Wake Up Legionnaires! I'm Up!

My wife's cat woke her up at 3:00 this morning so, my wife woke me up about 15 minutes later and said she cannot go back to sleep. She started massaging my shoulders and back and figured that would be a nice way to wake me up. She started coffee and I ask her why she woke me up and she said since I will be going fishing this morning, she figured I would not mind. Then she said that she would go back to bed after I left for fishing. Go figure the mind of a woman.

@MdWIldcat55 I see you were called out in Rupp Rafters yesterday. Have fun.

Which brings me to another point for anyone to answer. Why Rupp Rafters instead of Rupp's Rafters.

Oh and by the way, my wife's mother and brother are not coming over this weekend. She told them she was too tired and they could come over next weekend (mother's day). I told her that it would not matter, my instructor wants to go to a karate tournament in OKC next Saturday with my student so, I will go fishing on Sunday. Heh, heh, heh.

I really love this woman's music. She has had a career few artists can match

That's virtually every day Warrior. Rupp"s Rafters is a cess pool right now. Ah well, you can't have free speech without some excesses.

Hope everyone is doing well in the D-League. Beautiful day here in the east.

On my walk today a guy about 35 walking a good looking Labrador pup looks at me and says, "Go big blue." He'd spotted my UK hat and told me he was from Louisville, but had family in Grant County. We had a nice long chat, about the Cats of course. He's ab out where I am -- concerned and upset but still of the opinion the best chance to turn it around is for Calipari to recapture his mojo rather than to tear it down and rebuild. I guess we'll all see, but it was nice to meet another member of the BBN in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Right now, if nothing else changes I still think the Cats will have a better team than last season. They lost 6 players (so far), TyTy, Grady, Mintz, Brooks, Hopkins and Allen. Hopkins had one good game and Allen was not a contributor. They're bringing in 4 (so far), Wallace, Livingston, CJ and Reeves. If the newcomers live up to expectations then they'll be better than the ones that left. Still an experienced team too. Oscar will improve on his outside shooting. Collins will hopefully gain some weight and strength. Wheeler will learn from his mistakes. Toppin gets better every year. The bench won't be as deep (yet). We'll see. I'm trying to stay optimistic.

Wallace- higher rated than TyTy
CJ- better 3-point % than Grady and better defender
Livingston- most likely better than Brooks
Reeves- equal to Mintz?

Good morning, D-League!

It's a beautiful day outside. Hope everyone enjoys it to the fullest. Best to tune out the UK BASKETBALL noise and catch up on it when the demolition dust settles. There's always soap operas or catastrophe movies to watch, if you need a quick drama fix, rather than the quicksand/quagmire that you can wade into in that OTHER section of this board.

Who thought that the PADDOCK would one day be THE safer of the two zones on a UK message board? Maybe Cal is "he who shall not be named".... I don't know what to think of that. Ghostbusters quotes seem fitting here

"That's a big twinkie..."

"Dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria..."

Gonna go read Zechariah outside in the sun.

It is a beautiful day and I am going to continue to work outside. We traced the sprinkler system 10 zones and discovered I must replace 10 valves that control each zone. Plus 230' of PVC underground. 400' was OK but the rest was packed with sand that was pumped through the system when the well collapsed.

So I had my eggs and sausage and it is time to shut down and roll up my sleeves. I also have a whole bunch of mulch to put down too. Work Work Work. I actually love to work and sweat because I will have eternity to rest once I cross that river and meet Stonewall sitting in the shade.

Take care all and send us some rain. We appreciate it

Hello all, preparing for our trip in the morning. So looking forward to it as I think we are going to stay the week.

Taking our fishing equipment to include crab traps and clam rake. Out of state licenses are reasonable and we already know where to go.

Have a great day, me... Me and the BB have to clean my Darlings car....

Summerville SC or bust...

Edit: It will just be me and my Darling. Amazing as much as we love our family it will be since about 2017 since we have been left..... .. .alone.

Good morning, D, we start the Book of James in the morning.

BBUK you like arrowhead hunting? My son and his family are coming over today and we all are going, I want to hit the fields, but my daughter-in-law wants to hit the creek that is there, tons of river gravel there. If you know anything about them, have you ever seen a deep pink one? I found a chip that color.

Well, it's official, we are an old, retired couple!!!! Mrs. M made a haul yesterday!!!!! She got $535 worth of gift cards, 99% of them were from her customers, flowers, a mint set from one customer that he figured it up and she started in 1996, wind chimes, plus some more stuff, but nothing from Lowe's or Home Depot!!!!! She didn't know it, but they were putting a $110 for ever year she was there and then threw another in there and she walked away with a nice exit check!!!! If any of the D, knows about working at a bank, you know when you quit or go to another bank, you leave that day!!!!! Most of the time you don't get your stuff, you either have someone get it for you or someone will escort you to your stuff and watch you get it. So, they took her out to eat after the party and ask if she would stay on until they get someone trained (she gave them 11 weeks' notice) or if she would work part time!!!!! We have never heard if this!!!! She was and is a great worker who was highly respected, a couple of her customers cried yesterday!!!! Funny story, one customer came buy the drive-through, she told her she was retiring, she said the lady threw her hands up in the air and said, Oh LORD what am I going to do now!!!!!!

I hope the D has a great day and Prayers for the D!!!!!

Good morning from ATX. Currently 75°F and cloudy. Today's high expected around 87°F.

Day 23: We're nearly back to normal. Vet seemed optimistic yesterday about Summer's future. Based on blood tests, cancer possibility may have subsided for now. Her condition appears to have stabilized. Just continue feeding her right, exercise and she should be okay. Fingers crossed.

Derby Week: caught part of it back in 1982. Had a blast. Probably bigger now. Definite bucket list item. Y'all have fun.

Plan on working a few chores after bit. Wishing happiness and health for all our fellow D-League members.

Good morning! Well, I overslept this morning. No excuses, it just happened.

9 players are enough. That leaves us room for 5 guys at the end of the bench to make sure we meet the academic requirements for the team.

If I knew I was going to meet Oscar, I would put a hundred in my hand before I shook his. For old times' sake.

Drove my wife's car yesterday and it felt like a go kart. After driving my truck on that same road a couple of times this week, hers felt like I could have gone a 100mph around every turn.

I hit a golf ball yesterday, on a flat fairway, with no tail wind, that traveled 305 yards measured with GPS. To put that in perspective, it's like a blind squirrel finding a nut. On a beach. In Alaska.

Have a great Saturday!

Did you wake up yet?🤔😉🧐🪄

Good afternoon friends. It is sunny/cloudy 78.4°F here. My daughter and son in law are down. They are going later today to see Bon Jovi in Nashville tonight. My daughter is crazy about him.

Sometimes even I will find a nut on a beach in Alaska; however, the nut is a long way off the fairway! :)

@Sawnee Cat "I actually love to work and sweat because I will have eternity to rest once I cross that river and meet Stonewall sitting in the shade."

I had not thought of Stonewall's death in years. That man had an unshakeable faith in Christ. It was always inspirational to read his words. Now they revile him because he fought for the South.

It is sounding better. Best of luck to your pup. She is a pretty dog.

I go there occasionally to get an update on recruiting and to see what is going on.

Well, the fishing trip this morning mirrored my trips so far this year. Several strikes but no hooks. Blanked again. I use the larger stick worm lures so to avoid the tiny bass. I may have to go to smaller ones for a bit to get my confidence up.

Lucas is not from Kentucky, Can't it just be that he was offered more money and a higher position and took it? Not one of us knows the whole story, only the outline. What I do know, is that Cal will have no trouble at all replacing him with someone equal or better. Those kinds of guys with those kinds of credentials are everywhere.

Got most of the screened in porch cleaned up from the winter. Took my pressure washer to the carpet and it looks new again. There is going to be a party out there for Oaks and Derby. It will just be my wife and I, but we try hard.

Going to Lowes today to take back the English hinges and get something smaller and easier to deal with. I'll probably go out there tomorrow and work on the cabinet. Got to finish the porch and mow the grass today.

I get a lot done when I actually do something. Who knew?

Got a couple of things left to do on the porch. Mainly take some Pledge to all the wood and make it shine again. Grass is mowed and the weeds are ate. Productive day all around, and now, I drink.

Didn't take the hinges back but I tried. There were 6 people in front of me at the return line. There was only one guy manning the station and he didn't seem too adept. After about 5 minutes there were still 6 people in front of me. I just bought new hinges and knobs and brought the others back home to return another day.

I posted this on the Paddock but would like to let the D League know too because she was a Kentuckian.

Beautiful lady. I hope I'm wrong but it sounds like suicide. Died from mental illness? The Judds were going to be inducted into the country music hall of fame Sunday. Also they were going on tour again this Fall. Again, I hope I'm wrong.
