Well, the defense played well enough to win, today. We just couldn't score. Tough to play a top 10 team with a WR at QB.
Good Sunday Morning
Looks like the little storm has moved on by and we shouldn't be getting as much rain today. Yesterday we had an hour or tow of sunshine then a hard heavy rain followed by bright sunshine. This went on all day. But the rain is welcome. Temperatures are mile and we may hit close to 80 this afternoon.
I turned the football game off after the 3rd quarter and got ready for bed. I saw enough to know we did not have an offense or a quarterback who could thow the ball so the hole we dug against Georgia was too much to climb out of. I pray our coach and OC will make quarterback a priority. We have a good one coming in next year but you need more than that. This season has proved that if you are depending on one talented QB to get your through a season that is a risk. Look at the teams in the SEC that have lost their best and starting QB. We are not alone.
I just realized this morning that I missed my September IRS payment. Completely forgot about it so I have to do something about that. Trust all have a great day.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 68°F. Expecting a 93°F high today.
I was happy halftime score yesterday was 0-0, and thought we had a chance. It appeared as if Tropical Storm Nestor might have represented our "12th-man", so to speak. Defense played great first half. Problem is our offense just could not get going. Ugly game during the second half. Dawgs ran over us.
Lotsa other good football yesterday. Horns squeaked out a W against Jayhawks here in ATX.

Don, I was on the road yesterday and had to listen to most of the game on WHAS in the car. Just like old times.
Stu, yeah I took a couple of extra days. Anything worth doing for a month is worth doing for 33 days.
Missed the D league but I did get my bar finished. Sink is installed but I'm not going to hook up the water until Spring. I have to install a Y connector at the house spigot and I don't want to fool with it until I know it isn't going to freeze for awhile.
Wish I could have come back to gloat about UK beating the dawgs, but...
Loved what I saw in the Blue White game! This has the potential to be another special group. Like all the new guys but I think I'm more excited to see the returning players show out. Junior Nick Richards could end up being a force around the basket. Told my wife he has the potential to be a guy the national media gushes about. Hope this is his year.

Game yesterday was less than stellar. Not all was lost this weekend...at least the Cats won the blue-white game.

What a week. Between a newborn baby, trying to work full time, getting sick with a nasty case of bronchitis, Boo Bash this weekend and my 14 yr old getting a girlfriend I’m plumb worn out. For a while there I didn’t know if I was coming or going.
Crashed last night at about 9:30 and didn’t get up until about 8 this morning. Didn’t make it to church either.
I guess I’m getting too old to bounce back like I used to. Today we have to catch up all the laundry, get this filthy house cleaned up and go to the grocery.
Anyway... I think Kentucky football is pretty well done for the year. Losing TW for the year..especially the way we lost him...the heartbreaking loss to UF then Sawyer getting hurt pretty much did it for them. I hate it for the guys , I know they work hard and I hate it for Stoops.
I am looking forward to basketball though. Should be a good year; I hope it’s a great one

Yeap, we did not get ours in until the first week of October. The IRS acknowledged getting it and so far they have not charged me with a penality; however, the bastards usually wait about a year for any misstep. I am so tired of the quarterly payments when it should not be necessary.

I could not finish the Alabama game last night. Learned this morning that they did soundly whip the Vols. I was glad to see Wisc get beat. Dang Clemson's only ranked opponent this year is Texas A&M. How the coaches can keep them number 2 for playing no one is fool hardy. Clemson beat TA&M 24-10 at Clemson. Alabama bested Texas A&M at Texas A&M by 47-28. Now Texas A&M is not even ranked because they can't win games in a real conference. Yet the ACC gets attention. Why?

Thanks Bert! You know I'm just a phone call away. I'm still in the process of getting the picture of your granddaughter to you. I'm sure her parents have showed you some though. I'll try again today if my wife will help me. She hasn't been able to help me yet, but I'm holding out hope.
You must have forgotten that Clempson played a powerhouse ul squad and squeaked by with a 35 point win. In other exciting ACC news...UNC*** played VT.

Benny Snell is killing it in Picksburg. I didn't know how his game would translate to the NFL but I needed to understand the difference in a pro offensive line compared to a middle of the road college ol. Best of luck to that dude. He's gonna be a good one.
