Broadcasting live from Texas Oncology. Currently have internet. I can work from this location tomorrow and Friday. Ah, the miracles of modern medicine and technology.

Thank you, all for the well wishes. Currently receiving pre-med anti-nausea drugs. Serious stuff begins later today.

Wishing y'all an awesome day.
Again, best wishes.

Good Morning D

A nice day ahead with a current temperature of 54°. There will be sunshine all day as it gets to 81°. I enjoy this time of year most of all. Pool temperature is 85°

Still SMH over last nights game. We are not the same program we once were and you can see it in the face of the fans. They started leaving with 5 minutes left in the game and whole sections were empty in minutes. Hard to watch that.

I trust all are well and prayers for Austin as he begins treatment. The Lord knows he is a good man and we wish him and his family the best. Always.

Very nice. Where is that? Don't recall a FL beach with palm or any trees.

I will not comment on the Cats. They are in real danger of missing out on the NCAA.

Damn, you are one of the few people on this site I look forward to what you have to say post game...but I understand it was so ugly it's tough to talk about.

A few things I have to say, the second half was an abomination...our sloppiness with the ball in the first 4 to 5 minutes of the second half just gift wrapped them 8-10 points right out of the gate.

We cut it a few times to 5 or 6 points and every time they would score, we couldn't get stops. They were basically shooting nothing but layups. Whoever told Toppin he needs to shoot 17 footers or beyond is doing that kid and our team a disservice...his stat line doesn't look awful but I actually thought he was killing us at critical moments.

If you perform well you should be rewarded with more minutes, why would Collins stay here another year? Scores 7 points in 8 minutes and doesn't see the floor again...why work hard and try to improve if your coach is just going to play his favorites?

Fredrick played 21 minutes...0-4 from the field, no rebounds, one assist...it's not like he is a lock down defender...if he isn't hitting shots he is worthless out there. If he hits a 3 or two early on I might keep in there but most games he gives you nothing.

But the way we were playing defense none of that matters, they could easily get in the lane...throwing lobs, getting layups...that 2nd half was one of the worst defensive halves of Kentucky basketball I have ever seen.

Yes. But now that you ask, is it "Palm" Beach? i really don't know as haven't been there. It's not like I've vacationed in FL much, maybe 7-8 times.
I understand. Many people in America who come to Florida fly down to Orlando, go to Disney World and then fly back home. Everything they see is man made fantasy land.

Others fly to South Florida to the Miami and Ft Lauderdale area and all they experience is New York South and crowds of people wandering around. City people enjoy that.

The picture below is about 6 miles from my house and it is very wooded with no habitation.

Caladesi and Honeymoon Island are off the beaten path and you can lay back without the crowds and commercialism. No building is allowed on these islands. Florida has 1,350 miles of coast.

One of the most relaxing vacations I ever had was in Mexico Beach before it was demolished by Hurricane Michael.

Thanks much.

My daughter and SIL have settled into their apartment in Huntsville AL and are liking the area. We plan to go down this weekend and visit. Does anyone who lives in or knows the area have any recommendations on restaurants, sites to see, etc?

When My Darling and I were there last, in 2015 or so I was not impressed with the amenities. May have changed... hopefully so. We have some good friends we were in Korea with that we talk to regularly that like it a bunch. Surely they have upgraded the "to do's" around the joint. Have a great time...

I've only been there once, but as someone already said, The space and rocket center is there. Each Sept and April the World Racking Horse Celebration in nearby Decauter/ Priceville is held if you like horses. My sister won Racking Horse Woman of the year a few times.

I am sitting on pins and needles for the report. ;)

God Bless Austin. Get and stay healthy.
I pigged out for dinner.

5 oz cold smoked salmson
whole cucumber sliced with pepper and horseradish sauce
20 cherry tomatoes
12 oz cooked cabbage
8 oz plain yogurt with small touch of maple syrup.

Thanks. Life is good.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 40°F and clear. Today's high projected around 72°. Chilly start, but gorgeous finish.

One week after ice storm, 300 customers remain without power. Crazy.

After first day of chemo, my voracious appetite remains intact -- so far. Huge reason was 10 mg steroids though port yesterday. Feeling great this morning. Today is another day. Must report to Texas Oncology clinic by 1 pm today for more chemo. Stay tuned.

I had a freaking blast in the TX Oncology parking garage yesterday morning before upstairs facility opened. For 20 minutes, wearing my +25 year-old BDU Gortex jacket, boonie hat and carrying walking stick, I circled parking garage singing Panzerlied or German Tank Crewmen's song in German.

I was 33 years old again, enjoying camaraderie and fellowship with German Bundeswehr Panzertruppen out at Grafenwöhr range complex. Tripped a few folks out who waited in their cars and SUVs for facility opening. Heh. So what the heck.

Loss to Arkansas at Rupp night before last still smarts. Ouch.

Gotta run and harass/pester couple folks up in Political thread before I start work. Y'all behave and have an awesome day.

That would have been funny to see. I would have liked to have seen the reactions of others in the garage. Police on speed dial on each cell phone.

Do any of you remember this:

I am an American Soldier. I am a warrior and a member of a team. I serve the people of the United States, and live the Army Values. I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit. I will never leave a fallen comrade. I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills. I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself. I am an expert and I am a professional. I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy, the enemies of the United States of America in close combat. I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life. I am an American Soldier.

How about this one:

I am an Army civilian – a member of the Army team. I am dedicated to our Army, Soldiers, and civilians. I will always support the mission. I provide leadership, stability, and continuity during war and peace. I support and defend the Constitution of the United States and consider it an honor to serve our Nation and our Army. I live the Army values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage. I am an Army civilian.
