it in the air fryer though it is good cold too.) My Darling had some sort of choir practice to go to and has left.

Dude stopped me in the Lowes parking lot about a week ago. (Saw My Darlings front bumper and offered to fix it.) He has a mobile fix it shop for auto body work. Sure enough he and his partner were here yesterday and put the new bumper cover I've had for a couple years on and painted it. The paint looks decent as well. Seems to match up.

I have a couple under body parts I must re-order as I wore out the other ones but those are not a real big deal.

My Darling took my car. I will take off the rest of the tape later once she returns. Then I have to reattach a couple areas underneath and all should be good to drive tomorrow.

Cost less than a third of what two body shops quoted me so there is that. I don't mind a little labor to save that amount.

I am thankful..

Go CATS, take over from Cal where you can, meld and kick some buttocks... (Other than recruiting Cal is a serious detriment to this team and prior teams. It is a serious shame this has been allowed...)

Did my normal workout and walked the monster early this morning and then started cleaning the house as is the norm for Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Saturday a little more as the in-laws come that day each week. Per usual, I start with dusting the upper areas of the house so, I turn the lights on around the house to see what I am doing. I start in the kitchen and work my way into the living room and then around the house.

This morning as I came from the kitchen to the living room the lights were out. My wife and daughter had just gotten up and were there on the couch on their cell phones. I turned the lights back on and they both objected saying it was too bright too early in which I reminded them of my Saturday morning ritual. They complained a little more until I ask them: "Do you know what I hate about Oklahoma?" My daughter says "No, What?" I replied: "All the darn Vampires". My wife just looked at me with a smirk and said: "Ha Ha."

I am the exact same way. Our new house has great lighting but my wife keeps telling me to turn the lights off in MY office. (I do have lesser lighting available but DARN, I like to see what I want to see...)

Feels like a must-win today. Can't afford to drop another home game this late in the season especially to a down-year Gonzaga team. Only 8 games left after today and it's brutal with Ole Miss, Bama, Auburn, LSU and UT still on the schedule. Really hope they can avoid a Thursday game in the SEC tournament.

Go Cats!

IT'S GAME DAY!

Keeping it ^^^^^^^^^^^short this time. Don't want to get too excited, don't know which team will show up.

@berniecarbo Keep on with the stories whenever you like. I don't mind.
Here is one more since you asked. I used to have 30 or 40 jobbers a week come to buy from me. One's first name was Glen and he had played football for Ohio State. He wasnt a star player or anything, but he said when they went on the road, you wouldnt believe how many women would approach you in the lobby of the hotel and place their room key in your hand.A jobber was basically a route salesman who sold lamps and shades to furniture stores. I always got along with Glen, but he thought pretty highly of himself. He eventually changed his first name to Sterling as it was more appropriate for a man of his stature.

Dang Sir,

I was just a spec 4 in the Army and had girls do that with me. Of course I was about half lit at the time and I think they were three quarters or fully off their rockers but...

On a positive note the guys fought back. Interior defense is horrible. It's been nearly 60 years since UK has lost 3 straight at home. Season ticket holders have got to be pissed. 4 losses total at home and 3 were to unranked teams. Has that ever happened? The Rupp advantage no longer exists. For now. Chin up for me though. Mitchell and Wagner are injured. Get this team healthy by March and who know. Trying my best to stay positive.

I decided today to not watch the game, for the first time since I followed UK, I didn't even check the score one time. Glad I didn't, I am past angry with this crap...

UK needs to sue Cal for non-performance and dance his arse off the UK stage...

The team cannot overcome him or his. The players can play but as young as they are, they need competent guidance WHICH they do NOT have...

UK has lost 4 of last 6. We currently have 7 losses. With 8 games left before the SEC tournament, I see 5-3 as maybe the best possibility. That would send us to the SEC tourney at 21-10. We aren't winning that tourney...so I think we are going into Selection Sunday with at least 11 losses.

If Cal loses the Ole Miss game, I don't think the team will make the tourney.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 58°F and under severe thunderstorm watch. Cooler temperatures inbound.

Yeah, UK basketball not looking good. Began the season with so much promise. Lost 4 games to visiting teams so far this season, including 3 consecutive. Horrible.

Wife got COVID. Probably from me. She's taking PaxLovid.

Plan on watching Super Bowl 5:30 pm CST. Go Chiefs!

Wishing all a peaceful Sunday.

That is probably a subjective name of stature since that is also a cheap beer. :p

Good morning folks.

Gloomy, rainy day in the east.

Depressing performance by the Cats. Ah well, Reds will be reporting for spring training soon.

Very little interest in the Super Bowl today. Not even sure I’ll watch. Don’t care who wins.

Hope you all have a restful Sunday.

Good morning all,

A rainy day here. The wife's Camry seems okay. Feels better driving a car that doesn't look a little wrecked. That will be my hand-me down when we start looking in earnest for a new car.

It will feel like a Cadillac compared to my Mazda 3.

Sherry and I got married in August 1966. The first Super Bowl in January 1967, so we had Ed and Loretta over and watched the first Super Bowl. By the second Super Bowl Ed and Loretta were married and we watched it at their house.

Bert and Sherry have never missed one even though we don't follow the NFL.

I am a sucker for records. I can't miss a UK basketball game. The last one that I did not watch, listen on the radio or go to the game was in December 1965.

No internet right now because of snow I guess. First real snow of the season. We did have a flurry once but nothing stuck. Around here when we get any kind of snow internet goes out and that's where I get my TV from. So I will probably not watch the game unless they get it back on. I am in an NFL pool so I'll watch the scores on my telephone which is where I'm posting from right now.

Bad you can't watch, I haven't watched one for a while..

Heading out to my garage to tie up some junk for the trash in the morning. They show up around 5:30 so no time to get it out then. (Got a car bumper and some other items to cut down and bind up...) Garage nearly getting to where you can walk through it without bounding around items. Not quite but getting there. Lost a LOT of clutter with that boxed up bumper and peripherals... I have a Black & Tan out there in the fridge that are calling me too... ;) (Or two...)

I am going to install some raised storage soon but I need to paint the garage walls first. I have a bucket of mud but only slightly started that. Will paint one wall at a time... Hoping to have all completed by some time during the spring...

Good morning folks.

An exciting Super Bowl seen just from the perspective of dramatic intensity.

An odd one for me. I started watching not caring who won. Somehow, by halftime I was rooting hard for the 49ers. I can't say why, maybe all the Taylor Swift bullshit (though I have no beef with her.) I think more likely the boorish antics of guys like Kelce getting in the face of Andy Reid because he wasn't calling plays for him -- how is he supposed to keep his endorsement gravy train rolling?

By the end, I really wanted SF to win, though at some level, once the PAT was missed, I knew it was over.

I'd love for the Reds or Bengals (or the Cats though I'm about to give up on that) to get on a run like the Chiefs sometime before I die. I guess it happened a couple times for me -- Reds 70-76, Cats 93-98 -- so I'm luckier than some.

I hope all you folks have a great day.
