I got to meet Wah Wah Jones at a football game years ago. Was especially cool for me since we are both from Harlan county. An extremely nice gentleman. How cool would have been to be him? Play for both Rupp and Bear Bryant. That's quite the life.
I imagine he had some great stories to tell.
I would have to see Inveraray Castle if I went to Scotland:I am on the same track. I have a friend who lives in Drummore, Scotland on the coast about 12 miles across the channel from Northern Ireland. He sent me loads of information on my family heritage as our people originated there. We call ourself Scot-Irish but over there they are know as Ulster Scots. Ulster, Northern Ireland.
I had a trip planned where I would fly in to Dublin, head over to Northern Ireland and catch the ferry to Scotland. I was going to spend a week there. From there we planned to head into England, go over to Paris and on to Normandy Beach. If we had a few extra days we were headed to Belgium and back then fly from Paris back home. I already had the tickets booked but then I got the spinal problem and it knocked us out of that. But it is still in my dreams.
I've visited Scotland three times. It's lovely during good weather, but can be miserable at times during the summer when a front blows through. I scuba dived Scapa Flow in 1984. My goal is hit up the Orkney's again and the Shetland's after this COVID crap subsides.Inveraray Castle would be one of the places I would have to see if I went to Scotland:
No we did not. Thankfully, we have stayed true to our beginnings. I know churches that have done as you said.Curious to know, but did your church 'change' in order to attract younger members? Seems that starting about 20 years or so ago, many churches thought they had to change the music, message, etc in order to attract new, i.e, younger members. To the point it's almost impossible these days to find a church that sings the old hymns.
I try not to be a curmudgeon, but some of the 'new music' I really don't care for. Not really songs, but the same 2 or 3 lines over and over.
We have been watching the Shetland TV series and the scenery is spectacular. No trees . They say the ancients cut them down for firewood and sheep will not let them grow in modern times.I've visited Scotland three times. The English also considerably deforested Scotland and Ireland for shipbuilding timber. We have been watching the Shetland TV series and the scenery is spectacular. No trees . They say the ancients cut them down for firewood and sheep will not let them grow in modern times.
Hopefully, but doubt it. Just don’t have any confidence in the freshmen anymore. Maybe they prove me wrong. That would be ok with me.Evening
Tonight we will see if our boys learned anything
They are playing at two different locations. Duke is playing at home against Michigan State. I am not sure where we are playing, I hope it is not in Kansas. So we should be good to go at 9 :30 unless OT of course

Quick whistle tonightTwo days is probably not enough to learn as much as they are needing. I give them till mid January. At least Duke is going down.
Keep Mintz and Sarr in the game. Period.
Agree. Tough loss. Ugh.I agree, but Mintz is not a pg. He is a shooting guard. We have no pg. Askew should have stayed in HS another year.

We ain't spring chickens anymore.

Good morning D League
And now for the daily weather report. Woke up to a chilly 34° with a strong cup of coffee. Still no heat in the house so I might break down and call the man. The house is so well insulated and will warm up as the sun comes out. But THIRTY FOUR IS COLD DOWN HERE. Winds are NNW at 9 mph. The humidity is 63% with no chance of rain. I'll head outside and see how the plants did last night. We didn't cover anything up, I think they will be OK. Our high will be 58°.
Trust all are doing well and COVID free.
Citrus needs plenty of sunshine in addition to warmth. It also thrives in sandy soil. You might consider some type of artificial sunlight lamp. I never had any luck growing citrus or an avocado long term without Florida sunshine.since you mentioned plants, I thought I'd mention my citrus plant that I'm attempting to nurture along during this colder weather. I have a "Meyer" hybrid tree that's supposed to produce small lemons and limes. I planted it last spring in a large pot and have seen some small bulbs developing, but am afraid that the fading sunlight and colder weather will end up killing the plant or stunting the growth. Do you know how I might be able to keep this thing alive through the winter?

But you can give it a try. If anyone can do it you can Kai.
How I imagine Rafters this morning:
Good luck. Growing citrus is hard even in Florida. There are diseases that attack, insects that destroy and of course freezes that kill. It is a full time job.Well, that doesn't sound good for my plant. I'll give it a try and see what happens.
