That is him. Anita graduated high school, Caverna, with Sherry in 1966.I don't think so Sir. I knew him when he lost most of his hair on top if that was him but the Jim I knew wore a mustache. His wife was Anita and had children Tommy (Tommy passed away as well.), and Lori. His wife's last name before married was Daniels.

And this is me and her at one of the classes get to gathers in October 2021:![]()
Jim's father was the recipe keeper for Heaven Hill.
Yeap. Jim, Anita, Bert and Sherry were always together until I was moved out of town in 1976 and then we would only see each other on class get togethers et.al.Yes Sir,
That for sure is her. I have been to their home many times. Knew their children well. I even had a key to Jim's office for years. We kind of traded services when I had my bug business. i enjoyed my time knowing him. That sure didn't look like Jim though. Tommy worked for me a little off and on when he was younger. Jim's daughter Lori married a preacher. It wasn't long after that I sold my business but I'd make trips to see Jim.
Deceased DFIL was from Marion County on other side of the county from that church & Loretto: Gravel Switch.Yeap. Jim, Anita, Bert and Sherry were always together until I was moved out of town in 1976 and then we would only see each other on class get togethers et.al.
Jim was born and raised Catholic and he ended up being a Baptist. It usually goes the other way. He often took us to Holy Cross near his fathers house, it was the first Catholic church west of the mountains.

Stay cool Austin. Texas is getting fried this week.Good morning from ATX. Currently 81°F and cloudy. Humid with a south wind. Today's high expected around 100°F.

Those rookies are making some noise.I just read a wire story that after sweeping the lowly Royals, the Reds are now proclaiming themselves, "America's Team."
That's bold talk for a bunch still under .500. Why does it feel like Custer proclaiming himself "America's General" just before heading out to the Little Big Horn?
That said, they are fun to watch this year. And I'd rather have them over confident than expecting to lose every night like some recent Reds teams.
Stay cool Austin. Texas is getting fried this week.
It is 62.4°F and we are getting hot, just not Texas hot, 87° with a 10% chance of rain. I hope we get all 10 of the percentages.
Nothing is scheduled to happen here today. The biggest drama will be what we fix to eat.
You all ahve a good Thursday.
Daughter took these pictures just a short while ago. The first one is just over my neighbor's and my house to the northwest. The other two are from a video screen shot and are just beyond a neighbors shop.

You don't have to convince me.Sir,
I lived in San Antonio seven years, I always tell people, in many places in the summer you can fry an egg on the road. In Texas they fry steaks.... Just a different kind and level of hot...
EdlC is starting to understand that MLB pitching and AAA pitching are two different things. Those rookies are making some noise.
I think RL is pretty dang good, at least in Flo, Ky,Doing lobster tomorrow at the only place around here. Red Lobster. My wife and I do it every year on our anniversary. Daughter is glad too because she loves lobster.
Sorry. That's amazing damage. Be safe.Storms going through with more tonight. Tornado warnings so we are on the ready this time. I put the Sportage (damaged in the last storm) in the shop and parked the truck behind it with just the back of the bed sticking out. My wife was on her way home from work driving in the storm because they would not let them off early even though they knew it was coming. She was caught in it and baseball size hail hit her 2017 Nissan Rogue. Windshield is busted in three places on the passenger side. That is 2 windshields that we will have to get replaced because my F150 got cracked on the last surprise hail storm. The Rogue now looks like a blue golf ball with all of the dents. A coworker of hers said that her SUV was totaled from the storm the other day and she was given $12k for it and they kept it.
With baseball size hail I could get some batting practice in. Would definitely need a helmet though.
I’m all in for that. When I was a kid you all called us River Rats and we called you Cakes —but I ended up with quite a few friends from Ft. Thomas -Highland Heights.Grovers & Highland Heightsers need to jointly celebrate whatever we can wrt the Reds. 👍
Please, do not conflate HH people with Cakes. We couldn't stand them either. We be in Camel Land. I took care of some Cake yards in HS. I didn't call y'all River Rats. I just thought you smelled bad.I’m all in for that. When I was a kid you all called us River Rats and we called you Cakes —but I ended up with quite a few friends from Ft. Thomas -Highland Heights.
Wow. What a small world. I lived next door to a family named Yeager in the Grove. Their oldest daughter who was several years older than me was John Freppon’s fiancé. I remember the day we got the news he had been killed in Vietnam like it was yesterday. Please, do not conflate HH people with Cakes. We couldn't stand them either. We be in Camel Land. He be 6 six years older than you, I think, but did you know John Freppon who was killed in Vietnam?
Damn. This makes me ill still 55 years later.Wow. What a small world. I lived next door to a family named Yeager in the Grove. Their oldest daughter who was several years older than me was John Freppon’s fiancé when he died. I remember the day like yesterday.
Yeah. Her name was Nancy Yeager and she did take it hard. They were enough ahead of me in school I only knew John as an older guy I’d see at the neighbor’s house. I was in the 7th or 8th grade when John was killed.Damn. This makes me ill still 55 years later.
John Freppon's cousins are mine on their mother's side (Goetz). I knew John fairly well. He visited our joint cousins in the summers and we played together. Likeable guy. I attended his funeral. Was with my Freppon cousins just this past Sunday at our annual family picnic. I knew nothing of his fiance till now. She must have taken it really hard. I don't know what else to say. So sad/upset right now. But thanks.
I've seen it too. Some 40 years ago. Saw another guy I knew also: John Becker of Cold Spring.I’ve look up his name on the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Very tragic.
Yep. I lived in Houston, but we could only get the steaks to rare. Not well done!Sir,
