Yep. I had never heard of it.Had to look Lamington up. Looks good, now all I have to do is find a place around here that sells them. Should not be hard, these people around here love to eat and eat whatever is put in front of them.

Sherry and I are in our 10th house and three were new. I know what you are going through. Often it is little things but there are enough that it becomes a good project. Our last house in Jacksonville had a leaky fireplace. Sherry kept plants in it to pick up some of the water. It took six months to get that corrected.Good morning all,
It has been what it's been. (That is all I will say about that.) (I am not Forrest. I "ain't".)
Just amazes what some call concern. (Nothing about this forum.) I continually have to keep looking for the humanity and it gets harder to find. (Thanks to this forum I am able to see some knowing it still exists.) How people let themselves do some of the things they do....
I am starting in to the fixes our new home requires from the builder. Several significant items. It will take me a few weeks to fully document and present things. We shall see. (These are the "easy" things to do.)
I have to duck back to work but I am lurking. God Bless you all and I know God will reward and comfort you here. Look for his blessings....

Completely blanked at the ponds today. No bites, no bumps, no jumps. Did not see one bass leap out of the water this morning.
Great. But that lower glass' contents' texture makes me thinks of things other than smoothies.New blender kicks major ass on smoothies.

Let the games begin! Coach potato games that is. #Me too! Will be watching the Reds game shortly.Morning folks. It is a sunny 76.2°F and we are supposed to get to 85° for a high. Yesterday it was supposed to get to 81°F but made it to 85. So I suggest that we will top out at about 88°.
I was a very lazy boy yesterday. I may be very lazy again today.

Sott's HOF plaque features a Cardinals cap. I had wondered as I think he was upset with the Cards over the way his injury was treated when he left. BTW Pitino recruited him for UK in hoops.Good morning D-League.
Sunny and mild in the east.
Taking it easy this morning after a long hike yesterday.
Reds go back-to-back-to-back to win yesterday.
Today, Cincy’s old 3b man, Scott Rolen, goes into the Hall of Fame. I think he played for other teams or team as well, but still glad to see a guy go in I watched from the seats in GABP.
Hope you all have a good day.

I thought I might hear from you on Rolen, Bernie. Yes, the bulk of his achievements were in St Louis so that’s fitting that he’d wear a Cards cap.Sott's HOF plaque features a Cardinals cap. The first MLB game I ever saw, Boyer missed a ground ball a small kid like me could have caught. Probably unfair of me, but I never got over it. Part of the time, the Cards had the MV3 as the announcers used to say. Edmonds, Puhols and Rolen. That cost him some votes. His overall numbers were hurt by the injury. He was never the same afterwards. The saber metric number that says you are a likely HOFer is 100 and his score is 99, so he is not top of the class. His last 5 or 6 years would have likely helped his overall numbers had he been healthy.I thought I might hear from you on Rolen, Bernie. I was a-bit surprised he made the Hall. No single statistic really jumped out. He had fewer hits than Ken Boyer, a lower life time batting average and a few more home runs, for example. And Boyer at his peak was a League MVP, which Rolen never was. And Boyer never made it. But Rolen always seemed like a good guy so I’m happy for him.
Bernie, I’m still pissed that my boyhood favorite Vada Pinson never got any serious consideration for the Hall of Fame. Despite tailing off late in his career he had nearly 2,800 hits, around 260 HR, stole 300-plus bases and was a gold glove center fielder on an era when the NL had Mays, Aaron, Clemente, Robinson, etc. He’s hurt in sabermetrics by the fact he didn’t walk much. Hell, I never went to Crosley to see him walk, but I did see him patrol centerfield like an artist of the game. The first MLB game I ever saw, Boyer missed a ground ball a small kid like me could have caught. In all of sports, baseball and third base in particular was my first love.
His score is 95, so he is close. I was a Card fan, but I also checked the Reds boxscores to see what Vada did. I was at one game where Jim Brosnan (also an author) was warming up. There weren't many people at the game, so his fastball sounded like a cannon popping in the catchers glove. Ever read anything by him?Bernie, I’m still pissed that my boyhood favorite Vada Pinson never got any serious consideration for the Hall of Fame. Vada never came close to making the HOF, and I’m sure someone can make the case that he didn’t deserve it. But that won’t convince me.
Oh yeah. The Long Season is a minor baseball classic —sort of paving the way for Bouton’s Ball Four though no where near as controversial. And of course I remember him from my very early years as a Reds fan.His score is 95, so he is close. I was a Card fan, but I also checked the Reds boxscores to see what Vada did. Pennant Race was about the Reds Winning in 61. When traded to the White Sox, they told him no more books, so he retired.Oh yeah.
