Good morning D-League

We have 63° and partly cloudy skies and this afternoon should reach a high of 74°.

Our governor was in the area yesterday at Weeki Wachee Springs to announce the state will be spending $481,000,000 to improve and protect water quality around the state. Of particular emphasis are the springs such as Weeki Wachee. This is state money, not a dime from the feds. This picture shows the mouth of the springs that form a river that flows to the Gulf. It is as clear as water can get

Good morning D-League. Tough night for the Cats. There were some things to build on, but it gets tough to keep putting off that moment when our patience is rewarded by winning performance.

But like most of the men here, I'm a father and a husband. Patience with things not quite being what I'd have them to be right now - and as a father especially, keeping the faith -- is what I do, and what I know you all do.

I'll echo 82 - RR is a gigantic embarrassment. I work with guys who are fans of Georgetown and Penn and Indiana and Syracuse and UNC-Cheats and Michigan State and Maryland and on and on. They all know about Rafters and dip in there to laugh at and make fun of Kentucky fans. I explain to them that at least half of the true idiots are Louisville or some other rival fans posting under a false flag. They don't see that on their fan sites because they aren't a big target.

I wish we had your Governor in charge of that boondoggle Infrastructure bill pass by Congress, Sawnee.

You were talking about the dolphin a week or so ago that had been maimed and was in a movie. Heard on the radio up here (can you believe that? must have been nat'l news) that it was really sick. Think they expected it to make it...but it was having problems.

Should have named that place "Clearwater" or something like that. Maybe "Clearwater Springs" even. I'm full of great ideas this morning

One reason, and a big one I think, RR is so big & so many outsiders check it out is that it's one of the few free sites around. I look at RR maybe 5X/yr. Never thought about till this, so may go take a look. Or not.

Good morning folks. Another sunny day but weather is supposed to move in tomorrow.

The refs helped Duke last night, but I don't know if they decided the game. I really get tired of Coach K ranting on them and nothing happens to Duke just some more questionable calls.

Yeah, Duke took 23 foul shots to Kentucky's 7. Big difference.

Not defending Duke or the refs (heaven forbid), but that is always one of our problems early in the season against good, more experienced teams. Every year we start out with 5, 6, 7 guys who have never played together so they struggle on defense. And being young, when they are out of position there is a lot of reaching and grabbing going on.

Years before AC was standard in cars someone came up with an idea this contraption would keep kids cool. I am thankful it fizzled out. All inventions are not cool

Reminds me of when the kids were little...was taking a corner on a green light in Gatlinburg...rear door wasn't latched tight...opened and my youngest was holding on for dear life. Probably 4 or 5 at the time.

This happened with my sister. My daddy had a 1951 Mercury and we had been over to the beach and were headed home.. I was 9 years old and my sister was 3. We were in the back seat when she suddenly opened the rear door and started to swing out. I grabbed her and pulled her back in the car. No seat belts then, no safety lock and the old Mercury had "suicide doors". It looked something like this. Those doors were dangerous. The next day daddy went down to the dealership and traded her in for a 2dr hardtop.

I think "Silver Springs" would be a good name for down there.

The refs gave them every benefit of doubt. Wheeler was hammered on each "blocked" shot. Oscar made a clean block and was called for a foul. One minute later he was hammered on a lay up and there was no foul. You could look back and see many examples of ref bias. One in particular was the one with TyTy. The dude fouled the hell out of him trying to get to the ball. Once he banged him enough that TyTy lost control of the ball, they call Washington for a foul?!?!?

That being said...if we would have shot like they did from 2, we would have easily won despite any of my perceived discrepancies. Since the entire point of the game is to score more points, they did better than we did. We lost.

That wasn't enough. I'm damned tired of my football team not tackling like I see other teams tackle each and every damn time I watch a game. I'm damned tired of watching my team miss shots from 3 feet and in that I see other teams routinely make. Am I asking too much for these 2 basic things? Both are ESSENTIAL to winning!

If I was the coach I would tell them to tackle at the legs or keep on running to the bus. I would tell them to make at least 2 layups before you even think about shooting a 3.

I may not teach responsibility, I don't know if anyone can, but I would definitely show who is responsible and who is not.

You sound like one of them grumpy old figures like Rupp or the Bear. You really should be ashamed and repent. No place in this world nowadays for these kind of practices. Keep it soft these days, can’t go hurting feelings and all.

I know, and I APOLOGIZE to any and everyone I could have possibly offended in any possible way at any possible time! This is a sincere apology that I mean in the most sincere way. Sincerely.

I agree, it looks like our guys are trying to make that running hit that knocks people off of their feet and makes the highlight reel instead of wrapping up and stopping their progress. We are not tackling any more, just hitting hoping to take them out.

Speaking of women...my wife knows about a chick that works at the golf course. She refers to her as my girlfriend. My wife put together a box of feminine stuff, soap, powder, etc...and told me to give it to her.
Now I have a wife that I don't want to have sex with because it hurts both of us, and a girlfriend who I just can't have sex with. Life is funny that way

I know what you're thinking and yes, I am the orange barrels on this remote stretch of highway.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 69°F and partly cloudy. Clearing later for a high of 75°F. Front moving in bring us down to 48°F.

Plan on hitting up BJ's Brewhouse for lunch and Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. May consider Golden Corral since it's located not far from BWW. Problem is crowds are crazy at Golden Corral on this day every year.

Wishing happiness and health for all our fellow D-League members.

Good morning all. Not much planned for the day...so I'll probably piddle in the garage and do one or two things out on the property.
It's 50 now in the Buckeye State...heading up to 62. Sunny now, but a pretty good chance of showers this afternoon. One forecast I saw mentions a chance of a bit of snow Sunday. Ugh. Not ready for the cold and snow. More Fall-like weather is preferable.

Y'all have a good day.
