Happy 231st Birthday, Kentucky !!!
This is Cal next year when players get into foul trouble:Cal is channeling his inner Norman Dale.
And later, GM.Agreed. Issel spent many years as player and later coach for Denver, He led Nuggets to first-ever 1st round upset of #1 seed by a #8 back in '94.
No rain here at the house in quite a while. I watered the garden the last two evenings. Not much in the forecast for several days in the future either. We did not get one drop of rain Sunday or Monday and we could use some. Plus it beat the predicted 79 and got into the low 80's.
That is good therapy.Good morning and Happy Friday from ATX. Currently 71°F and partly cloudy. Today's high expected around 91°F.
Drank first beer last night since December 18th. Lovely tasting Yeungling draft.
Wishing all a nice day and great start to your weekend.

Fishing report:
Fished three ponds this morning with the first (Bald) not producing a thing. The second one (Miner road Twins) gave me a catch on the very first cast. Was in my waders needing to hit a spot far away and hit the spot, spot on. As soon as the lure hit the water a bass hit it. Fought with it for a moment and then it spit out the hook. As I continued to retrieve the lure another bass hit it as it got close to me so, I pulled that one in. One cast, 2 hooks and one haul. Nothing more after that so I moved on to Natches where I had 2 hooks and two landed so, today's score: Warrior-Cat 3--Largemouth Bass 1. Nothing big enough to brag about. The biggest being about a pound and a half.
Sorry if this has political leanings, but I thought it was important.

Outrageous! Children's Choir Stopped Mid-Performance While Singing National Anthem at US Capitol, Capitol Police Claims it is a Form of "Demonstration" (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit | by Jim Hᴏft
In a shocking turn of events, the Rushingbrook Children’s Choir was interrupted and stopped while singing the National Anthem in Statuary Hall at the United States Capitol.www.thegatewaypundit.com
Everything seemed fine until I vacationed on Cumberland Plateau and Nolin Lake area, April 21-30. Folks posted interesting reflections here. Folks had a good time. Folks enjoyed themselves. Not complaining about those here posting. I do enjoy reading them but we sure seem light where posts are concerned. I know SC is around but not posting, Any word from Don, I know he hasn't posted in a long while but I thought I saw where he was still kicking. I do hope he is okay. I know another is posting in other areas and some come and go but..... This thread is homey to me... I post a few times here and there and try to spread likes in other threads to the posters here but I don't hit the other threads like I do this one. (To some that may be good or bad.) Take care...
The Cats leadership does concern me and has for a long while. Seems just criminal what has occurred and seems to still be going on... I will shut up....
As I prayed (just now) and ask God that you have more than just 14 months or so (for the sake of family and friends) I also know that it is his will not mine so, fight the good fight until it is time and God Bless.Good morning from ATX. Currently 73°F and partly cloudy. Expecting 91°F for a high. AC just a blasting. Ugh!
Random thoughts:
- Got my old Dell i7 running. Upgraded hard drive to SSD. Small drive, just 128 GB. Plan on installing Virtual Box, Open Office and perhaps different browsers. I'll be taking it on trips.
- Might haul cans to metal recycle later this morning. Could use a few extra $.
- Watched Natalia Grace over past few evenings. Crazy stuff.
- Going for a walk around 6 am. This past half-year has been slow. Reason: those homeless bums copied my methods.
- Daughter read some of the stuff I posted in Political thread. She now calls me a shitposter.
Wishing all Happy Saturday. Take care.

Arrrrgggghhhhmmmmm, fishing.Good morning everyone.
I'm still staying busy this time of year. I'll be kayaking/fishing with my wife, BIL, his grandson & his girlfriend. I can't recall what I've updated you all about so won't risk repeating myself today. But, who knows what I'll do tomorrow.
The above post about the National Anthem at the Capitol is just unbelievable even with today's standards. Sickening.
I hope everyone has a great day.
ThanksGood morning folks.
Austin, I hope the lord has plans for you that will take many more than 14 months to unfold. People like you are indispensable, and we need you around as long as possible. I missed the abuse you described above. Not surprised. Along with the fine folks this board attracts some sorry people. I tell myself they come here to instigate from rival programs and are not true Kentuckians. I hope I’m right.
Clear and hot today. Taking my long Saturday walk. Then the Commander in Chief has a long list of outdoor tasks for my son and me as she tries to make our property perfect ahead of a graduation party for our recent graduate. Sometimes I miss my lower-working class town in Kentucky where I grew up, and people accepted a certain amount of good-natured squalor, like the junk car that was too nice to haul away but too expensive to fix —right now. But someday…
Hope you all have a good day.
Since the abuse didn't happen to me (or you), I guess it wasn't so noticeable to us. It's easier not to notice the pain when the hammer hits someone else's finger. I didn't catch it either. I'd hope it was just a misunderstanding that got out of hand or someone having a bad day.Good morning folks.

Question for anyone with knowledge of foundations. Should you buy a house with steel floor jacks under it(16 of them)? No noticeable rot in wood under the house. Roof is old, but nothing easily seen as a problem. A roof vent was repaired at one time. No cracks noticeable in foundation.
Thanks, helpful info.Sir,
It really depends on the sub surface of the ground.(clay, rock, sand,...) If asking generally, I'd walk away....
Edit: (From me 20-25 years working under structures in Kentucky.) Part of what I did was to install those type systems. In basements and mostly crawl spaces...
Is there any evidence of ground movement? There are companies that specialize in these things. My SIL has big problems with ground movement. It is caused by water. She just spent $14,000 on putting in 40 foot long pilings to get to base rock to stabilize her house. Flood plains cause this problem.Question for anyone with knowledge of foundations. Thanks. We are house shopping and this was a house we looked at. There were drainage problems at one time, that appear to be corrected. Don't know about ground movement. Is there any evidence of ground movement? There are companies that specialize in these things. My SIL has big problems with ground movement. It is caused by water. I think it may be prudent to check for ground movement. The fact that there are no cracks noticeable in the foundation is a good sign that all is well.
