  • Last Monday I got tangled up in the temporary fence that we put up to keep her in tow. I fell and got a sore right knee, left ankle and right elbow. I did not break anything. I went on to work and worked all day, but it was a miserable day getting up and down.
  • I laid out Tuesday due to the soreness.
  • Getting old is Hell. You will find out if you haven't already.
  • Accident at Ft. Stewart kills 3 of our soldiers and injures some. Don't know any details yet.
  • We need some coaching changes for the QB position and the receivers. Badly.
  • Beautiful day in Cumming. 66º. Blue skies.

My son spent a horribly busy 6 weeks in 2002 at Ft. Stewart getting their division out for Iraq. He said he did not average two hours of sleep a night. He said it was worse than his officer training in Washington State.

Don, I was on the road yesterday and had to listen to most of the game on WHAS in the car. Just like old times.

Stu, yeah I took a couple of extra days. Anything worth doing for a month is worth doing for 33 days.

Missed the D league but I did get my bar finished. Sink is installed but I'm not going to hook up the water until Spring. I have to install a Y connector at the house spigot and I don't want to fool with it until I know it isn't going to freeze for awhile.

Wish I could have come back to gloat about UK beating the dawgs, but...

Loved what I saw in the Blue White game! This has the potential to be another special group. Like all the new guys but I think I'm more excited to see the returning players show out. Junior Nick Richards could end up being a force around the basket. Told my wife he has the potential to be a guy the national media gushes about. Hope this is his year.

Welcome back Ymmot. We have been campaigning for your release. How often do you have to check in with your probation officer?

I hope it didn't look as bad as it sounded. I sure hope Stenberg is a senior. I've had about enough of that dude and his untimely penalties that negate our great plays.

Haha, hey I've got us down on my calendar for Stevie Ray's on Nov 2 at 1730. Is that still on?

You too brother! Thanks.

The good side is that the defense is playing pretty well, and we get most of them back next year.
Glad to be back! Honored to share the air with you!

Thanks Bert! You know I'm just a phone call away. I'm still in the process of getting the picture of your granddaughter to you. I'm sure her parents have showed you some though. I'll try again today if my wife will help me. She hasn't been able to help me yet, but I'm holding out hope.

  • Hello D league!
  • Hope all is well!
  • Looking at used SUVs time to upgrade the family vehicle. Anyone have any recommendations on anything?
  • Carry on!
We're longtime Nissan drivers and recently purchased a Rogue. I'd also recommend Honda Pilot, Toyota Land Cruiser or Chevy Suburban. If purchasing used, shop around at dealerships located in larger metro areas (Louisville, Lex, Cincy, Knoxville, Nashville). You might be surprised what you can purchase used with remaining warranty.

My wife drives a Chevy Traverse and she loves it. Has a 3rd seat to carry up to 8 people and the AWD is excellent. It is only front wheel until it detects slippage and then it automatically goes into AWD. Goes places when my 4WD truck has problems. Rides great and is quiet.

Last 2 ball games got me hit three times, avoided a few more, caught some others all up the middle. All of the movement and pounding has my back, knee's, feet and right eye hurting (got something in it). Below is my calf today after a line drive (I pitch) hit my calf and bounced to the second baseman. Still got the out too. Tried to turn and catch the ball but could not get down in time. The second picture is from 2 years ago mid season when sliding into second under the second baseman when the throw went high, he jumped to get it and both feet came down on my leg. Nothing broken, just a bad bruise.

Have a 2017 Rogue, Wildcat Blue.

I think I can see the mark left by the threads of that ball in your bruise.

My wife has an Audi Q5 and swears by it. It is a perfect size for her needs and is a very high performance vehicle.. I don't get to drive it much as I prefer my pick up and it is her car but when I do, it is a lot of fun. It is also extremely comfortable and a smooth riding machine.

At least once a day in the political thread. I have to conform though.

Excellent advice! I think that with quality standards being what they are today, that it would be easier to search for a vehicle by culling the losers rather than making the slim distinction between the best. That being said, do NOT get ANY vehicle with CVT. Constantly Variable Transmission. Don't do it and forget the subject.

Get an SUV that shares the same engine with other vehicles that are offered. If you get a common drivetrain, the bugs have been worked out and your chances of getting a goodun go up considerably.

YMMOT IS BACK! (Well, for a little while at least))

Whoooaa now! Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

It is great to see that YMMOT IS BACK. FREE AT LAST, THANK GOD YMMOT IS FREE AT LAST.

Good to have you back, the League is not the same without you.

I had a dream that I would return.

Ditto for my wife's car. Got to drive it extensively this weekend and it never gets old. Effortless, quiet, immediate power. Handles like it's on rails but that's just because I'm driving too slow.

Better safe than sorry, Don. Based on all the crippled guys' posts on here, I think a group discount might be available.

Yeah, pickups are easier to slide into. No bending down to get in.

A young guy that I worked with one time, said to me " I'm not as dumb as you think I look". I replied " maybe not".
Yeah it's funny, intelligence should be considered relative to subject matter. However, in today's world we have people in academia who decide what is considered intelligent and it has to do with their standard of teaching/degree. Common sense and reality be damned.

I'm going to splurge and do the 4K HDR thing.
Been thinking about it myself.
My Pioneer plasma recently passed and I replaced it with this "Linky" at model clearance pricing. Perfect panel for my home entertainment center/theater needs. Ordered on Monday had it Saturday in time for games.
My advice, don't get too hung up in the 4K BS. Large screen HD (1080P) screens > 48" appear grainy due to the large pixel size. The 4K screens have approximately 4x the HD pixels. The newer 4K models have improved scalers allowing the better HD image scaling of the 1080P material into the 4K screen display. That's likely what you'll be watching for some time.
