Renewable seafood. I like the idea. Oh, I've never eaten stone crabs.
We humans work their little butts off.
Just saw where the expected high for tommorow is 56°, and the low 34°. Might get our first frost of the year.
I sure would like to serve you a big platter of them. Florida stone crab meat is flaky and white to off-white with a sweet taste. It is a delicacy

- We had 56º this morning at 0900. Nice day.
- Saw 2 Whitetail Does yesterday. This years.
- That is one reason the speed limit on our little road is 25mph. Some of these folk have to drive 40, I don't know why. We have runners, walkers, deer, old people, etc.
- The lawn mower did his thing today. He trims and blows the leaves off of everything.
- No news hardly.

People would think it was a drag strip in front of my house. Speed limit is 35, and most are going a good 25 mph faster.

I did some crabbing when I lived in Seattle. Mostly Dungeness crabs. The first time I noticed several flags/buoys floating on the waters of Puget Sound. I was told that residents would set out traps before they go to work, then boat out to their flags when they got home that evening and haul up the traps. Fresh crabs for supper.Well one of my favorite "food seasons" of the year is here. It is Stone Crab season and I live right in the middle of some of the best stone crabs on earth. I love these things with every fiber in my body and soul. Thank you Jesus for giving mortal men like me stone crabs

Well, had planned on getting a few outdoor things done on the property, but about the time I was ready to get out there....here came the rain. Guess the Good Lord thought we needed it. But maybe bad for some farmers. Corn and soy harvest time and there are still a lot of fields that haven't seen the combine yet. Now they can't do it while the corn/soy is wet. Maybe it'll dry by the weekend.
So, spent the day in the house doing a few things. Some paperwork, etc. As background noise been streaming old episodes of Gunsmoke and Combat all day. Love the old shows...hate the new ones.

Funny, back when it was on I was a young know-it-all fellow (as we all were at one time)...and I hated Gunsmoke. Hated John Wayne (my apologies to BBUK), hated oatmeal (ha)......now love all three.
Got about 13 seasons of Gunsmoke on DVD. Record it everday on METV.

Going out fishing this afternoon before the weather starts getting colder. Around about 70° for today as a hgh. Have one more grass cutting to do as well before I put things away for the winter. Tomorrow will be the cutting day.

The Mrs takes about a 4 mile walk every morning with a friend so she had to bundle up today.

Spectrum carries a network called Heroes and Icons. Every Saturday, they run Combat, Rat Patrol, and 12 O'Clock High. I record Combat, every week. One of my favorite shows when I was a kid.
There's a couple of 'channels' on YouTube that have all the episodes of Combat and 12 O'Clock High.
I'm surprised....somebody must have messed up the copyright back in the day.
From the 80's, which isn't that old to us, I really liked Spenser For Hire, starring Robert Urich and Avery Brooks, but you never see it in reruns.
The Mrs (she's a binge watcher ... ha) watched all those a few months ago either on Netflix or Prime, can't remember which...if you have either one of those.
Other than maybe a sporting event, can't remember the last time I watched network TV. Love the sub-channels 'cause like I mentioned in a post last night ... love the old shows...hate the new ones.

Painting the deck today.....not thrilled in the least.
Fairly brisk is suburban Ashland, this morning, and going to have a low tonight of 33. Going to see Ashland and Russell play tonight. Both 3A schools and both undefeated. Should be a good game, but Russell's best running back sprained a knee two weeks ago, and will be out for another week or two, so they are not at full strength. Hopefully, both will be at full strength when they meet in the playoffs. As cold as it is getting, tonight, it is supposed to be back into the 70's by Tuesday. Expected this time of year. Everyone have a blessed day.
