Took Anatolia (The Monster) in for her annual visit to the vet this morning. Everything good and she weighed in at 141lbs. Heavier than my 17-year-old daughter and just 8 lbs lighter than my wife. That is the reason I call her the monster. Vet and her assistant just sat on the floor and gave her the check up from there. She (The Monster) just laid at their feet soaking up the attention. Other than size, there is nothing scary about her as she is a big ole baby.
Ever heard of VAS - vaccine associated sarcoma? Some folks think some of the shots vets give (mostly rabies, but also others) can cause cancer at the injection sites. Jan lost a cat to it. I have heard some vets will not give rabies shots to their pets. Thought you might be interested.

Good morning folks.

Staying dark later these days. We’re supposed to have a clear, cool day eventually.

Reds got a big win. And just as importantly these days virtually all the other Wild Card contenders lost. So, hope lives another day.

And, talking about baseball drama - this one’s for Bernie. After TEN failed attempts Adam Wainwright got win 199 last night! He’ll have maybe three shots at the elusive 200…

Heading for work. Hope you all have a good day.
Got back a earlier than I thought. A Cards asst hitting coach just resigned to take a job as an asst hitting coach for a college women's softball team. What a joke the Cards have become!

Must be Uncle Ken. :)

Well tomorrow is the big day for us, it's our first Arts And Craft show! We've got over 100 pieces that I have made, if we sell half of them we are going to be very happy!!!!
What show are you attending? Jan likes to attend shows with her shades, but we have been extra busy this year and have not done much. She usually does pretty good at the Worlds Longest Yard sale (the 127) at one of the bigger stops. Some of the stops have 100 or more vendors. It is over 600 miles long.

I'll try again, it's in Greenville,KY hour and half from Paducah. Look up Squash and Gobble. Over 200 vendors. We have to be there at 6 to start setting up, hours are 9-4 tomorrow

Good luck with it. It takes us 4 or 5 hours to unload and set up and the same when we leave, so she mostly does multi-day events that have large vendor spaces. I tease her that she carries more than most lighting stores.

Y'all try coming to it sometimes, if not setting up just make a day. I'm lucky this year, our trout fishing trip is next week, usually it's the same weekend

Good morning from ATX. Currently 74°F and partly cloudy. Chance for rain around noon. Today's high may reach 86°F.

Game Day! Akron Zips visit Kroger Field today. Hopefully kicking off at 7:30 pm EST. Go Cats!

Hiking to grocery store later this morning. Need some more tortillas for huevos rancheros. Been using extra-large eggs lately. Finished product is massive. Also looking at medium salsa.

Wishing all a winning Saturday. Go Cats!

Yes, my wife and I were discussing this and about how things were in the old days when people living on farms and small communities did not have vets and never gave shots to their animals and there did not seem to be a lot of problems that we are aware of anyways. We have had many dogs and just recently cats and only one (dog) has died of cancer at the early age of 6.

We have been experimenting with a few of our animals as one of our 4 dogs and 2 of our three cats have never been to a vet since we have had them, and they seem to be doing ok. They are all rescue animals and had vets visits while in the rescue centers but not since we have had them and that has been over 5 years for the dog. The cats run free so they have access to a lot of areas and so far, so good.

Did the vet recommend you fatten her up.?

Man,

I am drunker'n a monkey....On THREE Yuengling's....Just wow. My Darling is making me a hamburger shortly. Cleaned my office carpet and three rugs along with our bedroom... The rest is that fake flooring... I feel better as I finally got the part for my carpet cleaner that the punk swiped. Even Bissell didn't have the part but my carpet cleaner is warranted until 2025 which was cool and they shipped me the part free of charge. (Real nice of them.)

And how was your day? I'd drink another Yuengling but I don't have any more. DANG!!! It is the day for a good "nice" drunk. I FEEL Good da da da da da da da..
