Good morning from ATX. Currently 70°F and clear. Today's high expected around 91°F. Received rain showers yesterday afternoon. Warmed up immediately thereafter.

Cats looked good yesterday. Balanced attack. Glad Ray Davis on our team. Man, can he chew up yards or what? Next up: Commodores in NashVegas.

Chores await later this morning. Heading out for a walk in a few.

Wishing all an awesome Sunday.

Good morning folks.

The Cats looked better last night. But how would you know against Akron? Sorta weird starting a season with three cupcakes these days. It seems like most teams have at least played a conference team and, or a major team from outside the conference. But maybe it’ll pay off.

Reds win, so tied for a wild card slot with two weeks to go. With the Giants sinking and the Phillies holding their margin it feels like a 4-way race for two spots.

Wish I had a better feeling about the Bengals playing the Ravens. I’m afraid Burrow isn’t quite there yet.

Have a good day folks.

Morning Legionnaires!

59° this morning with a high of 88° expected. Next week or so, temps to be 60's in the morning and high 80's to low 90's for highs. Perfect time for some fishing if I could get my truck back from Ford. May just have to go with my hoopdie (2005 Kia Sportage) to areas that have gravel roads leading in because the itch is getting strong.

Giving a C overall for UK's performance yesterday and that might be a little generous since it was Akron after all. O-line still needs to shore up and if it does, our offense will do well. Leary can throw if given time and the running backs can scoot if they have a lane./hole.

Come on Bengals. Good job Reds.

It is Sunday folks, slow down, relax, and enjoy the day.

God Bless.

Good morning all,

Sitting here waiting for My Darling to get back from church. The BB stayed with us last night. He is sleeping but when My Darling gets here, she will make his banana pancakes and we will go to the later service so the BB can go to Sunday school. He likes it. Then he has a T-ball game.

When I get back I plan to start mudding my garage walls so I can paint them. Bought a five gallon bucket. The builder never puts finish mud on the garage walls... almost kind of a rip off. I need some more exercise and I never could stand unfinished garage walls so....

Have a fine day. Think about The Lord on this Lord's Day....

Happy Sunday to you D-Leaguers. It is cloudy and 66.7°F on our way to 77° with a 60% chance of rain. My grass needs the rain bad.

ESPN must have set a worlds record in the number of commercials you can cram into a college football team during the UK Akron game. It was bad. They kept advertising the Noon game over and over.

I am glad the Cats won, but they did not look SEC good in my book.

Game is not over yet, but how many times this year have we seen the Reds with a small lead have the opposition at 2 outs with runners on and then load the bases with a walk. Next batter wild pitch which scores a run and then that batter gets a hit scoring two. Mets lead 3-1 in the third. Seems as if the coaching staff has them pitching to get them to chase but, it has hurt them more then helped imo.

Just looking at the remaining 9 games left, I'm struggling to find a game that the Cats won't be the underdog. Brutal schedule as always.

Good morning folks. Settling into the work week.

Sunday was a bad day all around for fans of Cincinnati sports teams. The less said the better.

My wife is back from nearly a week in NYC looking after a sick aunt. It doesn't look good. The less said about that the better, at least for now.

Heading into the first of a typical ugly Monday slate of virtual meetings, so I will catch you all alter.

Good morning folks.

Staying dark later these days. We’re supposed to have a clear, cool day eventually.

Reds got a big win. And just as importantly these days virtually all the other Wild Card contenders lost. So, hope lives another day.

And, talking about baseball drama - this one’s for Bernie. After TEN failed attempts Adam Wainwright got win 199 last night! He’ll have maybe three shots at the elusive 200…

Heading for work. Hope you all have a good day.
Waino got 200 tonight. His best game of the year. seven shut out innings against the Brewers. The last few starts, they have been playing a better defensive team and they helped him tonight. Btw, Molina flew in for the game and his replacement Contreras homered for the only run of the game.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 74°F and clear. Wind from south. Today's high expected around 95°F. Heat dome making a comeback

Ate KFC original last night. Watched "The Forger (2022)". Cool German language film with subtitles. Based on a true story.

Leaving out for a hike in just s few. Y'all have a good one.

Good morning folk. Cool and clear in the east. I love this weather. Along with the 20 pounds I lost (goal of 33 so hold the applause) it makes you feel energized.

Bernie, I saw that about Wainwright. Congrats to him and Cardinal fans. I saw that before him only Gibson and a guy from the 20s and 30s ever had 200 wins for the Cardinals, which mildly surprised me. But then I looked it up, and no Red has 200 wins wearing Cincy uniforms. Guys like Eppa Rixey and Paul Derringer were well over 200 wins, MOST with Cincinnati, but then finished their careers elsewhere. Jim Maloney was dominant for a few years then blew out his arm. Odd.

As for the Reds, last night’s win has them once again in a playoff spot “if the season ended today” but I’d rate them still a long shot. Probably have to win something like eight of the last 11. But it is fun for now.

Hope it is a good day for all.

He could have easily won quite a few more except for injuries. He missed all or most of 4 seasons, one with an injury while swinging a bat. Two seconds and two thirds in Cy Young voting.

Another Waino tidbit I just read. Win #100 was 1-0 against the Reds, 7 innings, 3 hits allowed. Molina homered for the only run. Win #200 was 1-0, 7 innings and four hits. Molina replacement Contreras homers for only run. Odd facts dept.
