Listening to some Miles right now. Loved the guy before he started doing the fusion jazz crap. I was never a fan of that genre.
My social director threatened me with a 10" Chef's knife ONCE when I I was playing "21st Century Schizoid Man". I remembered her brother showing me the scar were she had stabbed him . . . so I put on some Dolly and she was fine listening to my favorite town tramp and I've been reasonably safe since. Just got finished watching Article 99 and am now watching Rules of Engagement. 2 very good movies.

I have been getting a lot of calls during the medicare open enrollment period. However, I have gotten a couple of calls for car warranties. I just tell them that I am so glad they called, and that I definitely want one. When they get to the point where they ask about my car, I tell them that it's a 1976 Vega, with 635,000 miles. They hang up without saying another word.
Once back in 1996 by the Gallup organization. I lived in Copperas Cove, TX at the time. Otherwise, no other occasion related to an election.

Last time we got hit by such severe weather happened back in 2007 or 2008.
Good thing we are just above freezing right now 34° because we are have more rain with thunder and lightning. Could have been a lot worse around here although my poor trees may not survive. Looks like some fall pruning is in order after it warms up and drys out around here.

It amazes me how trees and bushes are so resilient. I've seen them buried under multiple feet of snow or like in your case a lot of ice, and come back. As long as the tree branches don't crack and break, hopefully you'll be OK.
I just returned from a walk. We're right at 40°F with a cold northwest wind. Ha ha, very few folks out.
Another cool and dreary day in Ohio. Mid 40s with a misty rain and some fog. But, they say the sun will shine again later today. Some more chores around the house. Probably a week project....and then on to the next one.

Good morning D, nasty day here in the Berg. We are forecast for 2-4 inches of rain tomorrow, looks like OEC could get more than that!
Had breakfast for supper last night, scrambled eggs with Velveeta cheese in them, bacon, sausage, gravy and coffee! Mrs. M was well pleased with her supper when she got off work!!! Cooking a Flat Iron Steak for tonight!!!
Has any of the D, got a survey card from the Associated Press? It says it's a "nonpartisan" study to understand the views of voters. Told Mrs. M it was just a way to get you on every e-mail list in the country, but they will sent you $5 for doing it! If anybody gets one let me know, so I can see if the pin numbers match what I have.
I hope the D has a great day, going to try and do one thing positive for today!!!

Heavy rain coming in tonight and into Friday morning. 2-4+ inches expected with potential flooding along the Ohio River. Strong winds as well throughout Thursday. At least this will speed up the leaf raking, maybe even blow most of them to my neighbors yards.

I agree. We lost our power for 8 days during the ice storm of 2009. It actually felt warmer outside than it did inside the house during the day.
We were only out of power for about 5 hours on Monday so, things aren't so bad. However, my trees will probably need some help. Below is one in the backyard last year in snow. The next one is this morning's picture of the same tree.

When I was a kid, I absolutely hated breakfast food, now it's my favorite meal of the day. I've come to realize that a lot of the things I hated as a kid are the the things I like the most now.

I know some of you guys will get more rain than us, over the next 24 hours, but we are supposed to get 1 1/2 inches. A lot for us, since we are pretty wet already.
Yeah supposed to rain here most of the night and all day tomorrow. Just looked at the radar and there's a bunch coming up from the Gulf coast. We haven't had too much here so it's not too wet here.
When I checked the radar it looked like the Northern part of the band of rain over OK way was pink, so wonder if warrior is getting more ice. Hope not...think they've had enough.

No, temperature is above freezing right now and the winds have died down a bit so, I think we're good.
