D-League

I just watched the UT - BYU replay of their game last night. If you have not done so I would suggest it. Or at least the last minute and OT. Pruitt showed us how not to coach football.

There are four men who attend church with me who are die hard Tennessee fans. None were at service this morning. I pray they are well.

Good Monday Morning D League

Listening on the radio and the weather girl says the area will have unseasonably warm weather due to Dorian taking a lot of moisture out of the air. We are currently at 71°F with a high of 91°F. A 40% chance of rain this afternoon is forecast.

Continued prayers for RR and now we add Terry Wilson to the prayer list. It is a tough break from Terry and the team. I trust he gets back to 100% and our backup keeps things moving. I still say we have a better year than the national experts project.

Here we go with another week. .

Good morning! I didn't officially wake up until the phone rang at 1100. Went to sleep at 0100 and was awake for 2 hours between 4 and 6. I got 8 hours in but it took an effort. You can say a lot of things about me but I'm not a quitter. I'll stay in bed until the job is done!

Terry Wilson has very skinny legs. I always thought he'd get hurt running out amongst the big boys. Smith is going to be fine and I'll bet he can hand the ball off just as good as anyone else. He was touted as being accurate with the long ball. I hope he and Flagner hang out quite a bit and get to be real good friends.

Wife is playing hookie today.

Hello everybody...
Back alive from the golf weekend. Great weather, great time.
Yesterday was a day of recovery. Today is the 2nd day of recovery....
Have a Dr. appt on Thursday so I was scheduled to get some lab/blood work done this morning. Probably not the best time for that but, oh well...hopefully they're not looking for yeast, hops & barley.
Sucks to hear about TW out for the year. SS is gonna have to step up & be a man.
Son's car won't go into reverse...if it aint one thing it's another. Just how life works as you all are well aware.
Monday...

I watched the rerun of the Eastern Michigan game and paid particular note of the QB after Terry was injured. Watching that again gave me a feeling of confidence in our quarterback position. I did a little research on Smith and found out he made All State two years in North Florida. He had a baseball scholarship offer from Alabama which tells we a couple of things. One he can throw a ball and he has athletic ability. He was an option QB in high school and he can run. Maybe not as flashy or as quick as Terry but I think he will get the job done.

Finally he has some experience. I think he will be a good quarterback this year.

These are good signs of things to come. Anyone who gets a baseball scholarship from an SEC school should be taken seriously as an athlete; as fiercly competitive (and arguably on par with many AA minor league teams) as the SEC is in baseball, they just don't hand out scholarships unless you're a serious ballplayer. Here's to hoping that he can handle the mental aspects of the game and the pressure of being "Next Man Up"
