D-League

Conway and Loretta.... (Mississippi-Louisiana)

Merle...

Been fiddling with my guitar again, lost a lot, even after I got my fingers quasi hard again. I do not hit the notes I used to hit, nor as fast.... (I used to be a decent player by my own reckoning...)

I still pick a little buddy......

Walked the monster after exercising this morning and it was shorter than normal as she had to lift her feet up over the snow on each step. She enjoyed it though being she has so much fur. After the walk I had to keep a promise to my daughter who reminded me that last year was the first year since she can remember that we did not build a snowman (snow was dry and dusty the only time we had a good amount). So, we made one this morning even though it is supposed to get to 50° today. It is currently 43° with 10mph winds and we made it in an all-day shaded area so, it might last a day or two. We shall see.

Good morning folks.

Rainy and cold in the east.

My wife gave me the ol’ “I don’t want anything for Valentines Day” routine, which meant I had to search around the internet to find the right arrangement of roses to have delivered. And since we both work, have them delivered to a neighbor where I can pick them up after work, and so on. Always my least favorite holiday by a mile.

Cats need to show big improvement tonight. Here’s hoping.

Heading in on the subway. Have a good day guys.

Don't do flowers anymore, she doesn't want them! I always get her a gift certificate to the place where she gets her hair and nails done, she always appreciates it!!!!!

My Darling grows them Sir. If I ever buy any, they are in pots. (I don't buy them because I have a taste deficiency when it comes to picking out flowers My Darling wants to plant.) I do take her out to eat whenever I can talk her into it to give her breaks. ;)

The Director grew up in a situation where holidays/days of significance........didn't happen. Birthdays were mentioned but no celebrations of any sort.........none.........it took 10 yrs. to get her to celebrate Christmas, but no gifts.......I've given up on the other occasions.......except our anniversary...........I get her something every year.......against her wishes......

My wife says that every year too. I get her something anyway and get the same "I told you I didn't want anything" as she hands me a card and a gift.

Nice win...next two road games against ranked Auburn and a .500 LSU team.

Beat number 13 Auburn on the road and take care of business against a bad LSU team...you could see the season looking a lot better with a 3 game win streak with a ranked Alabama coming to town.

I know I'm getting way head of myself. I just think a road win at Auburn, and you could see the team gaining confidence...I'm not usually the hopeful type, I'm trying a different approach haha.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 44°F and partly cloudy. Clouds moving in later. Looking at 66°F for today's high.

Good close out. Really needed the W last night. 7 more regular season games remaining.

Oncology called yesterday and cancelled today's appointment for radiation follow-up. Mentioned something about authorization. Maybe next week. Stay tuned.

Happy Valentines Day. Happy Hump Day, y'all.

I picked UK to win at Auburn in the prediction thread. Why? I don't know except... hopeful. We need to finish strong to give us a real hope of making a run. I know...LOL will be some responses.

Nothing would make me happier than to shut those guys up on RR but a loss tonight and talk about not making the NCAA tourney becomes real. Time to right the ship.
I haven't even glanced over at RR for 2 weeks now. I don't need the negativity. Dealing with my own is more than enough. I didn't watch last night but I'll try (just like the Zags) to get back with it for the Auburn game. This is the make or break game of the season IMO. Not counting the big tourney of course.

The wife has no interest in flowers and considers them a waste of money. So I take her to the flower display at the grocery store, let her select a bouquet - and say "IF I was giving you flowers, it would be these." She smells them, puts them back and we go our way. It has saved me a fortune and I get credit for being romantic.

Good Sunday morning everyone

I'm taking suggestions on what to do to enjoy my extra 5 or so hours per week that has become open now.

I hope everyone has a great day.
For a few years now I have followed the CATS vicariously through this site and different sites online. I just can't watch the product on the floor. The officiating is infuriating! Some of the calls are absolutely crazy. The call against the big white kid at the end of the TA&M, game, just about any game the CATS play in you will see calls that are wrong. Then they go to the monitor and stare for another 10 minutes and that is supposed to convince us not to believe our lying eyes and to believe their call. Now kids are moving from school to school like carnival barkers moving from town to town. I check the scores and read about them and that is all I can muster up...........but I will never completely stop following them........I just won't lose my appetite when they lose.

Front brakes and rotor replaced last week, water pump today. Always something. 😃

I did My Darlings brakes and rotors front and back 7 or 8 or so months ago. Had a couple mechanic shops price me a grand an axle. I did them myself in my driveway for $384.49. (Didn't buy the best parts but a middle choice at Advanced Auto...) Took me about five total hours. (One wheel at a time, then we drove to Alabama. No issues so far, the car stops with no squeaks, noise, or rattles.) I needed the exercise anyway.

A month or two later at most I replaced the timing and A/C belts on my Mazda. (I think it was $40 or 50 for parts. Took me a couple hours. (I work cheap.) Kept nearing two grand in my pocket too...

I am thankful!

For me it's all the delays. Can't stand commercials & talking heads. Officials have been officials for a hundred years+. Nothing new/different.

Back when I was a youngster I couldn't afford store bought repairs.......so, in my benign ignorance I would start out on the quest to repair stuff I didn't have any idea about........I would just tell myself that if someone else was smart enough to repair/fix something.......then I was too............I just recently put new rollers in the dryer......the Director was yammering on about going shopping to buy a new one...........$17.89 in parts and two hours dis-assembling the rascal..........put a new pre-ignition fan in the HVAC unit.......I kept that unit working 31 yrs.......the service guy wouldn't have touched it the last few times I piddled with it.......my next project is two new igniters on our KitchenAid Gas range.......it will be a day long project! but I will save us $300...........I like to keep my money in my pocket

I have lost your address.......could you email it to me?

I got my wife a Kindle Paperwhite reader for Valentine's Day. Never let it be said that I'm not practical when giving gifts. Romantic? No.

I guess that was good. I will search later to see what it is...😁

I despise typing on a phone.

Edit/ Update: HAHA, I got it now. I work in technology and don't have the sense God gave a goose. 😅 :(

Yes Sir,

When I was younger in my early teens, I always worked nearly always full time doing something.

I never liked working on cars much but I liked having dough.

I walked into a car repair shop once, I think I was 14 or so, I told the guy I needed work. He said no, I told him let me work for you, if I don't work well, don't pay me. He hired me with that understanding.

He paid me....

I learned most things I know that way.
