Morning D Legionnaires!

Fruit cake yes, I am what I eat. Orange cake? Never had one.

Lonesome Dove? Nope. Never seen it.

Wife and daughter have been "hounding" me for another mutt. Have four already but 2 are on their last legs and they wanted one in the same or close to the same lineage as the big one we have that is getting on in age. I have been saying no for about a year now but, she showed me a picture of a litter of 8 (6 weeks old) that will be either killed by the farmer who does not want them or taken to the nearest shelter. The mother's face looks just like our big girl and is a Pyrenees. Our old girl is a Pyrenees mixed with a tank. She is muscular all over and stands like she is ready to take you on (95 lbs). Apparently these will be too because, they are mixed with a big boxer. The Shar Pei mix we have will probably have to be put down soon. Having many complications including we now think cancer so, I gave in. Got the mutt on Friday night while a few other people came in to take some of the other 8. Now the training begins.

Oh sleepless nights.

Lonesome dove AND open range are must see's if you like westerns..these are "tombstone" good

SMDH she looks woke...almost as good as this...

I wonder what % of the videos you see these days are 'staged'? I think it's pretty high. The first video....never met anybody that stupid who would not just close the door rather than walk around the car. And why take a video of someone getting in their car?
Second video...why is someone across the street just randomly taking a video of a girl walking her dog? And, again, never met anyone as stupid as that girl seems to be....even though she's a blond.

Edit....maybe not a blond, but still stupid.

Good Monday Morning D

It is 58°F and sunny, we will see a high of 68°. Chances of rain are 2% on this the shortest day of the year

After reading through the comments I am in the mood for a liverwurst sandwich with some strong mustard on it. I might even buy a loaf of light bread. For some reason it tastes better on light bread to me. Maybe a pickle or two or some cherry peppers on the side. Even a pickled green tomato.

I trust all have a nice day

Don't worry about Dracula this week Sir. You have him at bay.

Oh, and if good wishes and prayer were gold, you all would be Soros rich. I thank you all for ensuring I remember the good and decency in this world. Thank you... I pray your health is great and your families are content. God Bless you all...

Doubt that will happen, unless more of them walk. Hope I’m wrong.
I don't think so either. Cal will dig in against Allen because the fans are calling for him to play. Coaches, especially Caliipari, do not want to listen to the fan base.

I went to Uk when Herky Rupp was on the team and when the Cats were ahead by 20 the students would yell in the direction of Coach Rupp. Put in Herky, Adolph. He seldom did.

According to Ailine Landrum, Elvis ordered "a big breakfast consisting of two eggs, an order of bacon, a double order of toast, coffee, pancakes, a piece of chocolate pie, and a Pepsi Cola. The breakfast of kings, I reckon.”

Don't remember that at all. Loved Carson but didn't watch that often.
I rarely watched The Tonight Show after Carson left. Jay Leno just wasn't that funny to me. Several friends and co-workers recommended that I watch the Fruitcake Lady skits on Youtube. She died in 2006 at the age of 95 near Swanee's neck of the woods, Hudson, Florida.

The legends across America of Elvis and his junk food diets are numerous. Coney Island in Brooksville legend has it after Elvis ate a bunch of foot long chili dogs one of the cooks made Elvis his favorite snack. Fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches. The man had a reputation.

Kyle Tucker just put out an article that Cal is in a power struggle with key players on this team. Said more players may be leaving. Damn it’s a mess right now with our team

When Cal placated the team and recruits with that blm crap he lost the team. I stated that at the time and never doubted it would come to fruition.

The question: When has ANYONE heard of Cal having a power struggle with ANYONE on his teams?

The answer: NEVER....before now..(And these guys, pick anyone, are not Cal's usual high level recruits either. I can imagine him and Boogie now if Boogie was Boogie after Cal and his blm moment.) Cal and what he was/ had is history. (He can thank blm and his decision-making.) Blame no one else Cal... This "duds" on you.....

(Oh yeah, the UK fans will suffer... no biggie right...)

Looks like my chances of seeing the Christmas Star are about nil. Cloudy rainy day and it doesn't look like it's going to blow over. Forecast for tonight is more clouds.
Guess I'll just have to wait another 800 years, or whenever.

Darn,
It has been sunny here today but who knows about tonight.

Made a good day for the wife and me and our grandson Joshua. He and I spent time outside after going to Costco and getting our Christmas meat.

His Dad bought him an electric Jeep and we were hitting the road with it. It is in the garage charging right now. My Ole BOB (Big Ole Boy) had a good time. He doesn't like to come in though it was cold outside so I had to drag him after a while. All boy and nothing but a boy... Has a good spread to his shoulders and he is kind but on the wild side. (I'd worry if he wasn't a little wild.) I am thankful!

Like Mike Gundy at OK State who apologized for wearing a t-shirt. Inmates are running the asylum.
But unlike Gundy, who was wearing a conservative cable news shirt, Cal seemingly embraced all that crap to the point he blamed 'white privilege for getting him where he's at.

The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away. Cal still has his dough but won't have much else going forward. I guess that's something...

Do you remember this? It made he best grilled cheese sandwiches under the sun. When I was about 10 years old my Kentucky grandfather retired from the mines and he started getting commodities for some reason or another. No one thought he was poor because he had a large farm for the mountains and raised some nice horses. But he was eligible for commodity cheese and we sure enjoyed it. You couldn't buy it in the store. I would love to have a box of this today

I remember that as the best stuff going cheese-wise...

A chunk of that was good stuff!

Cal brought this on himself and may end up a mighty lonely man. I never saw a coach alienate a fan base like he has. And for what? Why would he even entertain doing such a thing. What was he thinking?

He’s got some major issues he has to address. Stuff that I don’t think his usual “tweaks” can solve. If you’ve noticed the man even looks bad in his interviews. This job has aged the hell out of the guy. I think if he would go back to roster builds like he did before he came here that people would be a lot happier and it would be a lot easier for him moving forward. With his buyout, he definitely will not be fired.
